I have tried a lot of Mexican places and there are some that are not authentic but are still flavourful in their own way and that is alright. But this place was a disappointment on another lever. Considering this place is super close by to our new place we had hopes that it would have some great tacos/food. I am a vegetarian and tried jalapeño poppers which were the frozen ones fried. The worst part about them was the sauce they were served with. It had a raspberry sweet sauce and I have never seen that anywhere else. I still kept an open mind and tried it but it was terrible. I am so sorry but didn't really go well at all with any kind of open mind/taste buds. Please change the sauce with this. It doesn't need to be a spicy sauce but something better and not sweet. The tacos (as described by my husband) were very bland and the red and green salsa that came with it were terrible as well. I won't be coming back. read more

After reading all of the raving reviews on Facebook in community groups about this newly opened restaurant in town, we just had to try it out. Everyone said how deliciously authentic the food was and how friendly the those working there were. We had company over this weekend and thought it was the perfect opportunity to give it a try for take out. We even went as far as making our own piñata earlier in the week and our guests brought all of the ingredients to make margaritas to go with the meal. My husband placed the order over the phone and was told it would be ready in about 15 minutes. This is around 5pm on a Saturday night. We ordered the following: 3 duck burritos, a chicken burrito, chicken enchiladas, ground beef tacos, a kid's cheese quesadilla, 2 orders of salsa/chips/guac and 1 large queso. To my amazement, it came to a bit over $80. I'm sorry to say, it wasn't worth it. The burritos at $9-$10 each came with nothing along with it, just a burrito. Those who had them said they were delicious though. My chicken enchiladas were disappointing. It was very ground up chicken, not shredded. The enchilada itself was very dry, I think they forgot to add sauce on it, it just had cheese sprinkled on it. There was suppose to be two of them, unless they were very thin and stacked one on top of the other...I'm pretty sure there was just one. It came with rice and lettuce/pico de gallo. The rice was very bland and dry too. The quesadilla was lacking and also came with dry rice, our son wasn't a fan. The beef tacos, you get 2 of them open faced, just alright. The chips were good, queso was great, salsa too spicy and the guac was not freshly made...it was that shelf-stable pre-made kind. Yuck. When we placed the order we mentioned sour cream on the side, not on any of the dishes (like you'd expect it to come). We ended up not getting any sour cream whatsoever. Oh, that's because that's also a separate charge and now we see it listed under Sides on the menu. There is even a picture in their menu of quesadillas, in the picture it shows lettuce, guac, salsa and sour cream as if it all comes together. So a bit misleading. Needless to say, our company enjoyed their orders. Our margaritas and piñata bailed it out, but I kind of wish I had spent my $80 elsewhere in the end. Not sure if we'll be back. read more

I had seen this place in my drive up and down Route 80, and decided to stop in here to pick up some dinner one night when I didn't feel like cooking. The owner suggested the burrito with chicken, avocado and chipotle sauce. It was terrific. Full-size burrito stuffed with chicken, avocado, rice, pico de gallo, lettuce and excellent flavor. It was made fresh right there in front of me and I took it home, still warm when I get inside. The tortilla was fresh and the filling was plentiful, I had enough for two meals. I will definitely be back here and want to try everything else that they have. The table next to me ordered a plate full of nachos, they looked and smelled delicious so I may try that at a future time with my family! read more

If I could give them 10 stars, I would. One of my all time favorite restaurants. Everything here is delicious, but my favorite is the shrimp tacos & shrimp burrito. Not only is the food incredible, but the family that owns/runs the restaurant are kind & dedicated to their customers. Each time I come in they greet me & remember my order. I was really so excited to try this new place as we don't have many authentic Mexican restaurants to choose from locally. I was disappointed to say the least! The prices are a bit over the top as the items do not come with rice or anything. The tacos were very dry and bland, the quesadillas were just ok, a $13 order of nachos on a paper plate that was too small to even share amongst people. Most of the items came on paper plates with aluminum foil....what you might see in my fridge from leftovers. Not impressed! The order was $100 for everything ordered and you would think they would have thrown in chips and small salsa or something for that price. Also don't plan on trying to give your card over phone to pay upfront because they don't know how to do that?!! Now during Covid and probably the only place that doesn't do that. read more
