Like most guys, I set the bar pretty low when it comes to getting my hair cut. I usually just want to be sure that I'm not left looking like an idiot. If I can have a decent experience at the same time, that would be an unexpected bonus. Salon Olivia has managed to deliver on both of these fronts. First my wife started going to Salon Olivia, and I noticed that she was looking *HOT*. Even when I saw my wife looking so good, I never thought to get my hair cut there, too (maybe the name scared me off?). Not too long ago, I was looking pretty shaggy. I guess the wife wasn't lovin' it, because she went ahead and made me an appointment at Salon Olivia. After I got over my resistance to the distinctly feminine name of the place, I showed up for my appointment. In the end (and after each appointment since) I was really amazed with the result. What do I like about Salon Olivia? * Laura takes the time at each appointment to consult with me, to make sure we're on the same page, before she starts cutting. * Initially, she also took the time to explain the best cut for the shape of my lumpy head. She was dead-on. I might have an ugly mug, but this ugly mug has a great haircut! It's seriously the best cut I've ever had. * Whoever washes my hair ROCKS! It's like a killer scalp massage, which makes for a nice change after a crappy day. * I always feel comfortable in the place. Today, I was offered a plate of homemade cookies. Not bad, huh? I'm trying to convince them to keep a jug of hooch under the front counter, too, but I don't think I'll have any luck there. Give these guys a try. From the warm and friendly front desk ladies- Deb & Christine to the gorgeous soft yellow and lilac decor . Laura, the salon owner, is truly a visionist. Using her many years of experience in the beauty industry , transformed a sad situation into me leaving very happy and feeling and looking gorgeous . Laura and her staff make you feel like you just entered your best friends house. The prices are reasonable for us working women who don't have a lot if money but want the total salon experience. Impressive. Finally I have found a stylist and salon that I get a full return on my investment. After my first visit I was hooked and re-booked. It's bad enough my hair is difficult and has always been challenging to manage. My stylist, Susan, highly educated and delivers true consultative services. I recently had the Keratin Express by another stylist, Josephine and the Keratin Express has been a lifesaver, time saver and the price was reasonable considering I have thick, long hair. There's nothing more enjoyable than heading to the salon after a long day at work for some much needed pampering. Salon Olivia is my 'go to' salon, usually for color and a fresh cut. The salon is super clean and the environment is so relaxing. All of the staff is friendly and welcoming. My favorite stylist, Rachel, is always patient when listening to my request of the month (bangs/no bangs, shade of color or highlights, etc). She is the only one I go to at the salon. I cannot say enough about Salon Olivia! From the moment you walk in, the entire staff makes you feel right at home. It is a beautiful salon with many talented stylists. On multiple occasions, I have gone in for their all-organic spray tan with Maureen and they have turned out beautifully! She made me feel so comfortable (which is not so easy when you are getting a spray tan)! The tan has always looked super natural and lasts me well over a week! It is also very reasonably priced!
