Wassim cut my hair once. He charged $130 for a bob. He told me he only took cash. I gave him a…read more$20 tip. He is the only one working in the salon. Since he is difficult to schedule an appointment with, it took me past when I should have had a follow up haircut and had to keep texting him continuously for 2 months. When I arrived today he was unfriendly and insulted me initially by saying "What are we going to do with this MESS today" while pulling his fingers thru my hair with disdain. He began to wash my hair and then asked me why my hair was greasy? My hair is NEVER greasy. I wash it daily. If anything it is dry from swimming daily. I sat in the styling chair and extended my leg and placed my foot gently up on the formica cabinet in front of my chair to relax my back. He turned to me with hostility and said "Do people put their feet up on your furniture in your house?" I thought he was joking. I put my other foot up next to it waiting for him to laugh. He said "You have to leave" and started removing my cape. I still thought he was kidding! He said "You don't come into my house and disrespect me"! I said "Are you serious"? He said "Yes you have to leave". I began to apologize over and over again, telling him that I meant no disrespect and I thought he was kidding me all along. He wouldn't accept my apology and made me leave. I felt that if anyone was being disrespected it was me. I have NEVER been treated with such a hostility. BTW, the floors in the place were completely trashed. He is the owner of the shop and if he is not concerned about the condition of his shop, he should not be so sensitive about someone placing their foot straight out in front of their chair touching their cheap cabinet. There are 3 reviews from 5 and 6 years ago that were 5*. Something has definitely changed in the last 5 years, believe me because this man should not be in a service profession where professionalism is required.

New client here. I really hate to be the first person to write a one star but isn't that what Yelp…read moreis for? Giving honest opinions and thoughts on experiences? So here it goes. Initially tried to book with Ariel after finding her on Instagram but she never responded back (assuming she's either already booked for the day I asked or she simply chose not to respond back just because). It is what it is. From there, I just went on the Current Salon website and booked with whoever was available for - funny enough - TODAY @ 12pm. The only stylist avail was 'Sam'. I'll spare the petty-ish details, but this 1 star is mainly for her. I booked for a Blowout Plus w/ the extra conditioning treatment... totaling to $135. I was out of there in approximately 45mins tops. The girl also didn't really talk to me either so it was 99% radio silent lol. Like, come on girl. Get a grip. I'm too nice for this and due to your lack of taking good care of my hair in the way you're supposed to, it made me have to write a one star. For Sam: I don't know you, you don't know me, but from the moment we met till I walked out the door, girl I'm 1000% sure you knew it never felt right lol. Let's be real and not fake anything from this. I have no issues personally with you as a stylist, but of all the master stylists I'm used to seeing on special occasions at a handful different locations, I've never once had my hair done under an hour -- and I have very long, medium-thick coarse hair & it's also damaged from my hair coloring too, which means there ain't no way you gave me a full blown luxurious experience bc you know what you did! What's less than half ass effort? That's what it felt like during my hair wash and as for the blowout itself and your side comments about my hair a couple times thinking you know what's up about it but you don't, I'll say that this is by far the worst experience I've had with any stylist. Ever. Not worth $135 when I felt like I was being treated by a stylist who treated me like we're at Super Cuts worth maybe $30-40 for this type of service. Honestly, I wish it could've been better but Sam's approach during this short hair appointment wasn't up to par of what this salon aims for. Bottom line: I'm not hating or angry about this other than feeling annoyed at how it wasn't giving full effort despite being a blowout, and I thought I was going to get rollers too but I was wrong. How would you feel if you spent $135 to get a blowout plus and got a botched version of it? I mean, it's not horrible, but it's not great at all. Just saying. Said I wouldn't explain too much but here I am lol. No shade for this salon bc I'm sure it's great based on what others are saying; unfortunately I didn't get that type of treatment with Sam. She knows what's up so if she sees this, I ain't mad at you but you did me lowkey dirty with my hair just a bit. I'm not one bit a hairstylist nor do I like to do hair in general, but if I'm truly honest, I could've done my own hair at home and made it that much better than what you did for me. This is just feedback, nothing too deep. Definitely disappointed for sure tho, but whatever. One other thing: prior to my hair appointment today, I went for brunch at Blossom & Root Kitchen and one of the ladies that work there even told me that they get their hair done at Current Salon and it was enjoyable chatting with her about it but man... I'm wrong for thinking I would've had a good time here but didn't. I'd pay $300 for a master stylist to make this better for me than to pay $135 for the lowest and most reluctant work done by Sam. Yeah, lesson learned. And no, I can't make this sh*t up lol. Sam knows. Overall: Very unwelcoming demeanor towards me to say the least. I wish I got up off that chair after you washed it bc then I wouldn't have to deal with what you did to my hair. Limpy blowout, and yes, you could've done better but I know you chose NOT to. I see you.

I have been meaning to come in to see Lisa Milsner for the longest time, but due to my hectic…read moreschedule I could not make it on the days she was working. I was lucky and got her on a Monday. She is so detail oriented and takes into consideration how damaged your hair is based on your last treatment. I had gone blonde from my previous salon in Fremont because I really wanted to be blonde. Lisa educated me and told me to go easy on my ends or they will all break off. Instead of bleaching and bleaching my hair she told me should would do a few strands and add a few different colors to give it more dimension and contrast. She created darks brown, blondes and something in the middle to make my hair look like it was well blended. She took her time and sectioned out my highlights carefully. I also liked that she only focused on me when I was there because there is only place for one person in her own and personalized salon, so you get 100% of her full attention. She also does not sit there and try to sell you all kinds of products that you will probably never use. I was not use to that. At most salons while you are in the dryer they work on other clients which is totally understandable, but this is the nice part of her salon you get to talk to her about anything you want without people over hearing your conversation. Really am happy with my hair. Thank you Lisa for not listening to me when I came in and asked for blonde blonde hair that my hair probably could not handle at this time.

After my first haircut by Katy, I knew that I would be a returning customer! No one, I mean no one,…read morehas been able to efficiently cut my thick, coarse hair. I have gone to countless salons from small to high end Vidal Sasson and haven't been happy with the results. Typically after a haircut, my hair ends up looking like a triangle, with so much weight still at the bottom and the top completely flattens on my scalp! Not anymore! Katy took off a good 5-6 inches and was able to give me this super cute bob that had the weight evenly distributed. I no longer look like I have mushroom head. All she used was scissors versus other stylists that used all sorts of funky tools in attempt to thin out my hair. Since my hair is thick and heavy, typically stylists will push the keratin treatment. She mentioned it as something she did but never pushed that for me. Katy was also very patient in listening to me when I first sat in that chair. I told her all the issues with my hair and what I hoped to achieved with the cut. She made suggestions and then we began the wash and cut process. After the blow dry, I decided I wanted it a little more taken off the length. She cheerfully said "sure" and helped take more length off. She was very easy to talk to and we chatted about all sorts of topic. The hour appointment flew by. Her salon is also very easy to find. It's tucked in this side street near downtown Danville. The salon is small and cozy. And it doesn't have the typical strong chemical smells of the larger salons. Overall I had a very positive and pleasant experience. Her prices are very competitive. I gladly recommend her in a heartbeat!
