This is the worst Mexican food that I have ever eaten! I had an order delivered by Uber eats last night and the two orders of nacho were missing, the Cameron's was turned upside down and the sauce leaked out all through the bag. The portions were small, and you eat with your eyes first. In this case you go blind. The portions were not satisfying at all. This isn't authentic, it's a shame. And the rice and beans were godawful. We had to place an order to a real, authentic restaurant in Branford because the hunger pangs needed to be fuelled. We paid a lot less, had portions five times the size and were finally satiated. We even have some left over. When I called this restaurant and asked to speak to the manager, I was told that they wouldn't be back until next week. How convenient. This is the first, and last time that I will ever order from this restaurant! read more

Placed an order for catering with enough time in advance and fully paid and they did not have my order ready at the time we agreed on knowing ahead of time my event was not local. The owner Juani was rude and when I called to see what was going on she hung up in my face. She showed zero professionalism or empathy for making me 45 minutes late. I will not be recommending this place at all flavor isn't everything stay humble and do your job right. One of my favorite restaurants in Fair Haven and Pedro the bartender is definitely the person to go to when you want a nice cocktail. The ambiance is very family friendly and oriented. Lots of tables and plenty of space to dance in the bar section. You must try if you haven't already and get a classic Mojito. read more

So the wait was a little long to get our food but it was well worth it! My grandma ordered the chille relleno and she really liked it, which is great since she's really picky and being Mexican herself she always has something to say about Mexican cuisine. A lot of restaurants don't use the right cheese but this one does and the salsa was delicious as well. I ordered tacos al pastor and the flavor was phenomenal, I just wish the salsa was a bit spicier but it was good overall. Heard about Salsa from a friend who went several times with her husband and they always enjoyed everything about their meals and service. I was driving by one late afternoon and realized I was super hungry and craving a margarita so parked in the free lot across the street and popped in to sit at the roomy bar. Salsa's Classic Margarita was delicious! I was in the mood for comfort food so ordered the veggie nachos and it was outstanding. Their regular guacamole tasted as good as other restaurant's table-side guac. The service was fast and super friendly. I had a great time and felt very relaxed there. I will begin with the good part of the meal; the mojito was excellent, though cost as much as my meal, and the service was prompt and not invasive. First, the lights are too bright, so ambiance is off. Second, I ordered a tex-mex burrito with no beans and no jalapeños, because that is what is listed as ingredients, and I was told they don't put jalapeños in it, so I began confused. What I received was a burrito that was 90% rice & 10% grilled steak, with a small side of sour cream and a small side of guacamole. The flavor was there, the rest was not. Sour cream and guac should be inside the burrito, and steak should be the main event. I'm from a border city in California and I've lived here in Connecticut for a couple of years and this burrito made me the saddest. If someone knows a place with a genuinely good carne asada burrito, let me know, because this wasn't it. read more

This is your typical mom and pop shop. They open early and close late. What I liked about the place is you can order a beer with breakfast! I ordered the Menudo. It was a bit flavorless. It came with rice and beans for $17! Very expensive. The menudo only comes with the meat & broth you won't get any hominy with it. They serve coffee which is pretty good for a regular restaurant. Service is great. The girl is very attentive. The bathrooms are clean. The tables are limited so it fills up quick. The menu is pretty pricey whatever you decide to order. The food is alright. A lot of hit or miss items. But the flavor is always good. Just don't expect to get food here during lunch hour. They always take incredibly long to get orders out. It's as if they don't have anything prepped. I've ordered food for lunch an hour ahead and when I get there, I've still had to wait before getting it. I've ordered for delivery (I live 5 minutes top from the place) and they've taken 1.5 hours. Still worth a try for good food. The servers are always courteous and nice. But I don't know why the kitchen is always taking so long. read more

Great Mexican restaurant tucked away in Grand Ave. We came for lunch on a Saturday and were seated right away. There were a few other people eating as well. Had the 3 combo tacos (carnitas, tongue and cueritos). My husband had the carnitas burrito. Everything tasted fresh and was prepared when we ordered. They even have aguas frescas. We both had the horchatas. They were delicious. The family next to us ordered the fajitas, they looked yummy. Would definitely visit again. They also have several beers available. read more
