I'm writing this review out of pure disappointment. I was referred by a friend to Andrea as I wanted hair extensions. I was super excited to finally get extensions as a graduation gift from graduating from UCLA. Unfortunately, Andrea was unable to accommodate my schedule, so I took a chance and saw Britney. Britney was kind and did find at my first appointment-a trim and an all over color tone. I wanted to get my extensions done by Andrea, but again our schedules did not align so I decided to go to Britney. I admitted to Britney she was not my first choice of stylist, but she swore she knew how to do extensions, so I trusted her. My first appointment was at 7 PM and they took about 2.5 hours. I barely glanced at my hair as I left the salon, but being that Britney was a sweet person, I thanked her and tipped nicely. The next day at work, in better lighting, a coworker told me that the color of my natural hair did not match the extensions. Upon looking in better lighting, my natural hair was black and the extensions brown. I messaged Britney and she agreed to tone the extensions. I also told her that the cut of the extensions and my hair was not blended properly. As I got to the salon, she sat me down and immediately started cutting for shape. If the stylist did not see an error in her work, I would like to think that she would have taken more time to analyze the hair and understand how I found a flaw in my cut. She also moved my tape extensions and re-taped them as they were slipping ONE WEEK after installation. My hair looked terrible after. It was dyed a matte black and the tapes were coming apart at the corners. I couldn't put my hair up without the tape showing. Very very EMBARRASSINGLY, I was pulled aside by my manager at work as she said my hair looked "unkept" and "unprofessional". I reached out to Britney and she was very unaccommodating. She argued back and forth and took the comments very personally. I was respectful in my texts, but with a 1200 dollar investment, I could not have such terrible looking hair. Britney agreed to take the extensions out my hair, but insisted she could not handle the refund aspect of things. I was more than willing to pay for the hair extensions as those were ordered specifically for me. However, I believed I should receive a refund for the installation as it was done poorly. After consulting other hair stylists, they agreed refund for the installation was fair and typical for stylist policy. I went to another stylist to see if my hair could be fixed. She told me she could reuse the hair, but agreed the installation was such awful quality that I would have to pay for a total reinstall. Fast forward two weeks, Andrea replied to my messages saying she did not want to issue refund as the installation was done properly. Anyone can look at the these photos and see how terrible my hair looked. I'm frustrated and sad . This was supposed to be an investment and something to brighten up my graduation celebration. Now I am out $1200, my hair is worse than it started and I will need to spend even more money to get it fixed. I gave two stars bc the haircut I received at first was decent. I do not recommend this salon as the quality is low and the stylists all seem to have a chip on their shoulder. read more

I found Andrea Nervis on instagram, through Nikki Blades instagram, and I send her a DM in December of 2021, I wanted her advice on growing my hair, because I've had it short for quite a while, we started on treatments, with shampoo, hair cut every 8 weeks, til I asked her about extensions, and she told me it would work on me, and help with the hair growth. I got the extensions and they look amazing, makes me feel so different, and she's always cool and supper accommodating with whatever I ask, even if I feel like I'm asking something stupid! If you currently have a hair issue, such as breakage, or need a color correction she can help and guide you through the process. I have gone there a color correction from blonde to natural gray. I have been a client for the past 8 years with absolutely no complaints! My hair is the healthiest it has ever been! My hair has grown 7 inches in the last two years with regular trims! The salon staff is extremely welcoming. The clientele is very diverse for this area! The salon is welcoming and clean! Drea now accepts all payment types including After Pay! Oh my goodness this is the best place to get your hair done ‍ when you make an appointment, that is your time . You never have to wait. Love it! Time is precious. Don't be late Andrea will make sure you get what you want. She makes sure you feel so pretty! She has been taking care of my hair for years. If I could give this woman a zero star, I would. I rarely ever write bad reviews and out of the 300 I have written, I think I only have 7 or 8 one star reviews. This my friends, needs to be placed below the 7 or 8 worst and in the bottom of the barrel category. I'm so disappointed in Andrea Nervis. I really had hoped to get my hair fixed when coming to see her. Even with the exorbitant price (over $1000). I paid because I thought you pay for quality. I went in with extensions that were 9 months old and she did remove and place tape in extensions. These were supposedly the Hot Heads brand. And to be honest they very well could have been but by month one they started looking terrible and month 2, worse than my 9 month old extensions as far as the frizz and mattiness. I was so careful on how I maintained my extensions as I love having beautiful hair. Because I paid so much, I approached her and let her know it might have been a bad batch. I asked for half my money back which is nearly 500 and she refused to respond. I hoped she would have been more willing to be reasonable but instead she ignored me. I wouldn't see her if you want quality extensions or customer service. Now I'm left with worse hair than I started with in the first place. I have asked for the receipt to ensure that the hair is hot heads brand, she said she will send in. Fingers crossed if I get it. (Update - it's been two weeks since asking for the receipt and she is still not sending. I could not get ahold of her and she refused to respond to the nice non-threatening request. I really wanted to get the receipt to check on the validity of the hair, but nothing still. All I wanted was to resolve this nicely but it appears that she cannot handle criticism or any concern of the hair. It may have not even been her fault but she chooses to ignore nice requests and provide a receipt as any hair stylist can do. I never thought it was a crime to ask for a receipt. I don't want to bother her I just wanted to discuss business, but she won't. It's unfortunate we couldn't just resolve a issue as adults do in business. ) Please see the picture attached with the frizziness after only two months! She concluded that I should have read her contract without even trying to remedy the situation. He bed side manner is poor and crass. She may be great at what she does, but with me I feel that she cut a corner and I over paid for crap hair. Then she had the audacity to conclude that I was borderline harassing her for stating my opinions. I'm sorry, but when you pay over $1000 for something that is supposed to look fabulous for 6-8 months but by month 2 they don't it leaves one wondering. I'm disheartening that this women is okay with her hair looking as it does below as I took great care of it. Be careful and do your homework. I really hoped this woman would have been kind enough to at least reimburse me for a portion, even it wasn't half. I would have been grateful for something as I'm currently unemployed with two young children. But nope she was entitled and I needed to reread her contract! That was it. And now at this point I feel that this woman is more money hungry than anything as seriously I had three other hair stylists tell me she up charged the hair extensions more than 50%. I mean really, you get a premium just for ordering them and she can't reimburse anything? Wow! Just do your homework with this one. read more

AMAZING! I had pretty much been dying my hair almost pitch black all over for about 2 years. I finally decided to lighten it up and add some highlights in. If you have ever gone from dark to light, then you know this process is not an easy one! Andrea was completely transparent about what I can expect during the process and that it will not be a same day transition. I went to Glam by Drea and was SO impressed with how the place was set up . Especially in these crazy times. It was well separated If there is more than one stylist ,but it was just us for most of the time. Another stylist came w/a client and both were wearing masks and were social distancing. Andrea is deemed The Color Queen! And it's so true! Plus she does a great cut and the best waves. I've been seeing her for over a year and will never go to anyone else. She will nail your color every time. The first time I came to her I had always been blonde with many years of highlights but wanted to get back to my more natural dirty blonde / light brown. She executed PERFECTLY the first time (and I have challenging porous curly frizzy hair) with a beautiful rich chestnut light brown with subtle highlights. This review is long overdue! Andrea is amazing with hair!! I started seeing her in the spring of 2017 for a complete hair mishap makeover (I came in with a pretty atrocious balayage and cut) and she spent hours with me making my hair look like it was supposed to be the way it was (what I would do for a before and after photo!). I never looked back. I'm usually faithful once I find a good hairstylist, but after one bad color or cut, I'll start to question whether I should return - not with Andrea. I've never left felling anything but fabulous. She colors my blonde hair perfectly, whether it's warm and has more roots for fall/winter, or bright and sun kissed for spring/summer, she always does exactly what I imagine when I walk in. Andrea is a hair genius! Not only does she have a great eye for aesthetics and create gorgeous color, she also handles my hair with amazing care. I have waist length, super-thick, coarse, frizzy hair that can be difficult to manage. She really knows what she's doing when it comes to lightening and highlighting, her technique is so gentle on the hair. She expertly shapes and layers, only trims what she needs to so it can continue to grow. I don't know what's in the deep conditioning treatment she uses but it's awesome.
