    I absolutely love this salon and all of their stylist. My stylist is Rachael and she exceeds my expectations in every way. I especially love her knowledge about different hair types and how she works with me to get exactly what I want. She is magical with a pair of scissors and also creates the most beautiful and vibrant hair colors and I have dark hair! She is patient and thorough with her work. She has great conversation and truly loves what she does. I am so grateful for Rachael because of how she has boosted my confidence. Because of her I am excited to try new styles and hair colors. I get so many compliments and everyone talks about my hair. Plus the color lasts for weeks! She is truly dedicated to her work and is great at it. Everyone in the salon is so friendly and makes great conversation. They truly make you feel welcome and sitting in a chair for 6+ hours feels like hanging out with friends for the day!     This is my first time leaving a review for a salon and not something I often do but feel it is necessary after realizing the state of my hair. I came in for a women's cut, asked for about 2 inches off and to follow the cut i currently had, specifically wording it as a "refresh" with the possibility of LONG layers. When I first left the salon, it was styled and although i felt it was shorter than what I anticipated, I left with the impression the quality of my haircut was okay. After sitting on it for about a day and showing friends who are stylists, attempting to style it multiple ways, I believe i was given quite the chop job. It is unfortunate because I had really great conversation with my stylist and felt very welcomed in the environment, but the results are not up to standard. The length is uneven, the layers are choppy and not at all blended long layers like I originally asked. I hope more time and grace is taken for future clients as I now will be waiting a long time to have this grown to a length I feel comfortable to be again cut to blended and fix these mistakes.

    I will not return. I agree with another post written by Beth here. Stephanie did a Brazilian Blowout on my hair a few days ago. She was pleasant. She said Salon Envy cannot guarantee their services unless I use their products to maintain it. Those products are up to $37/for small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, & a smoothing straightener for more day to day use. I declined to purchase these items as I've had the Brazilian done previously by Hannah & there was not an issue nor a statement regarding we cannot guarantee this service if you don't buy our products. The cashier had difficulty entering in my gift card and Groupon that I used. Phone call had to be made and three people were there to enter information that took about 5-8 minutes. No problem. They were all polite. The next morning I wash my hair (this past Tuesday) & it's noticeably frizzy towards the back. I call politely back to explain my concern & I booked an appointment with Stephanie for today to reassess. I couldn't come before today that would have been my ideal. Terri says she will see me instead when I walked in.. I explain to her what I typed above and I was shocked to hear the defensive responses I received (some were repetitive and below is not the exact order) 1. "Your hair is beautiful the way it is and it has nice wave the Brazilian will not straighten your hair". I explained I understood that and have no concerns about the wave of my hair--I never mentioned that. 2. I ask why did Hannah do it last time without me buying the salons products and what was different. She says she doesn't know why and she wasn't here. I didn't say anything back, but she actually was there, because Hannah had asked her if the Keratin Groupon I bought could be used for Brazilian and she said no so I had to pay out of pocket, which was a whole thing in itself--thankfully after several weeks I got a refund from Groupon. Interestingly enough this time I got a Keratin Groupon, because they told me on the phone they would take it and did. 3. Terri stated the product does not guarantee 100% removal of frizz. Interesting I was never told that nor is it on the Groupon. Never had it happen before..but I don't know that much about it. 4. we can't guarantee our services unless you use our products because other products can strip the product we use" I bought in the shampoo bottle I use at their request and within literally 5 seconds of looking at it I get this statement multiple times. I don't know enough about chemicals, but I do use a Keratin infusing / sulfate free shampoo. Interesting that after 1 wash this got stripped to where a chunk of a part of my hair is frizzy... 5. " I don't see a need to redo it we are all trained here in this". 6. I was asked when I washed my hair and what I've done to it. I explained I washed my hair last night and have left it natural to show the frizz (aka not straightening it, etc) and I was told "it's because you slept on it". So that response makes me wonder if she did see frizz since she said "because you slept on it" ..because if there wasn't frizz this wouldn't have been a response is my perception. I found this to be an interesting response. So sleeping on your hair suddenly makes hair frizzy on a part of your head within 24 hours is what I heard...very interesting. Nothing on the site says you must use certain products afterwards that I could find. I wish I had been met halfway in some how rather than completely shut out with repetitive responses that did not solve the problem of getting hair that's supposed to be completely frizz-free...I wish I had better customer service. I will be seeking another establishment as I've never had this problem before and now have a concern that should I have any service in the future and there is a concern I will not be helped.

    Came to see Cristina for a hair cut and deep condition. She did a great job. Staff is friendly and salon is beautiful.

    This is a great salon. My hairdresser is Terri and she always gives me exactly what I hope for. I will continue to get my hair done here.

The girl I went to today, left a TON of glue in my lashes after the lift and my eye lashes don't look all that lifted. I don't know how this was an acceptable service.     So I've been getting lash extensions (on and off) at different places. I've been going to a place…read morein my own town because their lashes stay on for a long while, even after almost 2 weeks. I know how to take care of lash extensions. I wash them daily with foam cleanser I would buy from my lash extensions place, use lash coating & I always bring a small brush wand with me every where I go to brush them all the time. Because of the covid and with places reopening, I couldn't get a hold of my usual lash place so I decided to book an appt at Lure Lash in Somerville since they had open availability sooner. I was excited. I checked out their ig and read some good reviews. I was ready to go. My appt was for 3:35pm and I finished around 6pm... I was really surprised, but I didn't complain because I didn't have anything to do later that day. But what DID surprise me was that I had 2-3 lashes that fell out that same day... then it would be 3-5 lashes the next day.. and then the next. It would happen every day. My appt was a week ago and now that it's almost going to be a full 2 weeks since I've gotten them done, you can tell that if you see them, my right eye is a lot fuller than my left. I've never had this experience.. I was disappointed. I've been to 3 different lash places, with different technicians, and I never would've had a problem this bad before :( I was disappointed, I'm sorry. I usually don't give long negative reviews like this but I was looking forward to getting my lashes done after not having them during the whole quarantine. This photo is my most recent one.
