The installation is seamless/invisible; PERFECT. Rachel is a BEAST!
FabuLisa L.

Rachel is INCREDIBLY talented! She is sweet, kind and will do her best to achieve the style of your dreams. I never had a weave before and this is a partial with two bundles. It looks EXACTLY like my natural hair. The installation is seamless/invisible; PERFECT. My friend curled my hair and couldn't see where my weave started. I purchased the 18" and 20" Celebuton hair. It's TOTALLY WORTH IT! I made a last minute appointment and also got my hair colored. It's sooo pretty!

This closure did not blend with my hair at all!! Worst install ever! I guess you have to be a regulate to get good service here!

If I could post a review with no stars I would!! This was the worst salon experience I've had! Crystal was my stylist. Never Again! I wanted a full sew-in bc I'm natural and I workout. So with 2 bundles of hair and the price of the install my total should've been only $400+ which is what I'm used to. Well when Crystal finally showed up, she looked at me like I was foreign regarding the full sewin. She said it looked 'wiggy' and a closure would be better. She also thought it was a good idea to leave my edges out when I said I didn't want any out! So after the closure, closure install, 2 bundles of hair, and the general install I paid a total of $800. Yes I got got ladies!! Did I mention she moved me out the chair to fit her regulars in even though I had an appt so I was there from 9am to 2pm!! One month later and I'm taking this $800 disaster down bc again my natural edges aren't blending with the hair. The closure looks terrible and 'wiggy'!! And the install she gave me was so amateur. Please see the picture!!! Run the other way!!

I went to this salon on Saturday, May 19th because I needed my ends clipped and couldn't get to my…read moreregular stylist. I had called the day before, but really didn't have an appointment. I was able to walk in at 7:30am in the morning (and was done by 10am!). I did not have to wait at all. I brought my own products b/c I'm a little picky on what goes on my hair and I'm natural. That was not a problem. The young lady who shampooed my hair also set it; however, the owner, Julia, did the final styling and cutting. She was very friendly. She did a good job clipping my ends in layers while maintaining decent length. She used high heat on the blow dryer, but when I asked her to turn it down, she did so. Overall, I was pleased with the results. It was convenient and my hair looked very nice when I left. Also, the prices are reasonable. I will probably go back in 6 months when I need my ends trimmed again.

I have been going to Julia's for several years. I've previously seen reviews raising concerns about…read morepossible chemicals being used in their shampoo and "deep conditioner," but until now, that had never been my experience. Because of those reviews, I am always extremely cautious--I normally bring my own products and explicitly request that nothing else be used on my hair. This time, I made the mistake of forgetting my products and had to rely on theirs. Immediately after the so-called "deep conditioner" was applied, my scalp began burning. I asked what was used and was told it was only deep conditioner and that no chemicals were involved. That explanation makes absolutely no sense. I have not had a perm in nearly 15 years, yet the burning sensation was identical to a perm burn. I washed my hair today, and if there was any doubt before, it is now gone. Whatever was used altered my hair's natural texture. My hair is naturally curly--after washing it, my curls are gone and my hair is now noticeably straight. In Photo #2, the left side is from today's wash. The right side is from my last at-home wash. The difference is undeniable. There are no curls on the left. Photo #3 is my usual hair texture. I can't help but question whether this was done to make my hair more "manageable," especially since my longtime stylist, Veronica--who was meticulous and respectful of natural hair--suddenly left the salon. The current level of care and consideration is clearly not the same. I've seen previous responses from Julia disputing similar claims. I am not interested in a response. Nothing anyone says will reverse the damage that has been done to my hair. I am beyond frustrated and deeply disappointed. I will never return, and I plan to report this to the BBB and pursue any other recourse available. While nothing will restore my hair to its natural state, I hope this review prevents someone else from making the same mistake I did and continuing to support this business.

Marty is a miracle worker for curly girls. I was a bit hesitant to spend so much for the devacut,…read morebut after going from salon to salon asking for a cut that complimented my 2b curls, I was willing to pay what was necessary to get a style that was easy work with. I found this salon on Google as specializing in curly cuts. What I got from this haircut was sooo much more than just a great cut. I got a killer education on how to best style my type of curls. He provided some amazing tips that I have incorporated into my routine. He did not try to sell me products but he did tell me what he was using. I will 100% be back.

An absolutely wonderful salon, especially for curly girls!…read more Atmosphere: If you are looking for a super swanky salon, this isn't it. It has a very comfortable and homey atmosphere, and the staff clearly got along well, laughing and joking with each other as well as with the clients. I felt very at ease and not at all intimidated to tell my stylist what I was looking for in terms of my cut. Haircut: I had my haircut by Marty, who is the owner of the salon. If you have curly hair, you know how much of a struggle it can be to find someone who really understands how your hair works. I have had my fair share of nightmare cuts where the stylist has cut it wet and it curled up to WAY shorter than anticipated. None of that here! No pulling of the curl, no brushing, no making it frizz out! Also they didn't automatically assume I wanted it blown out straight after they cut it, which I appreciated. My cut turned out wonderfully, whether I wore it curly (my go-to for the week) or straightened it. I had the DevaCut, which was a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for and the cut was high quality and definitely worth it in my opinion. Final word: Highly recommended!
