Been coming for over a year now. My mom lives in Boca Raton and will treat me to a blow out from time to time. Service is spectacular, spa is beautifully decorated and clean, while smelling like roses on the inside! All staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I have had blow outs with Michael and Sandra. Both are wonderful. Both Michael and Sandra pay close attention to detail. They really take their time blow drying and flat ironing until they obtain the results that you want. I have also done a Botox treatment for calming down hair frizziness. Today, I cut my hair with Sandra and she asked me every step of the way how much I wanted to cut without cutting willy nilly and me being upset with the results afterwards. I appreciated this so much because I have very long hair and have experienced poor etiquette when it comes to getting permission before cutting. Absolute WORST experience I have ever had at a salon. Please read the comments and see pictures and judge for yourself. BUT I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK TO THIS SALON. they ruined my hair. It'll be long, but every aspect of this story is CRAP. So to start this story off, I called May 1st to see if they were taking clients due to the covid-19 they said yes, and we made an appointment for May 5th! They said they would give me a call if they couldn't open. So May 5th came around, I drove 40 minutes and called off work and when I arrived the doors were locked and no one was there. My appointment was at 10am, around 12pm I finally got a TEXT saying oh hey, I'm sure you know already we couldn't get to your appointment we were able to open yadda yadda yadda... I so message them back what happened and that no one gave me a courtesy call or anything. They apologized and said they'll give me a discount. So we rescheduled. So, when my next appointment came too... I showed the stylist what I wanted. (See picture) and if you can tell by the other picture I'll post it was NOTHING of what I wanted. I had blue hair before hand, and so he stripped my hair to get the color out, which didn't work. And then when he colored my hair he didn't even use the correct colors, and gave me some sort of ombré vs CLEAR LOWLIGHTS that are seen in the photo. The whole time i am questioning him and he tells me that we're on the same page but WE WERENT. So he stripped my hair (which he didn't need to do) and then after everything the color wasn't even close to what I wanted. When it got to him cutting my hair, he was cutting it as he was coloring it???? AT THE END HE TOOK A BUZZER TO MY ENDS OF MY HAIR . see pictures he destroyed my hair. I told him to keep my length of my hair and he literally chopped it ALL OFF. (See pictures) I paid 150$ with my discount and they didn't charge me for the color?? But HOW WAS IT SO MUCH THEN?!? After I left and went to my house, I noticed everything about my hair how it was fucked up. Him stripping it, coloring it completely wrong, cutting it during the coloring process (random chunks?!?) and then taking a buzzer to my ends to get a "straight look" is what he said. Which it gave it the complete OPPOSITE look. I messaged the lady who was texting me before. Sent her pictures and told her they need to fix my hair because this is terrible. It looked boxed dyed. I got shorted, felt like an annoyance to them and didn't feel like they gave a shit. But they said they would reschedule it and have the specialist fix it. So I figured GREAT A SPECIALIST, but just wait for these picture you'll see here. He was awful awful awful as well. (Stay tuned for this) I came into the salon to see the specialist, needless to say they didn't talk to me after 20 minutes of waiting for them. I clearly wasn't a focus and they didn't care to really sit down and fix my hair. He even stated wel to fix this it'll tKe an hour and half you really want to sit here and wait that long?!? I go YES THATS WHY IM HERE. Like wtf? And then, he sits me down and I show him the pictures... showing what I got and what I asked for and he talks to me like I'm stupid like "well this isn't what you got" like I'm the one who did it?!?!? VERY RUDE While he's working on ohwe clients he gets me the hair samples book and tells me to figure out which color to pick, so I didn't Choose because I'm not the professional I showed you the colors I like, you need to figure out what colors to add to get me there... so I told him idk you need to help me with this?!! He starts on my hair and then proceeds to tell me that he understand what I wants and that we're going to fix it. Wel as he is adding the color to my hair I start questioning the coloring he is doing. And to find out he is doing the opposite then what I asked!!! So after he sat me down to sit and wait for the color to get into my hair he has to pull me back into the chair to add more color into my hair because he didn't do what I was asking. AGAIN. He was putting the light color as the base and the dark as the lowlights when it is CLEARLY opposite in the picture...... so the specialist can't pay attention to what the customer is looking for. Something so basic Look at these pictures to see how he ADDED the extra color to get what I wanted. To end this they didn't even fix my hair cut didn't get the hair I wanted. Will never go back. This is what a $94 haircut looks like at Salon Revive at Mission Bay plaza. And yes, cut only, no blow dry, no style. The stylist, Demetria, placed the blame on us when I said we weren't happy with the cut, saying she took 3" off at first and that's what we get for not getting it blow dried before leaving the salon. Did she ask if she took enough off or confirm the length was perfect? Nope. Most salons if you call right back and tell them you're not happy they are accommodating, especially when there's multiple repeat business. Since we weren't happy and wanted extra inches cut, we had to wait 4 days for a redo appointment, which was fine, except being told we should have said something earlier. Yes, that is why we called for the redo. Today, were told there would be a full haircut charge to cut 3" length from the back, so we asked for 2". At the end, we were charged anyway. I paid and said I'd be leaving this review and wouldn't be retuning. Demetria said thank you, have a nice day The feelings are quite mutual. I'm sure the salon is doing financially well enough to not miss a few clients and I'm sure there's many more salons here with open appointments. Was looking for a new salon because I haven't been happy with my color and highlights nor the fortune I was shellfor the less then spectacular results. I checked around and found that Salon Revive was getting tons of great reviews. I contacted Salon Revive through Yelp, asked some questions, and got an appointment with Bianca for the next day. Bianca listen to what I was interested in achieving and I told her what I didn't like about my current color. Together we came up with a solution for base color and lowlights and highlights to achieve the final look which would serve me better as far as my root growth. She then went to work. She did all my hair washing herself and I have to say, she really does that well. I told her it was so relaxing... like a head massage! I feel like going back for more right now! This is hands down my new favorite salon in the Boca area! I don't usually like buying Groupons because I feel like they take away from business profit, but this one included a cut, color gloss, clear gloss, conditioning treatment, and a blow dry, so I got the whole package deal. I'm so glad I did. Salon Revive does not treat it's Groupon customers any different than regulars customers, which is a bonus. I am sure they know that they will be returning customers. The salon is located in a busy plaza in West Boca in Mission Bay Plaza. There is plenty of parking in the front lot. The salon itself is a little hard to find as it is tucked in the corner and to the left of Rotella Pizza and Pasta. I looked up Yelp reviews and this salon has the best. I requested an appointment through Yelp and the owner, Mario, contacted me back right away to schedule an appointment at my preferred time which was 10am on a Saturday. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a very friendly woman at the front. Filled out a short form and was introduced to Stephanie, who would be taking care of me. Let me tell you, Stephanie is a gem! She is so sweet, down to earth and fun to talk to. She is knowledgeable, she was even able to assess that I twirled my hair often by how much shorter it was on one side, Impressive! I showed her a pic of what I wanted and she asked if I wanted to pick out the shade, I said I would leave that up to her, the true professional. During the treatment, she asked if I would like a beverage, she came back with the most amazing hand made cappuccino I've ever had! An amazing hair dresser and a barista in one! The color and treatments took about an hour and a half and then another 20 or so for the blow dry. So I didn't spend too much time there. What developed was the most beautiful rich shade of brown, EXACTLY what I was asking for. It's so shiny and pretty and bouncy. I've gotten many compliments already. Love it! I arrived at the salon 10 minutes before my appointment. The receptionist confirmed my Groupon which included a hair mask. I had a consultation with Joe, the stylist. Following the consultation. I waited 15 minutes to get a shampoo. The shampoo girl asked me if I would like conditioner, I said I have a Groupon that gives me a special mask. She said oh I didn't know that I'll have to check, finally she agreed yes I'm supposed to get a special mask. The mask was applied. It was supposed to stay on for five minutes. Since she was the only shampoo girl, she was shampooing another person and she came back 15 minutes later. Nonetheless, Joe sat in his styling chair doing absolutely nothing while he could've shampooed me. While I was waiting for my rinse I noticed a woman that had color on her hair. I thought she was a patron I came to see she's a hairstylist. She was coloring her hair that day, and then blow dried it sitting in her chair. Finally when I was shampooed and rinsed of the mask, I got into Joe's chair. He has a very unique way of cutting hair neither good nor bad, but it took over an hour for a simple shoulder length bob. Upon checkout, I asked the girl behind the desk for change of a 20, a 10 a 5 and 5 ones. She gave me a 10 and two 5's I asked her for five ones she handed me a 10. One of the best salon visits I've had in awhile. I bought a Groupon and typically the $150 "value" is really far-fetched...the "deep conditioning" treatments they say are $50 value are not much more than something I can do at home. Anyways, this is not the case here! I bought the deal for haircut, clear gloss, deep condition, and blowout. They took their time with the treatments and put you under a heater to set them for 5-10 mins, along with a free glass of wine or coffee/tea etc! I have been thinking of getting something like a keratin treatment but they stylist told me for my hair type (very thin but looks like I have a lot of hair due to texture) it would not work well and the gloss is a better alternative. I love how shiny and controlled it turned out! And it's a cheaper alternative to costly keratin. The cut and style was fantastic- I have long hair and never know what to tell stylists but Jessica knew just what to do, including finding my side part, and did a fantastic job getting the dead ends while keeping length and adding some style. On top of everything they got me in same day which was great! Could not be happier, plan a trip here and you will be pleased :) Also- some salons are very pushy on selling costly products - not the case here, I asked for opinion on new brush and my stylist recommended what is turning out to be my new favorite brush, and it was only $10. Ok. This is the second chance I give this salon and once Again I received a terrible service. I went with a Groupon for a haircut, blow dry, clear gloss and mask treatment. The front desk lady whispered something to my stylist in front of me. No idea what she was saying but it was not appropriate to do it at that moment with me close. Anyway, not big deal. They wash my hair and they did put the treatment and gloss at the same time while on the sink. Again, till then , everything good. THEN, my stylist decided to take another customer while I was on the sink with the treatment, so when my treatment was done, I had to wait on the stylist chair with my hair wet till she finished with this other customer. Anyway, don't want to be picky, I waited like 20 min which it was not the end of the world. I still had HOPE. I told stylist to do layers on my wavy hair and to skipped the blow dry since I don't do it at home because I wanted to see how the layers will look on my regular air dry hair. SO!, she cut like 1/64 inches of hair ( I told her 2 fingers) and she decided that long layers will look better, so she cut tiny, I mean, tiny amount of hair for the " layers " on a few strands of hair in the front. THEN , she air dry (using blow dryer without brush, that's fine I asked her to) but she did it squeezing my hair till it literally became a BIRD NEST!!. And she had the audacity to tell me Oh I like wild hair!. SEE ThE Pictures! The pic with happy face is my normal hair with no blow dry, just let it dry naturally. The others are the bird neSt! . The first time we went, my wife got the works and left feeling pampered and beautiful. On our second visit she again got a cut and color from stylist Jessica, and the owner Mario styled my hair. On this latest visit, we got the same. Jessica colored and cut her hair again, Rebecca shampooed and blew it out, and Rachel did a wonderful job with my shorter locks. It's located in a corner next to Padrino's Restaurant in the Mission Bay Plaza. My wife and I never noticed it until we found the salon's website. First off, this is not your ordinary salon. You walk into a nice, clean modern space that feels like a quiet sanctuary. It provides instant ease and relaxation as its void of the typical buzz and noise of so many other overcrowded places around town. Its soothing ambiance is matched by caring staff who make sure you feel comfortable. My wife was having a bad headache type of day, so I searched for a local salon online in hopes an establishment would be open during the evening. Lo and behold, as of this writing Revive is open late on Thursdays and accommodated my wife with a full hair job that included wash, cut, gloss, color, deep conditioning and blow-dry at a very reasonable cost. They also gave her a glass of wine and made sure she was comfortable the whole time. They have Wi-Fi, making my wait time on a comfortable plush leather couch all the more relaxing. My wife and I observed that everyone there walked out with stunning hair, and I mean stunning! There wasn't a strand out of place, and everyone was beaming and happy when leaving. My wife wasn't the only one gushing after her first try at Revive. Another woman was positively radiant when she left. From what I observed, she went from looking preoccupied and sullen to enthusiastic and glowing. I have never seen so many satisfied patrons at a salon before and my wife was one of them. Her stylist Jessica was wonderful. Friendly and helpful, she did an outstanding job analyzing what kind of cut would best flatter my wife. She didn't do anything drastic, but provided expert layering that provided lift of hair and spirit. My wife wanted her hair cut and color to look sun-kissed natural, and Jessica delivered. She touched up my wife's roots and glossed, making it look as though my wife had shiny highlights when the process was over. I don't know how Jessica did it, but my wife's hair color looked gorgeously natural. Mario, one of the owners, is a nice guy who was very receptive to feedback. He had a quiet, friendly demeanor that was warm and professional. He was obviously enthusiastic about his establishment. All in all, the staff was top-notch and the results were 5 star quality! Oh boy where do I start I wish I read some of the reviews on here before I decided to go there in early February I walked in and spoke to one of the hairdressers there to get a quote to get my hair highlighted she quotes me $220 showed me pictures of her work and we go over what she believers need to be done to get the look I want. I thought and I emphasize thought I had found my new hairdresser a few weeks go by and make an appointment early in the morning because I have to pick up my kids at 2 PM my appointment is the first appointment of the day and she is 20 minutes late. She rushed me sits me down and starts with ok what are we doing I bring back the conversation we had a few weeks ago she pull her phone out shows me pictures again I'm like yes let's do it. But she said it not $220 it going to be $300 it's a lot of work you know. I'm still convinced she's pretty good so I said let's go so she starts I sit in her chair for about four hours she starts with the highlights Than the color than under the dryer then wash then a toner and now we see her work and what do I see "omg you have got to be kidding me" instead of feeling young and beautiful I look in the mirror and I see an old lady I wanted to die my highlights were not golden blonde but ashy gray then she thought it was best to darken the base of my hair to not a dark brown but jet black I don't know how she thought what I wanted was jet black gray highlights I'm extremely upset pay and walk 10 minutes later I call to talk to what I believe is either the owner of the manager she tells me don't worry come in we will fix it go in she says oh the toner stay on too long we can fix it she put in a toner 1520 minutes later and sit out it did look a little bit better but not at all what I want I called back again to say that I am extremely unhappy that is old lady inside of me is coming out and yes I'm grumpy and upset and mad and angry she says OK come by tomorrow at one and we will discuss how we can fix this " FIX THIS" I get there the manager's not there the same lady that did my hair walks out 10 minutes late of course she says in a chair and says I don't know what you want me to do I say I just I'm just not happy this is too dark this is not blonde this is gray I don't like it I look like an old lady she starts yelling at me telling me that she's going to educate me on hair color I am neither your daughter or your friend your coworker or your acquaintance for you to talk to me that way you should never talk to anyone that way but I'm not gonna sit around to let her yell at me in a public place I get up and walk out I called back and the manager had just walked in I tell her what happened and I tell her how upset I am she says well I don't know why you thought you would come here and we would do it for free of course we're going to charge you of course we are going to charge you she said for your mistake I don't know if the Hair Dresser has good days and bad days and unfortunately I was there in every single bad day I do not recommend going here maybe other hairdressers there are good but the customer service definitely is not good Did I find a solution for this yes I did go to a different salon read more

Salon Revive is a gorgeous salon located in a popular and eventful plaza in Boca. I decided to buy a Groupon the next time I get my hair done because of horror stories from multiple salons I've visited that cost me nearly $1000 for a simple light balayage look but none of them turned out the way it should've, so I promised myself to get a Groupon first to find the right salon, which I certainly did. Upon calling to book my appointment for my Groupon, I encountered a delightful and kind lady by the name of Leslie. I looked at almost all the reviews and came to the conclusion to request for Stephanie. Leslie informed me of the times she has available and happily booked me in the most hospitable manner ever. I arrived at the salon at 10 am for my appointment and they were just getting everything set up, everyone was super kind. I met Stephanie and she was very patient, knowledgable, and caring. I decided to upgrade to a balayage ($130 more) instead of just going to a light black single process color, because I trusted that she could get the job done. She made me a delicious cappuccino while I waiting for her to mix the products together. I was there for a little over 4 hours including the consultation which was a little lengthy considering my history with hair salons that I wanted her to be aware of. She took her time and was very detailed. She applied the balayage highlights, then washed me off and applied toner, then finished with a beautiful cut and blow dry. I was so shocked that she was able to bring my hair to a light caramel color from a light black color with absolutely no damage! The last salons I've been too which I spent so much on, left me with spaghetti damaged stringy hair. With Stephanie, I was left with silky smooth hair that feels untouched of chemicals, well worth the wait at the salon. I decided to bring my 1 year old daughter to Stephanie the next day for her first haircut, she was able to receive the cutest First Haircut Certificate ever and a bunch of lollipops to keep her busy! FYI, there is also the cutest toy store for children next door which was a big plus for us as well as yummy places to grab lunch/dinner. I also scheduled to come back in exactly 4 weeks to continue my balayage/color process since I want to be patient with the process of it becoming lighter gradually. Everything from the hospitality and customer service to the atmosphere was beyond expectation, and I'm looking forward to my next appointment with Stephanie! (Actually, I think all of the staff here has what it takes to do great cuts and color :)) Jessica has been so great -consistently - that even when things get funky with my hair color she is quick to listen, look and correct it. She also is confident enough to ask the owner how to approach a tricky hair color issue (thanks Mario!)-a true sign of a professional. At a time I used to really like this place but not I can't bare to even go in! There is so much drama and bad talking every time I go and it's really affecting their work. Also there is attitude from everyone who works there! I went in for a color and they messed up my roots which they weren't even coloring near so I don't know how it possible happened but it did. My roots were light brown while the rest of my hair was dark brown!!! After the 3rd time trying to fix it, I stopped going there and refuse to go back! This was my 4th visit here. I have been sporadically coming to this salon over the past 10 years. I originally went when they opened and got a mailer coupon with a great deal. I liked my cut and wouldn't hesitate to come back and I did. I got a color the second time and it came out the right shade and I was happy with it. After that Ive purchased the Groupon twice, which is an excellent deal! After today's cut and experience I must say Salon Revive has never let me down! I always leave happy no matter who the stylist is. I think that says a lot about a place. They offer you a drink right when you come in and make you feel welcome. This time my stylist was Stephanie(I think, I'm not great with names). She was definitely amazing though! She paid close attention to what I wanted and made sure I was happy with my results. My hair was rough and damaged after getting highlights done (elsewhere) and she made sure the conditioning mask was applied properly and sat for enough time. My cut came out exactly as I wanted and she did not hesitate to stay in constant communication with me through out to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. Very pleased with salon revive. I recently in June 2021 went to Salon Revive in west Boca Raton with a Groupon and paid for a wash, conditioning treatment, haircut and style with Michael. I don't normally give bad reviews but this time I am so upset over how my hair was chopped off by Michael that I will NEVER go back! He seemed a little upset that I was a Groupon customer and actually told me I was going to be put with a different stylist as though he was too good for a Groupon customer. I was specifically scheduled with him! I did not ask for him when I called to make an appt. but I read good things about him so I felt I was in good hands! Now I am so sorry I didn't listen to him and have another stylist do my hair! Even though he was friendly and very talkative I did not go there to socialize. Its my bday this week and I only wanted a trim. I showed Michael pictures of how I wanted it cut and styled. This is a FIRST time ever that I walked out of ANY salon crying. I even tried to stop him from butchering my hair but it was too late! He had my chair turned away from the mirror as he was talking to the customers. So I could not see in the beginning how many inches he cut off! When he turned my chair around I told him it was WAY too short! I was NOT happy. I look like a guy. I wanted a trim. One inch max! Not four inches off!! Omg. I don't even want to go out now for my birthday. I am very self conscious. I will NEVER GO BACK THERE. EVER! And if you read other reviews it seems to be this salon does NOT LISTEN to their customers requests. Plus they do NOT WEAR MASKS! I don't care if they got vaccinated. I could not get vaccinated yet so I am very vulnerable to getting Covid. I WORE A MASK and he should have also been wearing one. It's about your customers. Not for your own comfort. If you read the responses from the reviews sent on social media from the owner/manager they don't even read your review and respond appropriately to what you have to say. If you post a bad review and say you were unhappy with your cut the owners answer is "thanks you for your review and we look forward to seeing you again"! I guess that tells you something about how well they listen and care about their customers. I will NEVER GO BACK! Do not waste your money OR your time! This is the absolute worst salon I have been to I paid over 1,300 dollars for hair extensions which I planned on spending the problem is when I got them installed I told Jessica the girl who did my hair I did not want color because I have a hair colorist already and just wanted the hair extensions installed because my colorist does not do extensions. Well Jessica tells me she was just putting a glaze type of gloss in my hair that it came with the extensions service to make my natural hair more shinny and healthy LIE it was bleach she threw on my hair! My hair turned white and looked horrible nothing I wanted done! After 3 days I washed it as I was told to wait because of the glue with the extensions I waited the 3 days I washed my hair and had a greenish tint in it and my extensions shredded tons of hair!!! There is so much more that happened with my experience from Jessica at salon revive I am so upset even writing this post of what I went through I left many messages for the owner to call me and received one call from Jessica I don't want to talk to her at the point I want to speak to the owner and after 1,300 + in money I spent I can't even get a return phone call?! I had to spend another 300.00 dollars with my hair colorist to get my hair color corrected on top of all of this I come to find out that the hair is NOT human hair extensions I paid for wow just wow! UPDATE: left a message on there Facebook page 7/22/17 and they deleted the comments posts and pictures and changed there settings on Facebook so I can't write on there wall. I arrived early for my haircut color and blow dry and within moments was treated by the receptionist! I cannot even begin to describe the happiness I have from a brand new look haircut by Jessica! Wow! She took her time cutting my hair, blew it dry and continued finishing the cut with precision and finesse! This shop is awesome and I would definitely suggest it to my friends and family! Been going here for years. Both Mario and Joseph are amazing. Joseph cut my hair for the first time last visit because Mario was out. I'm very particular with my hair so I was nervous trying someone new. However, I'm so happy I did!! Joseph used some layering techniques that I hadn't seen before and it turned out amazing!!!
