Although the stylist, level 3, was not fit for her level. I mentioned to her that i wanted layers, and she first said that she will cut layers after styling. That is the first i am hearing. Then she changed her mind and did layers right after the cut, very rushed. Then with styling, i had asked for outward curls, whereas she did inwards. As i pointed tthat her technique was not wrong, she mentioned that it was my hair that was a problem. My teen-age son who never paid attention to my hair today asked me what was wrong with my hair. There you go! LOL (2 stars are for the friendly front desk staff and shampoo lady.)

Excellent salon and I love my stylist but this place is too expensive for me now…read more It was reasonable before and while it was not cheap -- it was manageable. Over the years the price crept up close to 200 for a cut, root touchup and a few foils. The last time I went it was 228 and I was shocked. But I didn't say anything. I was gone for a two months and when I came back-- this time it was 273. I don't normally ask for details on why so high. I'm sorry to say I will have to look elsewhere.

I found the Owner, who cut and colored my hair (because my regular stylist had left for another…read moresalon), was fairly rude, and didn't listen. Beyond asking what I was looking for, she never asked me one question or spoke to me at all (and I was there for well over 3 hours), except to defend her reasoning for not doing my hair the way I specifically requested. I found this strange, given I was giving them another chance, because I really like my former stylist. You would think an Owner would want to at least attempt to build a relationship of some type; or just be kind. One more note, while my hair was fine (not horrible), not one person could tell I had anything done, after almost 4 hours there and over $400 for a cut, single process and highlights.

I will recommend Katherine to my friends and colleagues. August 2025

For the quality of my stylist, I would rate a five. I have been going to Margo since 2004 for my…read morehaircuts. Highly qualified and great haircut. I only get a haircut, no blow dry or styling. The reason for my low rank is the significant price increase. I paid $45 in January (preCOVID), $55 in July and $65 in September. I understand some price increase, but that is just TOO much. Customers pay the same price for cut only and cut and style. Time is money, it is less time for a cut only and should be reflected in the price. I will just go less often. Too bad. Their loss....

Besides the fact that my scalp was painful when she was done for days, actually scabbed. The treatment didn't last past the NEXT WASH. Sure it looked great when I left after they flat ironed it. Certainly there are worse ways to get ready for a massage! After the massage, I went into a proverbial recovery room. It was similar to a salt cave of sorts. There was a waterfall with calcified salt all around it. I will absolutely be back, and I will try out different massages moving forward.
