So, deceived by the fake and manufactured positive reviews, you - just like me - ended up on this website and are considering this so called "salon" as a pick for your hair makeover? For the love of yourself - stay away from this place and especially - stay away from Frank Marino. I am uploading the before and after photos of what Frank Marino did to my hair and let his failed crooked practice speak louder than any of my words. This is Frank Marino's "hair coloring passion" in making. Kindergarten children could do a better imitation of the desired end state than this charlatan. After looking at my photos you don't wonder at all why this is so horrible - at the end of the day, this guy is a FAILED CAR MECHANIC!!! (?) - Really? Swindlers like Frank Marino must be stripped off of their licenses and should not be allowed to inflict a damage to people who fall into the deceptive web of lies proudly and profoundly propagated on his website. What kind of a team could you imagine failed car mechanic would employ in his "salon"? - Worse incompetent jokers than himself: Luis Karakasians "cut" my hair. I requested a straight cut of the length of my hair as opposed to a layered cut in order to give my hair natural fullness. I literally had to spend 15 minutes explaining to him what a straight cut was - even after searching and showing photos on internet the guy just was not getting it. Then he completely disappeared and I was told he was sick and had to leave. Showing photos: - I had about 15 select photos showing what I wanted in terms of a hair color - one is displayed here. But when one simply does not have a talent to perceive and create the end result, show as many photos, the result is going to be crooked no matter what. This is what makes Frank Marino a criminal who is claiming what he is not. After not having recovered from the shock of my ruined hair color, he sent his "second to the best" colorist to make up for my color disaster (the first best is considered to be himself - how ever unbelievable this might sound looking at my hair). This woman Solange Burley started her "expert speech" trying to convince me how "impossible" it was to accomplish what I wanted on my hair; she was factually telling me that she could not give me low lights and highlights shown on the photo allegedly because it was impossible to lighten up my natural hair color to a desired undertone. You can have a look at my photos to see how WHITE my hair is because of the excessive bleach applied inadequately. After figuring out that her wrongful statements were challenged and compromised and we reached the bottom of her "expertise", this is what she told me: "I am sorry, I have to go, I have to take care of other clients" and she left. I have never in my life seen a place so unprofessional and full of incompetent imposters. Nobody - absolutely nobody took any responsibility of the damage they did to my hair - not that they could. Everybody in that small room was aware of what was going on. And as I was walking out of the place everybody including Frank Marino looked the other way as if nothing had happened. Sounds shocking? I had an appointment at Salon Sora in Boca Raton for a bang consultation and potential trim with Kerri. I chose this salon because of its strong reputation and mostly positive reviews, and I came in with a very open and positive mindset. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. Instead of being seen by Kerri, I was approached by a male stylist who did not introduce himself or ask for my name. There was no basic level of professionalism or courtesy from the start. It wasn't until I was leaving and specifically asked for his name that he told me it was "Jon Pierre." I later learned his actual name is Michelangelo, which I find very concerning. I explained calmly that my bangs had recently been cut slightly shorter than expected at another salon and that I simply wanted an honest opinion on whether anything could be done--or if I should just let them grow out into a curtain style. Rather than offering constructive guidance, he repeatedly told me that my hair looked like a "mullet." This comment was not only unnecessary, but he continued to repeat it excessively despite my clear discomfort. When I expressed that I felt insulted, the situation escalated. Instead of responding professionally, he told me I was being "too emotional" and "immature," and even went as far as to call me a "child for a 40-year-old woman," which is inaccurate and completely inappropriate regardless. At no point did he apologize. He continued to justify his comments by saying he was "just being honest," while dismissing how his words were being received. This was not my first disappointing experience at this salon--I had previously spent hundreds of dollars here and required a color correction after poor highlighting results. However, because Salon Sora is open on Sundays and has a strong online presence, I decided to give it another chance. That was a mistake. I left feeling insulted, embarrassed, and genuinely upset--something no client should ever experience at a professional business. I do want to acknowledge that the front desk receptionist, Nicole, was very kind, apologetic, and professional when I spoke with her. She handled the situation with far more care than the stylist did. That said, based on my experiences, I would not return to this salon. For most of my life I have worn my hair very long, braided and clipped up. It was a combination of fear of change and habit. Finally, had enough and decided to make a change for myself. Wow!! What a LIBERATING and GLAMOROUS experience with the help of Salon Sora. I read about Kerry Resnick in a magazine and knew right away that he is the one and ONLY person I wanted to cut my hair. I could never have been more right!!!! Kerry is not only talented but an incredible person. He made me feel beautiful inside and out even BEFORE the hair cut began. Kerry did an amazing job with the cut....total transformation! I could not even recognize myself in the mirror (lol... the cut was not even complete). But, he did not stop at the hair. My transformation continued with complementary make up from Nicole. It was like Kerry created the "Mona Lisa" and Nicole added the color with her paint brushes. She is talented and beautiful. The eye make up with the lashes took my breath away. OMG!!! I have never been made to look more glamorous. Loved every moment.. my face was hurting from smiling too much. The complements from family and friends were non stopping. My six year old nephew actually asked for my autograph ;) Everyone in Salon Sora, from the receptionist to the wash were professional, polite and supportive. The ambiance is as impressive as the group of people working there. For anyone looking for an INCREDIBLE transformation experience with amazingllllly talented staff...then look no more!! This salon is disgusting and the front desk staff is incredibly rude! The manager Chelsea berates and abuses both the assistants and the front desk (not that they don't need a good kick in the rear -- they're all constantly playing on their cell phones). I've never seen anything like it. Everyone is wearing leggings like they are pajamas and sandals. The girls at the front desk have dirty, greasy hair that's not even styled. Isn't the front desk supposed to be the first impression? All of the salon staff are so wrapped up in themselves that they don't bother to pay any attention to their customers, and the owners are virtually useless. I've also smelled alcohol on a particular stylist, but clearly being drunk on the job is not a big deal. It's no wonder there are so many bad reviews for this salon. Overpriced, dirty, and terrible customer service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! There are much better places in Boca where people actually care and they don't just pretend to be high class. I am from Puerto Rico and I was invited to attend my cousin's wedding in Boca Raton on June 8th of this year I needed a salon to get my hair and makeup done. I checked various salons out and decided on Salon Sora. I am so pleased with the results. Loved the service and the extraordinary treatment I was given. I was treated warmly. Sabrina, the young lady who shampooed my hair was very kind and did a good job getting my hair ready. Flo, the hair stylist was absolutely marvelous. Loved the way she styled my hair. She went out of her way to make my hair look good and last all afternoon and night no easy feat considering the stormy weather.Tina, the makeup artist, did a spectacular job with my makeup. She outdid herself concentrating on every little detail to make me look great and she succeeded. I absolutely loved the makeup. Loved the eyes she made them look fabulous. Everyone had only compliments about my look. I was sooo pleased. I truly recommend this lovely salon and their wonderful service. If I lived in Boca Ratón, I would definitely make this my beauty salon. read more

2/20/2020I Started going to sea nails about 8 months ago. At first I liked Annie a lot and Normally she did a pretty good job. About a month ago I went in for a fill, and noticed when they took off my polish that there was fungus starting to grow in the middle of one of my nails! I've been doing my nails for over 10 years, have always used acrylics and never ever had fungus before. I had Annie take off the whole nail and apply treatment to it and put a new nail & new acrylic on. The most recent time I went in, they told me they were closed and couldn't take me, even though they weren't closing for another hour. Well thank goodness they didn't take me! I decided to try a different nail salon not too far away since they were still open. When she took off my polish, the 1st initial finger that had fungus went away, but 2 of my other nails had fungus underneath them as well! Bad! I don't know if sea nails uses expired acrylic powder or if they are just not sanitary, but I will never be going back there ever again! read more

TERRIBLE! the only good thing I have to say is the staff is really nice,according to my daughter. Im writing this review for my daughter. She had a double process done. She has been having her hair done for about 15 years. Anyways while the bleach was on her head she complained of it burning. The girl was nice and asked her do you want me to rinse it? If I rinse it now you won't get as light as you want, so my daughter said no. WELL she came home with blisters and sores and bleading on her scalp. Also on the side of her face near her hair line she is burned. I called and asked for a refund. Thats all we wanted was a refund. The girl would not put the manager on the phone and took a message and its been 3 days with no call back. Thats fine. They can keep there $260.00 I will post this review all over the internet and I am positive it was influence AT LEAST a couple of people from not going there. So they can keep the money but in the end they probably lost more because of this review. read more

I have lived in Boca for many years and in that time I have gone to many salons. Never really finding what I came to expect in a salon I had continued to search. When by chance I stumbled upon Salon Sora I knew my search was over. Salon Sora is everything and then some! The staff is so friendly, the stylist incredibly talented, and you can tell from the cleanliness of the salon and the happiness of the employees that the management truly cares about not only the client but also their staff. I have very curly hair that can sometimes be a challenge to a stylist to cut but Louis, who cuts my hair always does a fabulous job! I see Frank for my color, who in my opinion is one of the best colorist in south Florida! He is always spot on with my color and his friendly and genuinely warm personality is always a pleasure to be around. My friend has had Kerry Resnik as her stylist for multiple decades. She was really upset when he moved from New York to Florida. When she found out he was in Boca Raton within driving distance from me; she flew from the East Coast and treated me to a make over at Salon Sora with Kerry. Here is some pre-story about me; I have been dealing with pervasive civil rights violations in Kentucky because my ex husband is an attorney in regards to access to the courts and child custody. I let myself go including my weight and my hair which was past mid thigh level. This is a high end salon. I was a little apprehensive because of my size and just letting myself go. No snootiness at Salon Sora. I was treated like a princess. I got the best hair cut of my life from Kerry Resnick which flattered my face and a whole new lease on life . . . . which is priceless. Absolutely the BEST salon I have ever been to!! I am now a FOREVER customer!! Kerry and his staff are everything and more than I even hoped for. I went in with long hair and wanted to go short, but was very nervous about such a drastic change...well, I am "walking on air" because my hair looks FABULOUS!! From the moment I walked in I knew I was in the right place. The salon is beautiful and everyone that works there is so sweet and full of good energy!! They made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I enjoyed a complimentary Mimosa and then Kerry (one of the wonderful owners) did his magic. He is pure genius when it comes to hair! :) I plan on going back in about 6-8 weeks for a trim and also to have Amy do her "colorist" magic on my hair.
