The food was AMAZING! Not all pictured but we especially loved the Mexican hot dog, pozole verde, queso fundido and hibiscus agua Fresca!!! My step dad got the chicharon quesadilla which he loved. It is cute and vibey. Our server was kind and honest :)

Wow, I Don't know why I took so long to try this place out. I've been following this chef since he first opened his restaurant Roomba in New Haven. It was the first time I tried a Mexican torta and it won't be the last. Don't skip out on their queso fun detail. It's probably the best I've ever had loaded with mushrooms strips of poblano pepper and chorizo. Absolutely delicious!. Pork belly tacos was a solid choice as well. I can't wait to back for Happy Hour.

Very nice indoor/outdoor restaurant with tasty tacos and an excellent spicy margarita. We had the Carne Arrechera with their spiciest sauce. The flavors were fresh, and the blue tortillas delicious. The prices are pretty high for the size of the tacos. Johnny had the gringo taco and a pocho asada taco (chicken). All were good but the Arrechera were by far the best. The atmosphere is comfy and service pretty decent. We will be back

The ambiance and servers were great. We had a party of 12 and everyone raved about the food. My friend and I got the family style tacos and we unfortunately were the only ones dissatisfied with our meal. We got the chicken and pastor tacos. The chicken was dry and the el pastor did not have pineapple. The server just brought us a small dish of pineapples to resolve the issue. Overall had a great time, but wish we enjoyed our meal as much as everyone else!

This place isn't far from where I am staying, so I've frequented here a few times. The quality of ingredients is top notch, and their drink selections are both wide and strong. My go-to is the octupus and shrimp ceviche - fresh, acidic, and flavorful. Octupus and chorizo tacos are another one of my favorites. As a side, I'd reach for the street corn off the cob every time. Two issues I've had are when it comes to choozing tacos and cost. You can mix and match the basic tacos, but when it comes to the special tacos, you get two and can not mix and match. Then the cost is something to consider. It was almost enough to give this place 4 stars, but the quality won out.

It's a yes for me. Four stars. Love the decor. Bartenders were friendly and talkative. The food was delicious. Portions are modest, not big. Everything very vibrant. All the elements of a new favorite place!

Long standing Camacho fan. Always enjoy the people, ambiance is always on point. Last dining experience was not so great. Ordered the birria tacos, chicken quesadilla and the queso fundido. The queso was delicious, hot, flavorful and well Prepared. The chicken in the quesadilla was dry, cold and hard to eat. My birria had a warm taco and cold meat. Margarita was delicious. Moving forward this will be more of a happy hour spot for me and no longer for dinner and special occasions.

Camacho Garage. It is truly a fun and enjoyable place to spend your end of week, listening to great music, savoring a glass of spicy margarita, and indulging in delicious Mexican cuisine. We decided to try the family taco meal, and to our surprise, it turned out to be incredibly generous and could easily feed a family of four. The fish tacos were amazing, and even though I don't consume meat, I was informed that the chicken was also delicious and divine. If I may make a recommendation, do not hesitate to ask for extra pickled red onions as they complement the dishes perfectly. Our waiter, Carlos, provided exceptional service, and he made sure to check on us frequently throughout our meal. Overall, my time at Camacho Garage was delightful, and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a lively atmosphere and scrumptious Mexican food.

Ambiance nice. We sat in the covered outdoor area that had heat lamps. Waiter was very nice and a manager or owner checked in on us to make sure that everything was good. Food was very tasty. I plan to go back for food and drinks at the bar.

First and foremost I love the aesthetic and concept. It's an actual garage that has been transformed into a restaurant! Now the food, the elite is a must! It was my favorite thing on the menu. The guacamole is a nice shareable. I got the tuna and shrimp ceviche and it was very fresh but I personally wasn't the biggest fan! The drinks are also tasty and fairly strong.

Great atmosphere, good tacos, and a great price! We had about 20 people with 2 tables of 10. Our group flew in for a local event and met here for lunch. People from Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, New York, Arizona, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. The employees at the restaurant were friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a fun experience!

My friend and I enjoyed dinner here tonight. The service was good and the food also! The decor of this place is super unique and creative. The time and day we went wasn't busy which was nice. Happy hour deals are great. $6 for sangria! I would definitely come back.

Great tequila program with good cocktails. It's not my first time here but I came here this time to lunch. Here is what I thought: Table side Guacamole is a must especially if you are with a group. The portion is bigger than you think so it's a bit much for 2 people and better for 3+. When they ask if you want it spicy, I personally don't think they go that heavy. If you can handle the heat, spicy really won't knock your socks off. The hamburger is good. Standard and safe. Not much more I need to say about it. Tacos are good and the portion is decent. Not the best I had in the Connecticut and average if you are in the south west. It hits if you miss the flavor profile and really crave it. Hatch Green Chili Stew is really good. Hatch green chili isn't that spicy and gives a Smokey sweeter aroma compared to other peppers. This might be the best thing I had on the menu in terms of food. It was my birthday so I order the Fistful of Dollars for a drink. I enjoyed it for a tequila based cocktail but not sure if I would normally spend that much on a single drink moving forward. Drinks and decor is what makes this restaurant stand out. If you are out on a Friday night or the weekend, I do think this is a great restaurant to get your tequila in because it's one of the best tequila programs I seen in awhile.

The restaurant is loud and becomes a tequila shot bar in the evening. But, there are only two dirty, unisex bathrooms. YES, THIS BAR EMPLOYEES PHYSICALLY ABUSIVE BOUNCERS! Best for any decent person to avoid this hole and tell your student kids to stay away. We considered calling the cops but didn't want to miss the quality time and events with classmates elsewhere as it was our 25th REUNION! Way to improve the neighborhood, New Haven! Anyone with common sense should stay away from Geronimo's violence-provoking Tequila Bar.

I've been to Te Amo Tequila Bar & Taco more than 10 times, and I still love it every single visit…read more I've come for happy hour, brunch, and dinner and I honestly have zero complaints. It's always a vibe. Most recently, I stopped by with a coworker for drinks and to catch up. Around 9ish, a DJ came in and started playing fun music, which took the energy up another level. It turned into the perfect mix of relaxed and lively. And let's talk about the drinks their spicy guava margarita is still my absolute favorite. It's the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and refreshing. If you're looking for good food, great drinks, and a fun atmosphere that never disappoints, this is the spot. I'll definitely keep coming back.

But when I try to explain to people that the way ingredients fall on a plate of nachos actually matters, people look at me like I'm nuts. Look at this. One look and you know the bottom layer is doomed. They were generous with the cheese, it even seeped through the bottom layer, but then they exiled the cilantro (why is it even on there?) to one side like it's trapped behind a mountain range. Then you got the salsa, sour cream and guac in plastic containers forming an aggressive and completely unnecessary alliance on its border. Why put plastic containers on top of the food to begin with. Im not being crazy, this is physics. None of the ingredients tasted like real food anyway. I don't know where New Haven gets its produce but it all tastes like it was 3D printed. All else: waitresses were incredibly sweet. music was incredibly annoying.
