Salon Elle - Thank you Lisa!! - Hair Salons Near Me - Larchmont, New York

Holy recommend Salon Elle! Just saw Mary for roots, a cut, and to fix brassy, dried out baylayage (it had been a while since I had seen the inside of a salon). She was AMAZING! My hair looks beautiful, natural and its so soft! She's a real professional. Knew exactly what to do with the color to keep light pieces on the end while blending my roots down. Color can be hard. She made it effortless. Cut was excellent. Thank you Mary! Will see you again soon :) read more

I was displaced from Long Island during Hurricane Sandy. 11 day later and still no power at my home. I was in need of some R & R and called Salon Elle for a last minute appointment (I called at 945AM and got an appointment at 1030). What a nice salon this was! It was exactly what I needed and Claudia was so nice. I had a wash, simple cut and blow dry. Thank you salon Elle more making me feel "more normal". read more

Love this place. Marisol washed my hair and Angela cut and styled it. I came in with the impossible... About a month into a bad haircut from someone I had gone to for a year. Angela listened and asked questions using the mirror and my hair when needed for clarification. I knew this would be an "in-between" haircuts... You know the cut you need before your hair is long enough to get the cut you want. She took her time and chatted with me while she cut. Which the hair turned out better than we both thought possible... It is really cute! I will definitely return. read more

I don't know why some people have written bad reviews about Bridget. She's the only stylist who knows how to get volume in my hair and is an amazzzzing updo stylist! I turned heads on Halloween when she gave me an awesome pin up girl updo. Bridget is also really good at putting in my clip in extensions when she puts them in they don't move, which is awesome. read more

Salon Elle - Birthday Hair nice and curly :) - Hair Salons Near Me - Larchmont, New York

First time there was amazing. Second time destroyed my hair, wrong color dye was putting in my hair which you could clearly see it did not match. I went there to get a simple cut since this would be the last cut to get the layers out of my hair. Not only did the person put layers back in my hair, she thinned my hair so much that I can't put my hair in a bun and my pony tail looks like a rats tail. Also with the amount of layers and thinning done to my hair I now, once again am getting knots in hair the size of soft balls. read more

I decided to go to Salon Elle from reading the reviews on Yelp. I am new to the area. So Yelp is my go to for services. I had a root touch up and blow dry by Bridget. She was wonderful. I have to say the best blow dry I have ever had. The color came out amazing as well. Its difficult to find a stylist that can get your hair the way you want, but be able to have easy and great conversation is a plus. Bridget is a star inside and out. I will be back. read more

I have been coming here for a while now, this is a great salon. I love the girls that work there. My hair always looks amazing!!! They have a great team. I would definitely recommend this place. They've also done my extensions here & up-dos for several occasions & I've always been very happy. read more

A few weeks ago a stylist here named Brigette gave me the worst haircut of my life. I told her that I didn't like a lot of layers, and she said OK. She proceeded to give me a 2-level haircut, where to top level of my hair is cut about at my ears, and the lower level is at my shoulders. It looks awful. My husband knew a woman who was standing on the subway platform a few years ago when a crazy person ran up to her with scissors and chopped off a chunk of her hair - this is what my hair looks like, like a crazy hobo chopped at it. Every morning when I blow dry my hair I feel like crying. The top layer is so short, it will take forever to grow out this huge mistake. I'm going to be wearing a ponytail for the whole next year. :( I will NEVER go to this salon again, and I would advise you not to go either. read more

What you would expect at a women's hair salon in Larchmont, friendly atmosphere, music, chatty customers etc. Staff was extremely friendly and I received a pretty great hair cut. Floor was a tad dirty but I only really noticed because I was staring at it for most of the time. Best thing was that I got 15 percent off cause it was my first time! read more

I have been going to Salon Elle for years now. Never had a bad experience, in fact I look forward to going there- it brightens up my day. All of the stylists are extremely talented and I get non stop compliments on my highlights. Everyone is beyond friendly and extremely helpful from the moment you walk in door. I have relocated to Norwalk, CT and continue to take the trip to Larchmont for every hair need. HIGHLY recommend Salon Elle to anybody and everybody!! read more

I've been coming to Salon Elle since they opened. Every time I have come they have service with a smile and it has been an overall great experience. They always try to accommodate my schedule. It is a pleasant experience from the moment you step in. They treat every customer here with respect. They take time to consult with me about what I want to do or change about my hair and I know that if something goes wrong they will let me come in the next day to fix it (but thankfully every experience has been great). The owners are two hard-working women and everyone they hire is great! Both Lisas are amazing with haircuts and color and Bridget is great at giving me a blow-out and straightening my hair and up-dos! Great place to hair-cut, color and styling! read more

Great salon, come here myself and even for my kids as the stylists are super nice and patient.

I moved from NYC 3 years ago and hated leaving my stylist there! With naturally curly hair and some fierce cow licks, I am a tall order. I tried 2 other Larchmont salons, both which offered poor service with a lot of attitude. Then finally- Salon Elle and Bridget!!! Over the past 2 1/2 years she has provided me with top notch service. She helped me grow out my hair from a previous bad cut. She then gave me a gorgeous keratin treatment. After 5 months, I decided I wanted my natural curls back AND bangs- Done! She also does my color, which she maintained beautifully with a non permanent treatment while I was pregnant. I always leave feeling much better than when I walked in. She also happens to be a total sweetheart . Everyone I have dealt with there is helpful and positive, and I always see a big range of clients. read more

I live in Manhattan and have had decent experiences with hair stylists here, but I choose to travel to Salon Elle in Larchmont now - just so I can have my hair cut and colored by Bridget. I followed Bridget from Manhattan because she is a true stylist. Hair styling, cutting, coloring - it's like art to her. She always knows what will look best and genuinely enjoys making others feel beautiful. Her positive energy is infectious, which is another plus! I haven't tried the other stylists there as I'm hooked on Bridget, but the clients all seemed happy when I've been there. The Salon itself is clean and lively - everyone working there is very welcoming and friendly (not easy I'm sure when dealing with often fussy women and their hair!). I like that the Salon is not too far from the station ($5 taxi ride). read more

This is a long over due shout out to all my friends at Salon Elle. I have been seeing Debby for more years than I can remember and have never been disappointed. And it is not just myself - my daughter, son and husband are all huge fans and loyal clients. Be it a cut, color, blowout or styling for a special occasion - they do it all flawlessly in a warm and friendly environment. I always feel like a new person after I visit the salon. Love you guys!! read more

Bridget was a no show for my appointment to have my hair styled FOR MY WEDDING. I had been to Salon Elle before to get highlights, and had requested someone who could also consult on bridal updos for my upcoming wedding. Bridget did my highlights and they came out well (although the price was much more than they had originally quoted me on the phone). We also discussed wedding hair looks and reviewed some photos. At the end of the appointment, I stood at the front desk with her and the receptionist and scheduled the appointment for the morning of my wedding. We had to make the appointment early, because I told them I had to leave the salon by 10am. Done. Fast forward to the morning of my wedding. I show up, and no Bridget. One of the other stylists says "I'm sure she's coming." 9:15 and still no Bridget. They call her and she says she had no idea about the appointment and could get to the salon in half an hour, which is basically when I needed to leave by. At this point I start sobbing. The three employees there did nothing to comfort me and offered absolutely NO assistance. They ignored me until I left. NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY. I frantically called other salons in the area and Donna at Total Image Hair Salon in New Rochelle immediately said "Don't cry. I'm working on someone now, but come here and we'll do the best we can before 10." I rushed there and her client was super nice about letting me jump in so Donna could whip up my hair and have me out the door in 30 minutes. Some people have a heart, but they don't work at Salon Elle. read more

A few weeks ago a stylist names Bridget completely messed up my keratin. When I called to complain and try to get it fixed the manager/salon owner never contacted me and had the stylist call back. Not only was she rude she could not fix me in with ANYONE for over a week which I do not believe as I have gone there before and barely needed an appointment. I will never let them touch my hair again. read more

Follow up. The owner posted that she would like to fix my hair. I followed up and left several calls for her. No response. So not only did i get a bad haircut ,but the owner did not follow through to correct it. In this day and age when the competition is fierce, you would expect excellent customer service. read more

I came upon salon Elle in my Groupons. I tried a three pack of conditioning treatments. We just came back from two weeks in Puerto Rico and my hair looked like straw. They set me up with Bridget, who had just started there. When the treatment was over, I was floored, I got my "mane" back!!! I've been there now for two and a half years and have bought their 10 pack blowout packages four times now. For over 30 years I've been to salons from Manhattan to a very well known colorist in Mt. Kisco. Let's just say that Bridget is THE BEST. she offers suggestions, will do whatever I ask, and now colors and highlights my hair, as well as weekly blowouts and haircuts. Plus, she thoroughly explains the treatments, what they do, etc. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her. Being in her chair is like a mini vacation. She is beautiful, has amazing hair and is the sweetest, loveliest person you will ever meet. For a woman who is almost 60, I have people on the street, in church, on the metro train, in the gym and the market always come up to me and firstly, say how beautiful my hair is, they love the color and cut. Then they ask where I go and I happily tell them, "Salon Elle". The salon is conveniently located in Larchmont! has a large and free parking lot. It was recently redone and looks beautiful. Very elegant in tasteful shades of grey and zen like. The two owners, both named Lisa, are lovely as well. The staff always greets you, offers you a refreshment and makes for a very nice experience. Thank you Bridget, for all your amazing work and making me known as, "the gal with the great hair"! read more

Being in my 20s, i have experimented A LOT with my hair. I've gone to a couple of different places and none of them really managed to get it right. Maureen at salon elle gave me an AMAZING color and cut. I came in with a picture i had shown to my previous hair stylist who wound up doing the complete opposite. When i showed maureen the exact same picture, she told me exactly how she was going to do it. Greatest part is she used absolutely no bleach on my hair! I was going from brown to blonde and would never do it if i needed bleach. Maureen worked so tediously on my hair. Making sure every piece came out exactly as i wanted. 3 hours later, i looked exactly like the picture with a couple of really awesome twists on it thanks to Maureen! I would much rather sit in a chair for 3 hours and have it done exactly the way i want then have it botched just to sit there half the time. I highly recommend this salon to everyone! read more

My hair colorist and stylist moved too far away for me to continue going to her. I went to a number of local places that were okay but I wasn't feeling satisfied. I ran into Bridget thru a mutual friend. I had no idea she was a colorist and stylist. I randomly started talking about my situation and that I was really concerned as I have my wedding coming up in a few months. Bridget didn't try to sell me on her or coming to Salon Elle. Instead she offered me great advice as I wasn't liking the color and needed to try to grow my hair out to have it longer to work with for my wedding. We spoke on two different occasions and I suddenly realized I was getting much better advice from Bridget than the person who was doing my hair at the time. I decided to see what Bridget might do. I LOVE my color. Best it's been in years. We discussed it and she completely understood what I was looking for and mixed up the perfect formula. With regard to growing out my hair, ever since Bridget has been cutting my hair it's growing and it looks great even though it's in that awful in between stage that you go through. I have never had so many compliments. Bridget is doing my hair on my wedding day as well as my matron of honor. I am so happy we are working together. There are so many thing you have to worry about for your wedding and knowing Bridget is doing my hair has removed that item off the list. I recommend Bridget 100%. Not only is she good at her craft, but she's also one of the nicest people you will ever meet! read more

My first time at this Salon and I cant believe the poor service and the horror I had to endure. First, I scheduled to do a fill in and pedicure and they didn't tell me they don't do fill-in until i got there. Second, the girl that was doing my pedicure her name is Maricel didn't understand any English when I told her she was hurting me and cutting deep into my toe nail causing it to bleed. I ended up going to the foot doctor and told me I have an infection...the doctor prescribed antibiotics to kill the infection. I should of known better the area was not clean and I noticed there was no sanitizer for the tools she was using. When i asked for her license she became irate and was swearing at me in her language, as if i didn't understand!! I would not recommend to anyone this salon... but no worries they have already been reported. I cant imagine what they would have done to my hair, I would never go there again. My first and last time in Salon Elle and WHAT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!!!! read more
