The whole process is pretty simple and they send out text reminders to keep you on track! The salon itself is really cute. I would say it's rustic-chic. If you get there early, there's a cute sitting area and coffee! I know haircuts can be pretty subjective, but I've never had any problems with Jenny. I personally always hate making small talk when I go to the hair salon, but I don't feel awkward​ about it at Tease. All of the other stylists​ seem personable as well! I'm still incredibly happy with my cut however I'm incredibly unhappy about my coloring. 4 days after leaving I washed my hair and my hair turned VERY yellow/gold--exactly what I said I didn't want. I messaged her on a Monday--she responded the next day and apologized and told me "sometimes with the lightning it ends up being a bit yellow" (that's never happened to me). Requested I give it a few more washes and another week and she would then tone it. (Toning would darken--not lighten). She said she looked over my photos and said when I left the salon she thought she did what I wanted--she did however it washed out. I messaged her to let her know that I went some place else. Where I was informed that she did not leave it on my hair long enough and it was not blended well at all. I had paid $360 (with tip, to Mallory). She not only didn't offer to refund ANY of my money, she also didn't even apologize that I had went someplace else. I would never go back to her based on the lack of response and refund. Terrible.

For starters.. I needed a hair cut. Badly. At this point, it was almost a year if not longer since…read moremy last cut. I used to be one of those people that insists that it's cheaper to do my own hair. Notice I said "used to be". Normally I'd bleach my hair at home, color it every couple weeks or month depending on what mood I was in. At one point, I even had dreadlocks. Which over the years & in the end.. took a nasty toll on my hair. I finally decided to let it be healthier & try to better my ways. This being, letting a professional handle it. Anyways, my cousin had told me about this salon - she has been coming here for a long time. I reached out to Tiffany for a consultation. Although embarrassed, I told her about all of my past & recent hair mistakes. I did want some coloring done - my hair was covered in dark box dye with some bright red underneath it somewhere. I knew my hair was damaged, but as a priority, still needed a cut regardless. She helped me make an appointment to visit as soon as possible. On arrival, I was greeted by her assistant Madie. Super nice & smiley - which I loved. She guided me to the chair & put my cape on. She even offered me a beverage. I was already loving this place. Tiffany greeted me shortly after - also, super nice & friendly. At this moment, I loved everyone's personalities. Tiffany cut my hair & Madie had washed and styled it. Both of the ladies were very informative & explained every step they did along the way. I left with a fresh do & an appointment for color! About a week later, I returned for color. A fresh balayage. Tiffany knew about the dark box dye & underlying red color on my hair. We went over a few photos I had picked out. Dissected them together, figuring out what would work best for me. I went into this journey knowing that we might not be able to lift my hair to be as light as I picked out - I was okay with that. I really appreciated the time they put into helping me understand everything. Madie & Tiffany both worked on my hair as a team & conquered it. In the end, with a few processes and treatments later.. we were able to get a fall inspired color (much lighter than anticipated). We named it "pumpkin chai". In the future, I can return to have it lightened further. For now & for fall tho.. I'm gonna leave it be. I'm very happy with my experiences at Vivid. Their knowledge and expertise is far beyond other salons. They're constantly furthering their skills whenever possible. Which is super important to me. Staying on top of current trends, colors or processes - is how you stay the best! I would recommend anyone to give them shot. Any haircut I've even had with different stylists over the years have always cut my hair dry. (My hair is wavy & I also love my long hair). Here at Blushing Beauty, it was cut wet. Extremely risky when someone has curly hair since curls // waves have a mind of their own and cutting hair whilst wet // straight won't translate when it's dry and curly. That's exactly what happened here. My hair stylist didn't ask me anything about my hair or lifestyle. My hair is wavy // curly, I always wear it natural, and I love the length and rarely get it cut. She asked no questions and was completely uninformed while cutting my hair. She even thinned out the sections by my face. So image that when it's curly!!! I told her I was unsure about that and she did it anyway and then was like "see? Just like that". WHAT? SEE? You can't take it back??? I feel like my hair is completely destroyed.
