I booked a cut and single process color. The website said the prices ($121.00) might vary based on the stylist. So I anticipated it would costs no more than$140-150. I was charged $248.00 for "hair correction" and '" extra color" whatever that means. I had had my hair colored about 4 weeks previously and it was reddish blonde with a little too much red for my liking. I wanted it too be more on the blonde side. The stylist wanted to take some of the color out so she put in a shampoo that set for about 15 minutes and then washed my hair. We then discussed what I wanted for the blonde, which was a medium blonde. Well now my hair is yellow and brassy. Before I went to this stylist I was unhappy with my hair. Now I'm embarrassed to go out with my house with this hair. For the first time in my marriage when I came home my husband asked me "what the h**l did she do to your hair." My son's wedding is in 3 weeks and I almost cry at the thought that my hair will look like this in the pictures. I have no idea what I am going to do. DO NOT GO TO THESE PEOPLE. My appointment was with Natasha, but before I sat down the hostess gave me a run down on the salon. Once I sat down my consult went pretty easy, Natasha listened to what I wanted and was able to guide me into making a decision. I came to Illinois on business travel, had nothing to do so I got my hair done... I had Alyson she was super friendly, showed me around ect. I asked for more of a golden blonde, with a lot higher of a balayage, it was supposed to go about an inch from my roots.... which it doesn't... The first time I really wasn't happy, so she re did it, thankfully. She also called to make sure I was happy which was nice... but she called the day that I was leaving, so what was I supposed to say, it doesn't look terrible, so I was happy enough. The cost is pretty good for this place, I paid about 150 for a hair coloring. Sadly in this case, you get what you pay for... in my pictures, the two in the tie dye shirt are from today! The black shirt with the grey cardigan is from two days after coloring, and in the maroon shirt was me before I went into this salon... Do you see a big difference .... read more

I got a super bad hair color at another salon -- wanted highlights in my blonde hair and walked out of the other salon with pink/orange stripes. Jill [and Kristin] Rock!! After a series of unfortunate hair cuts & color in less than a five month time period... Jill knocked it out of the park! My color looks great! The cut is even stylish for my age, around 39 'wink'. Completely caught off guard by this cute smallish salon. Originally I was scheduled to see Natasha [Level 4] however, by complete happenstance I was paired with Jill [and her sometimes accomplice, Kristen] . A wonderful duo, who made me feel special in the way they attended to my hair! I've been to one of the trendy salons in St. Louis almost six weeks ago, it was meh... so I ended up here. Was expecting a lot from this place. I had Rachael, she was friendly, but my bangs weren't cut like I asked and was not impressed by my bayalage. A few of my friends have even asked what I was going for. I had a great bayalage before, and now ny hair looks like it hasn't even been touched. As for the wild ginger treatment, it smelled great, but I honestly do notice a difference at all. I heard great things about this salon so I decided to give it a try. Incredibly unimpressed. It would have been a great experience, but the supposed "friendly professionals," were anything but. Talking about other employees in a demeaning, gossipy manner in front of guests is unprofessional and makes for a very uncomfortable experience when you're in the chair. I came here because I was told that they have a friendly, relaxing environment. This felt like I was surrounded by immature high school bullies, even though they were full grown adults. I would think that they have better things to do... like, I don't know, their jobs? For such high prices, you would think that the employees would be a little more professional. I would never tolerate this kind of behavior from employees in my business. Overall, my haircut came out fine, but the behavior of the "professionals" ruined my whole experience. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a salon! I went in with medium length black hair and asked for an a line ombre bob. I had to have to black stripped out so Jen did that for me. She did what was supposed to be brown red and only the roots of my hair took the red. So I now had red roots, brown in the middle and a sorry excuse for ombre because she doesn't know how to do that. This first day took 6 hours in the salon. I went home and checked my hair because she stated the cut may not be perfect since she cut it curly. I straightened it out and there was no bob it was a straight cut in the back with hardly any angle in the front. There was also a big chunk of dye missing from the back of my head! So I called immediately she got me in the next day, BIG mistake! Because my roots were red she threw a darker color on top basically making my hair black again, which I just paid to strip out. That color only took on the top all underneath was still VERY red. Also, she was talking to her co worker in there and said her friend Sally would give them a class on ombre! Say what!? She really had no clue what she was doing! She then tried to fix my bob, but she obviously doesn't know how to do a very basic one length a line bob. She then hacked all of my hair off cutting about 6 inches of the back now in total to my shortest layer and stacked it!!! No one said to stack it, not to mention I showed her multiple pictures to make sure she understood what I wanted.Well what she considered a stack was also cutting a HUGE chunk out of the middle of the back of my hair!! The front of my hair was super long down to my collar bone and the back was gone! This was another 4 hours at the salon wasted with her and now my has was completely ruined! I cried for days over this. I had to have it cut even more with another salon to fix this awful mess on my head, they were amazed how bad it was and that she even has a license! I was thankfully refunded all of my money, but that doesn't bring back all of my hair. There was ZERO miscommunication it's due to lack of skills! Paul Mitchell would be ashamed if they ever saw this! You can throw that name around, but if your skills and quality don't match it means nothing! Be very careful here if you love your hair! I wish I had mine still! Thanks Signature for the worst experience in having my hair "done".Natasha the owner tried to set me up for a third appointment for Jen to "fix" my hair again of which I canceled that appointment I wasn't about to let her touch my hair again! Then Natasha called me and called me a liar that she never set me up for a third appointment with her that it was with someone else which was a complete lie! I even text Jen that night to say I wasn't going to make it and she said she was try to put me back in Tuesday I have all of the texts! Natasha also said I didn't handle things properly I should have went to her instead of texting Jen, well Jen gave me her business card and said to call her if I had any problems which is what I did. I spoke with Natasha that Friday when all of this happened and only thing she asked for was my credit card info to refund my money and was in a rush didn't want to hear a thing I said to her and said it was miscommunication. As the owner she should have stepped in and handled this, but instead she had nothing but a snotty attitude and never tried to help. The only time she started to care was when I wrote bad reviews on several pages then her little tune changed! She was more concerned how she looked in these reviews which is why she took them down, then what had happened to my hair. I think it is hilarious because they have since deleted my comment on their main website, that's why it's all mostly good reviews they delete anything bad, and made their fb page so you can't see reviews or write one anymore. They have since also added a ton of photos and comments on here stating how great Jen V is LMBO! I also added some photos of my hair for you all to see! The pictures speak for themselves!! read more

Absolutely great. Jill did an outstanding job. She took my extremely warm hair to a soft grey color with almost no damage.

So, I went to A Signature Hollywood Salon for the first time this week, but I wasn't really sure what I wanted-just some kind of change. Jen V was my stylist, and while I was anxious and unclear, she was patient, professional and fabulous! She took her time asking questions and allowing me to be difficult...and despite all my flip-flopping, by the end, I had what is honestly the greatest hair style I think I have ever had. Great color and cut. Even the guys at my Starbucks went crazy over it the next day. I am getting compliments everywhere! The Salon itself is light, open and clean with friendly professional staff. The owner, Barri, took time to stop by my chair and see how I was doing. They have lovely beverages and homemade cookies to snack on while you process. I will definitely be back to see Jen and the rest of the crew. read more
