The only thing that could spoil a day was people and if you could keep from making engagements, each day had no limits. People were always the limiters of happiness except for the very few that were as good as spring itself." ― Ernest Hemingway, A Moveable Feast

So upset. I went on my lunch break. I didn't think it would take over 1.5 hours just for my nails…read more I didn't want to have nails added because I type so they suggested Dip. I was excited. The lady begin to work on my nails and she was using the brush. I asked ma'am I wanted the dip nails and she said it was the same thing... the price cost the same as the powder fill in so I just let her finish. WRONG. My nails came out horrible and she took so long I didn't even have time to have her fix them. Brand new set that looks awful. They're not filed down smoothly, some are crooked, some go past the cuticle others far away from it. Some have the color buffed right off on the edges. Some have the color going under the tip of my nail in a huge blob that they couldn't really drill off. She said to come back so she can fix them. I'll be back Monday or Tuesday. That really sucks though because I have to go the whole weekend with some horribly, ugly looking nails. I was so excited because the nail tech Cindy showed me all the pictures of the nails she had done and then I was let down. I kept saying I had to go back to work and she was moving sooooooo slow. If only the final product reflected her speed of service. I would have been more grateful if my nails looked as amazing as I thought they would for the time it took and for as slow as she was going. Will update this review after she fixes my nails. Until then 1 star for their customer service. They were at least nice UPDATE: I wound up going back the following Tuesday for the lady to fix my nails. She had to redo them all. I was like yes finally and was waiting to update my review. Staying at one star. While she fixed them the exact same thing happened less than a week later. The powder started to chip again exposing my nails. I have NEVER had this happen in the 15 plus years I've been getting my nails done. I will not be back...I don't have a hard job and I'm not rough on my nails.

If your looking for the prices for services ots in the back of the shop. I noticed the offer other services such as waxing, lashes, and I think massages. The woman who worked on me was Nancy. She asked my name and was very sociable. Thats something that is a plus in my book lol. When I met Nancy I showef her my finger nails and told her my need to match my toes. The only reason the didn't get more stars in because I noticed gnats(look like little mosquitos) and the bathroom looked dirty. If I see any insect or bug I feel like something isn't clean. This was the second time coming here so I gave then the benefit of the doubt. Hey you decide if this spot is for you. A classic pedicure was $20, french tip, polish removal, and acrylic toe repair for around $30. Overall reasonable prices, close at 8pm 9m certain days, and its not an excessive wait. Good luck Yelpers!

My massage therapist name was Skyler she was very peaceful and had made drifting off I think I fell asleep but I'm not sure was just very relaxed At the end she said take my time getting up which was much needed so I laid there about five minutes before I could.

I felt so angry after leaving, that I did not think it was appropriate to write my review at that time. I'm ready. I came to Beauty Spa 54 to get my hair touched up and a trim. At the time my hair was down to my tailbone, and very thick. I had about 3 inches or more of growth and was looking for it to match the rest of my hair which had been highlighted. I asked for subtle highlights. When I arrived, I found it a bit odd and off-putting that I was the only person besides the owner in the entire place. But I had a great deal through the Yelp voucher and the reviews were all amazing, so I ignored that little voice. That little voice popped up throughout my experience. It told me to leave. I was there for hours. Lisa did eventually admit the person who does color was out that day, and I feel like that's the moment I should have left, but I stayed. By the time I got up the courage to leave, my little trim was more like a 4 inch cut that had chunks of hair missing and the color made me look like a toddler tried it at home. I ended up having to go to a different salon and they had no choice but to take my once beautiful tailbone length hair up to just past my shoulders. I cried in her chair. My hair looked so incredibly bad. When I went home I immediately emailed Yelp and showed them my pictures. I didn't pay her. I am glad I didn't pay her because I cried for days and it still hurts to look at what it once was.

I wanted this place to be so good because of all the reviews and how many stars they received…read more Unfortunately my visit left me kind of annoyed. I came around 2-3 to get an oil treatment because my usual place wasn't open. I called before hand to make sure they do oil treatments because not all hair places do this. I asked her how much it was before arriving because some places like to charge A LOT. Her price was depending on my hair length but oil treatments for hair doesn't depend on length...I wasn't getting anything more. First thought was that it's very hidden, if you miss the entry into the shopping center you have to UTURN out and back in. Once I walked inside it was nice and I was the only person there, so no wait time needed. She started washing my hair and working on it. Same process I'm used to. The oil she used has a very strong smell that I'm not used to. (Starts with an "m") the smell was so over powering it gave me a headache for a week. She kept bragging about how good it smelled, but to me it smelled weird. Once I finished the treatment, she washed my hair and started to brush it. I literally had to carry my own wet hair to her chair with a small towel and my hair is not short... so I got pretty wet. After that she asked if I wanted my hair blow dried. I would think that it was a given because why would I want to leave with wet hair.... Once she was finished, I went up to pay for my oil treatment and she gave me the price then told me that she wasn't going to charge me for the blow dry. I'm shook. At this point was when I got annoyed. Who charges for blow drying hair? Especially for oil treatments where I'm bound to get my hair wet. I tipped her well because I have long hair and I want to support my people working in this field. But I don't think I'll be coming back.
