Hmmm . . . Not a good experience @salondennirose . . . I walked in 5-weeks ago and got lucky to have an appointment the same day with Lisa. I come to Danville often from Sacramento and I had a good experience with Lisa who "fixed" the back of my hair for me (albeit I had to trim the left side that was left too long from my dry cut when I got back home) and during the time I first walked in, scheduling another appointment for me to come back June 26th. Sooo . . . I showed up at 10:55 am June 26th, waiting on Lisa in my smock, who came in a bit past 11:00 am and who said hello to me and veered off in another direction. She came back to me to say that she did not have an appointment for me and asked did I had it wrong. I said no, and she said, again, that she had me down for another day, that she doesn't have her "other phone" and wasn't able to carry her appointments over. I showed Lisa her and my texts, proving that she confirmed our 11:00 am June 26th appointment. She said that she has a client there now and that was that. I reminded her I drove in from Sacramento. Nothing. She had zero words. Then I approached the stylist who first got me to Lisa and he said that I could go around and ask everyone individually if they can get me in. That's when I realized the kind of salon it is and I left. They simply did not care. Lisa certainly did not care and it was sad to see that no one else in this very busy salon had LIsa's back. read more

I followed her for a few months and then finally got the courage to trust someone new with my hair... It was the best decision I have made in a long time! I went to Melissa with super thin, dry, raggy blonde hair... I showed her a picture of long hair and said, I want this! Over the course of a few appointments, Melissa gave me long gorgeous hair! She is PHENOMENAL at extensions! I had shorter than shoulder length hair, and now my hair was to my chest. You would never know they are extensions. She blended my natural hair with the extensions perfectly. The color was amazing! Melissa has such a fun personality. She is so easy to talk to! Super real and honest about your hair and it's needs. I can't express how happy Melissa makes me! I love chatting with her during my appointment- we have chatted about anything from clothes and fitness to getting out of debt! I followed my stylist of 15 years, Christy Taves, to the salon. She cut my hair at age 5 and has continued to cut and color it as I went through my teens and into my twenties. I have always left Christy's chair feeling great about my cut and color. Sheila's talents are endless! Not only is she an artist when it comes to styling and cutting my hair, she has an amazing eye for color. Jane Norman's skin treatments. AMAZING. Jane's great. She provides a wonderful soothing, healing experience. For what I need most: Jane's got the lights and the boots. The lights/light/lamp she calls Lumi has done something for me that hadn't happened in my entire adult life: NO WINTER DEPRESSION for the first time in over 30 years (this happened a few winters ago). I speak from experience, nothing clinical here, not making claims; Jane doesn't make any such claims about the light either -- she only says it's good for the skin, and I'm sure it is. She can tell you more about that, and I recommend you ask her. What I will tell you is that it treats SAD (Seasonal Affected Disorder) extremely effectively. I LOVE the light. Going to see Jane means I can have another winter without wanting to crawl into a cave and wait until the days get longer (or move to the tropics...) Oh yeah, the boots. The lymphatic boots! They pump and squeeze your tired or heavy or stagnant legs and get everything flowing and moving. I believe they've helped me lose some girth, and maybe some weight. The boots and the lights are a treat. I recommend them. And that's not even talking about her skin treatments. Others can tell you about that. She's very good, knows her stuff, and treats you like you're the only person on earth. :-) read more

I have always been a fan of Denica and her sister, Jenna. I recommended Denica to two of my friends. They both came back raving about Denica. One of my friends asked for a new look. Denica and Jenna consulted with each other as to the best look and after going through piles of hair magazines came up with a masterpiece. My friend said that she has never had so many compliments on her hair. Her husband may not have received the same number of compliments but he has also joined the Denica Fan Club. When we arrived everything was so cute and the ladies were very welcoming. They did everyones hair efficiently and creatively. Every girl had a different style updo which flattered them very well. I have been a client of Denica's since the late 90s and I can't believe it's taken me this long to yelp her. I was a fashion model and had my hair done by so many fantastic stylists all around the world but once I found Denica I have always come back to her for my color and cuts because she is absolutely the best. She's super consistent, which for me was absolutely key because I couldn't show up for a job looking different from my portfolio. So many stylists take creative liberties and while I know that Denica is extremely creative and is a genius with color and can do lots of adventurous and fun things with it, with me she was always able to give me the same warm, beautiful color. In the past, even the best stylists would take it a little darker one time and then 8 or 10 weeks later, my hair would end up several shades blonder. So, I'm hooked and for as long as Denica is wielding her magic color want, I will go back to her... even though I live nowhere near Danville:-) read more
