I know how to take care of lash extensions. I wash them daily with foam cleanser I would buy from my lash extensions place, use lash coating & I always bring a small brush wand with me every where I go to brush them all the time. Because of the covid and with places reopening, I couldn't get a hold of my usual lash place so I decided to book an appt at Lure Lash in Somerville since they had open availability sooner. I was excited. I checked out their ig and read some good reviews. I was ready to go. My appt was for 3:35pm and I finished around 6pm... I was really surprised, but I didn't complain because I didn't have anything to do later that day. But what DID surprise me was that I had 2-3 lashes that fell out that same day... then it would be 3-5 lashes the next day.. and then the next. It would happen every day. My appt was a week ago and now that it's almost going to be a full 2 weeks since I've gotten them done, you can tell that if you see them, my right eye is a lot fuller than my left. I've never had this experience.. I was disappointed. I've been to 3 different lash places, with different technicians, and I never would've had a problem this bad before :( I was disappointed, I'm sorry. I got a partial balayage with Olaplex treatment, haircut, and blow dry. Rachael was my hair stylist for my appointment and I'm so glad I got her. The balayage she did was beautiful. She did it with the exact color I wanted and my hair after the treatment felt so soft and healthy. The people who work here are so nice and funny, we were talking about the most random things and I was laughing so much. They also offered me coffee and snacks which I really appreciated! The salon is located in downtown Somerville and has plenty of parking spots around. Public metered parking is pretty cheap and right behind the salon. Carina was my stylist and she did a wonderful job with my hair. I have pretty long hair and just wanted to get my split ends trimmed. She patiently listened to my request and made sure she wouldn't chop extra hair. Most salons charge extra if the hair is longer than shoulder length but SAFFIRE DOESN'T. I also got a 'glaze' done which was only $15 if you use Groupon for your main service. Regular price is about $30 I think. So in total I paid $45 for a haircut, glaze, shampoo and blowdry and that's a steal. Also, Carina was kind enough to run and add coins when my car parking time was expiring since I had product in my hair. They have a cute coffee station with coffee, cookies and other cold beverages. I was surprised with a small goodie bag as a new client. The bag had a hair serum and 2 discount coupons for future services. Overall, I had a great experience from the moment I walked into the salon till I left. I highly recommend this salon. Ask for Carina. She's sweet and the best!

The brow threader did precisely what I asked for. It was quick and painless. Word of advice about threading: Not all threaders are the same. Some pay attention to detail and others are careless, and even answer their phones while working on you. If this occurs, stop them. Before you sit in their chair, take a little time to observe them and explain what you want in a very uncomplicated way. This should give a better result. :)
