Cly is amazing! I'm the type of person who isn't afraid to try anything when it comes to my hair. I've gone from dark to blond and from blond to dark. I had an appointment with Tanis yesterday to have my hidden crown hair extension fitted and styled. I've had the darn thing for 9 months but felt awkward putting it on, and challenged as to how to style it. Tanis was wonderful! She explained as she went about how it's supposed to fit on your scalp, adjusted the wire for me and gave me step by step instructions on how to style and care for the hair. 5 stars for Tanis! I had been growing out my hair for a year and when I decided to chop it off I had no idea what to do with it. It had been a long time since I had any sort of hair style and this was my first time walking into an actual salon so I was nervous/skeptical to say the least. I talked with Tanis for a bit before she cut my hair and she was extremely receptive and helpful in figuring out what to do. Ultimately I gave her free reign with my luscious locks and she did not let me down. Not only did she give me an amazing cut and new style, but she is also extremely friendly and fun to talk to. It's with a heavy heart that I write this review as I really liked my stylist as a person. It was my first time getting a haircut at this salon and I was placed with Agnes. Even after I told her that I wanted a straight cut in the back with it tapered toward my face in the front, she proceeded to do a circle cut and gave me ridiculous layers, which leave a terrible tail type thing at the bottom in the back. I really wanted to keep length but she insisted that I needed to cut off 4 inches because the ends were damaged. I have naturally curly hair so my hair does get damaged easily with styling but I wasn't ready for a drastic change like that. I even told her I wanted to cut off less, she said okay, but did what she wanted to do anyways. I feel like she was unwilling to listen and asked me questions to which the answers had already been provided. I don't know if this was a language barrier issue, or if it's another artist improperly using my head as their canvas, but this was a waste of $75. read more

Her reviews and photos tell it like it is - she is awesome. She really took time to listen about my hair concerns and got it right the first time! Update for Cly as well as Agnes! I've seen Cly a few times since my last review and still love her work, I made an appointment recently when she wasn't available and had Agnes instead. I loved that she took initiative and told me what she think would look best for my cut as I'm not always sure what I'd like, and she did short layers and a rounded bottom cut rather than straight across, and I loved it. Jesslyn is excellent at listening to what I want and discussing options. I used to bring in pictures of cuts I like but by now she's got such a good handle on my style that can pretty much just give her a target length. Jesslyn doesn't try to sell me a bunch of product I don't want or convince me to dye my hair.
