She's also genuinely kind and easy to talk to, which made the entire experience so enjoyable. She took the time to listen, never made me feel rushed, and truly wanted me to leave loving my hair. This means that Laura can run this salon as she wants -- which is great, as she's highly professional. I think Laura takes it as a personal insult if I don't accept her hospitality of a drink or a biscotti. :) As for the cut itself, she's talented and a perfectionist. I'm mostly a creature of habit, but I've experimented with a couple variations that Laura always remembers how to recreate. I'm not the most fashionable gent, but I grew tired of hair stylists trying to give me some spiky 'do like I was in my 20s and off clubbing or a bland part like I was in my 50s and off to the country club. Laura gives me a cut that feels appropriate to my age and personality. I travel and speak publicly a decent amount and it's great to have the confidence inspired by a great haircut. My only regrets are that I keep having to fight off the gel that Laura always wants to put in, and that I'm not fluent in Italian yet!

Krysten is the go to person for color correction AND does phenomenal Keratin treatments that won't break the bank. When I first moved to Burlington eight years ago, I went to one salon for Keratin, another salon for color and another for cuts. That's how picky I am. I did that for about two years until I found Krysten who does everything. She recently opened her own salon, Salon 47. The salon is small but clean clean and beautifully decorated. It is in the Salons by JC building which is in the Nordstrom Rack, Market Basket plaza. First time I went, I was thrown off by the Lexington address. You would think it is in Burlington but it is located right on the line. If you take my advice, plan on leaving the salon looking glamorous. Fabulous blow outs too!
