I have thick, curly, often frizzy hair and I'm always nervous finding a place to get it cut (I've lived in the area for 8+ years and haven't yet found a place I'm comfortable going to regularly). As such, I hadn't gotten my hair cut in months (like, 8 months) prior to this appointment. I got my hair cut with Candace, and she looked at my hair dry and asked me around where I wanted it to hit afterwards, which I really appreciated with curls. She was able to blow dry it straight afterwards, and I was scared it was going to be too short once it dried curly. BUT, I was pleasantly surprised! It might have been 0.5-1 inch shorter than I anticipated, but it looked great! Deep Blue was the perfect combo of well priced with awesome results. and I might have finally found a place that I can go to regularly! P.S. The online appointment system is also pretty helpful.

I had to come back the last time so Candice could fix my cut, clearly annoyed, and left me with a choppy bang-like piece that I ended up fixing elsewhere. Then this last visit I showed her a photo of what I wanted - a very blunt shoulder length bob. Pretty simple. I was there 20 minutes tops and wasn't shown the back with a mirror, and when I got home and looked with my own mirror, I found the cut was uneven, angled, and longer at the front. Sure it looked nice after being blow dried, and I typically play around with my hair afterwards to to be sure the cut flows nicely, but I felt uncomfortably rushed with her standing at the register waiting for me. The floor should also be swept between each client. That was definitely my last visit there.

My daughter had a very grown out very awkward pre-covid pixie that was difficult to work with however Michelle had no problem finding a way to get an angled bob out of something that was basically a dismantled birds nest. Over the years I have been a client of salons in NYC, Newbury Street and Brookline but I have never had a stylist who is such a skilled color expert. Amazing! The salon offers great waxing and mani/pedis as well. I just can't say enough about the fantastic service of this salon. It might not have all the bells and whistles of high-end salons but the expertise, the eye for style and color that the stylist have is unbeatable. I highly recommend you give them a try!

Its clientele…read moreis overwhelmingly from the same demographic, aka, wealthy elderly women from Newton/Chestnut Hill. They all seem to want the same bob cut and cover their silvers. The stylists have long lost touch with anything fresh and new. I got color done by Sasha and haircut by none other than Marco. I was quoted $350-$400 when I made the appointment. The price I paid? $780!!!!! It was a SINGLE COLOR process to match my dark hair and was suppose to be an edgy A cut (longer in the front, shorter in the back type of bob). What did I get? A GOLDEN BLONDE root and the haircut of Edna from The Incredibles. I kept telling Marco, that isn't the look I was going for. He asked me to be patient for the final result. At the end, when he dried (fried) my hair, he quipped, you look so cute! it's like you put on 15lbs without actually putting any! Well, geez! That's a new type of compliment!! Looking fat without having gained any weight and then paying ridiculous $780 for it! Sasha was defensive of her lousy job by saying she didn't know she had my appointment and she had to be creative (take shortcuts) to keep my appointment and Marco was so full of himself. Absolutely the worst experience, the worst hairstyle and let's not even talk about the price jacking and cheating. There are many better options than this outdated pompous salon.
