The potential is there but I'm giving 2-stars because this was the only place who nonsensically gave me a partial and charged me for a full - which the price difference is only $10 (should've been a red flag for me). I didn't know until I was checking out and somehow the conversation went to the fact I still had a lot of dark beneath my hair she didn't touch yet because "she didn't want me there for hours" and that we'd do it next time? I've been a blonde my whole life. I expect to be in the salon for hours. I was there for three and thought that was record timing and then realize why. She didn't do the whole head but charged a full. It's just dishonest and a way to make more money off your clients. Say it's a full, charge a full, get tipped for a full, yet it took you only three hours so now you can fit in more clients in your day? And the place is not cheap, without tip, or cut or style it's $294... For that reason I did not return. I think that's a disservice to your clientele. It was a no frills experience and I'm not sure my hair was cut with skill. I asked to cut off all damaged ends but the ends are still frizzy. I think the stylist was worried about taking too much length despite me okaying whatever means necessary to get rid of the witch hair. It supposedly also came with a deep conditioning treatment, but I feel like my hair was at least as dry and miserable when I left as when I came in. Hi I went to Salon LaPage about 3 weeks ago! I am not happy with my haircut. I believe the owner cut my hair. i just wanted to be able to curl my hair and the curl stay, however she did not take off enough hair, and it is just as heavy as it was the day I went in. cost me over $100, and I just called for a re-do because Im not happy and apparently there cut off for a redo is 2 weeks, conveniently. they will not do a redo, after spending over $100 for 1 persons hair cut! Im sorry but thats ridiculous! They offer 100% satisfaction on their website, and say Nothing about notifying them in 2 weeks. Im a really busy single mom w almost no time to myself, and they are going to put a deadline on my $$. My money should be good forever! DO NOT USE -- they arbitrarily cancel services at their pleasure. They cancelled my services even though I ARRIVED WITHIN THE GRACE PERIOD. I'm from out of town and made an appointment for 2:30pm for a wash, blow, and heat style with Courtney at this salon for a family wedding I had in the evening. I was never told about a grace period or a cut off time. Nevertheless, I called the salon a to let them know I would be about 10 minutes late to my scheduled time when my Uber driver hit some construction and had to take a different route. The front desk thanked me for letting them know and confirmed it was fine. 6 minutes later, while I'm 2 minutes away from the salon, they call me back and tell me that Courtney has decided she can't wait and has cancelled my services. I let them know I was literally 2 minutes away, but they refused to take me. I arrived anyway (I'm in an Uber I've already paid for) -- 13 minutes late at 2:43pm -- and asked to speak to a manager. After waiting another 10 minutes, I finally spoke to an alleged team leader (who apparently didn't realize when I arrived) and told me the grace period was 15 minutes -- I had clearly arrived within the grace period. To recap, I let the salon know in advance, they confirmed it was fine, I arrived within the grace period, and they still decided to cancel my services. I have never experienced this kind of unprofessional service or complete lack of regard for customer service. This salon claims to be the "New York experience with Southern Hospitality" on their front door. I live in New York City and frequent hair salons -- I can confirm this is neither the New York experience or hospitable in any way. read more

I waited because I had a great first experience, I showed pictures of what I wanted done ASH GREY/SLIVER OMBRÉ by the way. My hair was healthy as can be. I trusted in this place and James to do a good job. Not only was I robbed with terrible turnout and i still tipped 20% still. After four days, and a good specific wash with specific shampoo and conditioner. It turned out disgustingly blonde. I cried. I called this place FOUR times. and every time it was "oh sorry james busy, but he will call back! please leave your number" "oh sorry, please call another time." Salon LaPage is hands-down the best salon in all of Texas and probably the south. Everyone there is sweet and kind and always accommodating. My entire family goes, and from Forrest who gives the most amazing fades and cool-guy haircuts to our son, to Chelsa who painstakingly cares for my hair and understands the challenges (naturally curly, thinning, refuses to grow), we are all taken care of like we're part of the family. They have been incredibly diligent throughout Covid and have made all of us feel safe, while also managing our unruly locks from lock-down. I just got an amazing cut and color by Bianca at Salon LaPage! I'd never been to Salon LaPage before, but after reading a lot of great reviews and looking at a ton of "before" and "after" photos, I decided to give Bianca a try for a new look I wanted to get. I am SO glad that I did! She spent about 20 minutes interviewing me about my hair goals and habits, as well as my lifestyle activities that may impact my hair, and gave me a tour of the salon. Then, over the next three hours, she did a stunning balayage color effect on me, using three different colors, as well as beautiful toning and glaze, a great cut, a deep conditioning shot, and an awesome blowout and style. She also showed me some great styling tips and used some products I was curious about, so that I could see them in action before buying them. Although I'd never been to this salon before, I felt right at home; Bianca is very professional and personable at the same time, and extremely talented! Moreover, the salon was clean, comfortable, and everyone there was friendly. It's a bit pricey, but I feel like it's a "you get what you pay for" situation. They also have a loyalty and referral program that includes discounts for your first three visits, so that's awesome. I ended up getting some great Redken products as well. They made a point to explain to me that they have all of my color details in their computer, so if I like or don't like what they did, they can know exactly what was done next time. I walked out of Salon LaPage feeling awesome about my new hair, and totally inspired to devote a little more time to styling my hair to show off my new look as well! Thanks, Bianca! I had a major case of damaged and dead hair when I first came in here. They gave me an appointment with Zin, and I had some chem shots, olaplex treatments, a hair cut, and some products to take home with me. I could tell there was a tiny difference in the health of my hair, but it was still really damaged. I went back for a third appointment and had my hair cut a little, had more treatments, and Zin blew it out for me, applying heat for the first time in months. Afterwards, I could actually run my hands through it, and I was so excited! It's been about a week since then and my hair is still manageable, and I can still run my hands through it. It is FAR better than it was when I first came in, without even having to cut much length off. I'm very impressed! The decor inside is very chic and fashionable, but I do have one complaint. There is hardly any privacy at all between you and other guests. Even the waiting room just consists of a small bench in the middle of the room. If you're not a people person, the set-up will be very intimidating, however, I am getting used to it. It is a little pricy for my taste, but so far I haven't gotten a bad service, so I don't blame them. However, I have gotten the same quality at other salons for less money. I wore mine for the duration but realized after some conversation that she likely is not vaccinated. That pisses me off. You should have to tell me, if you're going to be in my face for 45 minutes, that you're not vaccinated. You could get me very sick. And I can take that to my immuno-compromised husband and he could get sick. Not ok. When I asked her if she was vaccinated her response was "we're not allowed to advise our status". Bullsh*t. Loved the color and cut that was done, but pricing was dishonest. You can't go by their website at all. I called ahead and spoke to someone about how much it would cost and the expectation was $112 for the highlight. I've never had a stylist need to use extra color as my hair isn't thick, and no one has ever charged extra for toner which is always used. They charged an extra $128 just for adding color and toner without telling me as it was happening or beforehand my price would more than double. Then she trimmed my hair even though I hadn't scheduled that so I thought it was free as other stylists trim for free. That was another $56. It was almost $300 when I was expecting $112. That is insane pricing and should've been much more transparent when I called and asked and also when I first met with the stylist who knew it was my first time there. read more

I was looking for a new stylist, my previous one I had for 15 years had to close her salon due to serious health problems, I decided to try Salon LaPage. I told the lady what I was looking for and she recommended Kat. Kat was very friendly, but I was so disappointed. When she ask me what I wanted done, I ask her to use a razor cut on my neck line and to feather in front of my ears. She ended up using a razor all over. This was my fault, I should have been paying more attention and said something, I have had a razor cut all over before, but not like this. I walked out feeling like I just paid $59.00 for a basic men's hair cut. The only styling that was done was with a round brush used once on my side bangs. When she was picking up the hair dryer, I ask her if she was going to use some styling gel, oops sure she said. Very little was used and by the time she got to this spot, my hair was almost dry. NO STYLING at all except one sweep on my side bangs. The rest of my hair was completely flat. I did not want to make a scene and a lady was behind me to check out. I've seen a few different stylists here over the years and they were all great. That being said, Chelsa is the best! She is extremely knowledgeable especially when it comes to color. I hate to give such a bad review but it's necessary. I went to LaPage when I moved to Denton and got a brow wax to feel out the salon vibe. I returned for a haircut and asked for their top level stylists. They placed me with a top-tier stylist and I received a terrible haircut. I was confused why she was parting my hair incorrectly but she said that that was normal etc. and yet I left the salon with completely uneven hair. One side was a good length longer than the other and this was one of their top people?! I have maybe once in my life received a haircut I was so unhappy with until this fateful cut. To my fault, I continued getting my brows waxed since the did a fine job. I went in a few weeks ago and was butchered. I have a natural brow line that does not need shaping- just clean up- and have been getting my brows done for years and never ever had a problem. Some stylist went to town on my eyebrows creating a HOLE in my left brow and making my right one too short. When I became anxious that the process was taking longer than it ever had before she told me she was a perfectionist and that's why she keep coming back with different tools. Thankfully I can brush my brow to fill in the hole but what a terrible experience. If you are thinking of giving this salon a shot, run the other way. read more

I walked in earlier in the week to make my appointment. I educated the staff that I wanted a change, let them know about how thick and long my hair was. I was told the stylist would show mw how to style my hair. After the cut the stylist told me I was done. I asked if my hair was going to be styled, she said no there is not enough time I have another client. Hello! This was my first hair cut in years and there is not enough time to style my hair! If I wanted to do my hair myself I would have stayed at home. After getting home, and attempting to style my hair myself, I realized the cut is not bad. Priscilla was awesome! I was in desperate need of a haircut and have only been living in Denton for a few months and didn't want to drive into Dallas for a expensive haircut. A friend recommend this place and I was beyond pleased with my experience! Expecting to pay a chunk of change for my cut, the price was discounted because I was referred and they gave me coupons for my future visits! As a student in grad school, I'm definitely on a budget and this was music to my ears. The best part was the staff was extremely nice and welcoming and Priscilla took the time to give me a tour of the salon and was so thorough with every aspect of my appointment. She took the time to get to know me and what my hair needs were while offering her advice and suggestions without being over bearing. Did exactly what I envisioned for my hair, and since it was my first time, I got a free hair treatment thing so I thought that was a nice little touch for new clients! My new hair looks so great!! I loved my stylist, I will update with her name. They give you a free deep conditioning or brow wax on your first visit I got the conditioning treatment which only takes 5 min but lasts 30 days. My hair was very long but I love it this length. The stylist was very meticulous and confident. I would suggest that they use a curling wand tho instead of the curler/straightener she used to give the beach waves that I wanted. It also feels less damaging. Also both receptionist forgot to bring me my water. And it is not bottled btw. Front desk girl wasn't around, walked around reception area for 10 minutes waiting to be helped as numerous staff milled around, none asked if I'd been helped. I drove an hour for consult that ended up being conducted by a young girl that wasn't even a stylist. In poor judgement I put $100 deposit down on a $300 appointment. I cancelled my appointment a week before and have yet to receive my refund. I received quotes from two other salons that we're half the cost and much more friendly and attentive staff that valued my time. I'm still waiting on my refund of my deposit 2 weeks later and had my hair done at another salon for a third of the price I was quoted. If being disrespected at an over priced salon is your thing give them a call, I'm sure they are happy to help. read more

I've been going to Salon LaPage for almost a year now and I couldn't be more pleased with Bianca. Her expertise in color and interpersonal skills with her clients are superb. Every time I go in she listens to what I want and gives me realistic feedback. She's not going to promise you something if it's going to compromise the integrity of your hair. If you're wanting to go light, she can definitely get you to your dream color, it just may take a few times. I 100% appreciate honesty over damaged hair. Salon doesn't tell you what is being charged until you're ready to check out - including the color being added on because of their mistakes. I was quoted $126-166 & ended up paying $362 because my colorist kept having to put on dye after dye to "try to get it close to what I want" which was an overreach... Included are pictures of how disastrous my hair looked & nothing like what I wanted. The owner is unapologetic & talked down to me referring to me as "sweetie" & saying there are NO REFUNDS ON COLOR. They offered me a free color glaze on a color I did not want. After saying that is all they could do complimentary I told the owner that is not what I want & for paying that much for JUST A HIGHLIGHT I would prefer to go somewhere else, accepting even just the cost of the re-glaze as a refund & once again that was condescendingly shut down. I will not go back & would not refer anyone here for color. As seeing the novel long response to another poor review, can't wait to see what the owner publicly has to say about this one. read more
