Don't give me Jim Carrey's haircut from Dumb and Dumber. When my wife and I first moved to Lexington I tried all the different salons in Lexington Center. All the women that worked at these salons seemed to have more issues than Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes combined. At one salon I had one muchacha that was cutting my hair talking to her pal about getting trashed the night before, having unprotected sex with some meat head from Quincy, and feeling "wicked" hungovuh. It wasn't reassuring that her hands were trembling like Muhammad Ali when she was using the shears near my pointy Vulcan-like ears. No explicit raunchiness and never any hint of pretense at this place...Muy bueno. Everyone here - besides me of course -seems to be pretty hip and stylish, but definitely not snooty.

My hair is very curly and very dry. It needs lots of moisture and conditioner. I'm not sure what Lauren chose, but it was the most ideal shampoo and conditioner for my hair. She's very patient, she does not mind if you tell her what works best for you, she's very serious about her work, but has a nice sense of humor. I really loved the blowout she did. My hair came out perfectly and I am incredibly particular about my hair. She understood everything I wanted and gave it to me. I will say, for the uninitiated like me, I am not from Massachusetts so I'm not familiar with paying for parking, it is metered and you can do it on your phone. Also, they don't allow tips on credit cards which I did not know. I had no cash and my bank doesn't exist in Massachusetts. Thank goodness I did have a little bit of cash. They do have Venmo, which I also don't have, but don't accept cash app. Just so you know! Excellent service, excellent salon, I bookmarked this salon in case I'm ever in the area again!

I have since lived in Santa Fe, and the Boston area, and have only gone to very expensive salons to meet the standards of what I had in California. I have not found it until now. Since the pandemic I have been doing my own highlights, and 2 days before being in a wedding I messed my hair up royally with bleach. I called them with one day to spare with blotches all over my head, and they squeezed me in with Sarah without time for a consultation to help me fix it before the wedding. There wasn't even an appointment open, but they stepped up to help and made time for me. Without an official appointment, this was supposed to be a "quick fix", but It's probably the best highlights job I've ever had. Sarah is an absolute magician. She is incredible! Trust me, if you could see the before pictures, you would be amazed. It was bad. Like really bad. Thank you Sarah! The additional point I want to make about this place is the glowing and wonderful energy of the salon. It's so vibrant, and everyone is so nice.
