Made a same day appointment via email with Tony the owner. He quoted me $60-$75 for haircut and blowdry depending on length, texture and density. I was charged $75 but it seemed the staff were unsure what to charge until I told them what I was quoted. Ina washed my hair and did my blow dry. She did a very nice job. She was super sweet. Sally did my haircut and was nice too. I was in and out in just under an hour. The styling added lots of volume to my hair and it's the perfect length for my needs. It could be more clear on the website that if you park in the back lot on Phillips Park Rd, you have to go inside the building, go up steps, and exit to street level, make a right and the salon is right there. I totally didn't realize I had to go upstairs and outside to access the place when coming from the back parking lot. Also, it's a bit inconvenient that they don't take card, only cash or Zelle and tips in cash only...but solid haircut and convenient location so can't complain too much! read more

Romina was wonderful! She did a fabulous job on my highlights and gave me a great discount that the salon offers new customers. read more

Scheduled a 1PM apt with Zuily. Showed up at 1PM and she was washing another woman's hair and told me it was ok. I said is not ok. I have a 1PM appt with you You told me that you have a 1:45PM appt with another person and I do not want to be rushed. Again, Zuily says it is OK. Well, it is no OK with me to me rushed! Do not go got this unprofessional, non-adult irresponsible accountable business unless you want to be jerked around. By the way I am an excellent tipper (25% tip last time and this was for a haircut only) and she knows it - but treated me like crap any way. Maybe it is because I am a mannered professional and she thinks this quality means stupidity!! Of course I left and will NEVER return! read more

Great experience. First time having a male cut my hair. I have long thick curly hair. Anthony did a great job and gave me the cut I asked for. Making an appointment was easy. Parking in the back was convenient. Nice salon inside as well. Clean and organized. read more

I had a wonderful experience today at the Salon. I had the keratin hair straightening process on my hair and I LOVE it. She was very professional and patient. My hair rests just below my shoulders so I paid $135, which I thought was very reasonable. I also had a haircut for $30 for just a straight cut in the back and an angled-shape in the front. I emailed for an appointment and got an immediate reply. My entire experience was super positive. Plus, there's a huge private parking lot in the back, so that's an added luxury. I'm going back to get color and highlights in 2 weeks. read more

I just went to this place, I was happy to see there were open and followed all covid guidelines. Andrea is great on doing wash and blow dries. I've been coming to this place for a few years now and I was happy to go back read more

The owner did not listen to my request and my hair looks awful. I went in for a simple cut and wanted to also donate 9 inches of my hair (something I've done twice before in my life). He did not listen to me when I asked for him to separate it into sections to maintain as much length as possible. He then argued that I had layers, so I should cut more for the donation and I said, "I don't care about the layers, I only want 9 inches from the longest section. I want to maintain as much length as possible." He then hacked my hair off. The ponytail he cut measures 14 inches! Additionally, because he hacked it off in one cut, it was extremely uneven and as 2-3 inch pieces continued to fall on the ground, I stated, "It seems like you are making it really short, please don't cut it shorter." He answered, "I'm just making it even." I went from hair that hit the small of my lower back to hair I can barely put in a ponytail. This was the longest my hair has ever been prior to donating it, and the shortest after donation. I am devastated and all I can do it wait months for it to grow back. The worst part is I paid through a voucher in advance, so when I complained at the end of the service, I could not even argue to not pay. Despite expressing extreme frustration and disappointment with my service, the owner argued with me, again about the layers not being long enough for a donation and finally just said sorry. No refund, no follow up email/call... nothing. Complete lack of customer service and concern for the customer's satisfaction. read more

Natural Motion Salon - When I asked to have 9 inches cut off, Anthony HACKED off 14 inches... and proceeded to cut an additional 2-3 to "make it even". I'm so sad. - Hair Salons Near Me - Mamaroneck, New York

I had a great experience at Natural Motion salon. I wanted a trim for my hair. Usually when I ask for a trim the stylist goes to town and takes off way more than I asked. In this case Cherly listened really well to what I wanted and gave me the exact cut that I hoped for. Anthony the owner was there to answer questions and to make sure that I was pleased with my experience. The other huge plus was that the pricing was very fair and it was a great price for the overall experience. I will definitely be going back! read more

I got highlights done with Andrea. Not only was she fast (even though that wasn't necessarily my priority; just a perk), but my hair looked amazing. She is sweet and listens to what you want. Their prices are reasonable and I even sent my mom there for a haircut with Andrea. She loved the haircut. I would recommend her any day! read more

Excellent experience, Cherly did my Keratin treatment, she explained everything she was doing and what to expect after the treatment. Also gave me post treatment instructions on how to take care of my hair and what products I should use to prolong the treatment. She was very friendly and professional. My hair is still silky and shiny and best of all... no frizzy. Anthony the Owner is a sweetheart, the salon is very nice and clean. I will be back, I highly recommend them. read more

The owner ( Anthony) and Andrea were professional. Andrea did my roots. She is a great colorist. She blew out my hair never used a flat iron. I was very happy with the service. More importantly my hair looked fabulous. She made the best cafe latte too;) Sad to read about previous negative reviews. read more

Forgot to add that upon begging Groupon to give me credit for this place, they did! I went elsewhere and was very happy with the end result.

I had high hopes for this salon being that my mom had a keratin treatment here and had a good experience. I scheduled an appointment for an Olaplex treatment and blow out. I want to start by saying that I have 3b hair type. The wash was okay even though she had trouble combing the conditioner through my hair. The blow out was poorly done. She obviously was not familiar with my hair type and I felt my hair looked worst then when I came in. I had frizzy rough roots and puffy hair and upon getting to my car I had an issue putting a comb through my hair. I was so very disappointed. The front and back of my hair (edges) looked gross. read more

Natural Motion has been my staple hair salon for my entire life...I've never wanted to go anywhere else! Everyone is always friendly as well as professional. They not only do amazing cuts but their color work is superior! I have been dying my hair for 15 years now and I get asked at least once a day if not more, where I got my hair done! I am constantly referring them because they are that good. I will continue going there for as long as I have hair! And thanks to them I will NEVER go gray! ;-) read more

My whole family has been going to Natural Motion for more than 2 years now, and we all love it! The owner Anthony is my 16 year old son's hairstylist. He is so patient and accommodating to my son's requests. My son used to hate haircuts but now he asks for Anthony every 8-10 weeks to cut his hair! Iris cuts my husband and my 12 year old son's hair, and they absolutely likes her work and smile! We are so happy to have found this wonderful hair salon nearby. Thank you! read more

Friendly service, convenient location and an excellent cappuccino! Silvia is amazing, does such a great job with color and blow dry.

This place is horrible. Very rude people, who are definitely not customer friendly. Not ready to open due to Pandemic!

I did not get my hair blowout here due to poor customer service. I bought Groupon on a Tuesday and contacted them that day to schedule anytime Friday. They said no only Monday and sent me the fine print which says they can only accommodate as soon as possible. I explained I had an event Friday evening and could come as early as they open and they wouldn't even try to accommodate me- they just sent me the fine print via email and asked if I had read it! Not a nice way to treat a new customer, so I cancelled. read more

Do not go to this salon if you want highlights or any type of color. They have no idea what they are doing. They put lines in my hair and left the highlights on way too long so the color was so messed up. Staff is friendly but don't know what they are doing when it comes to hair. read more

I purchased a LivingSocial deal for this salon, and it was my first visit. I was able to schedule the appointment for the following morning (woohoo). There is a free parking lot behind the salon. The salon was very clean and bright, and I was offered coffee or tea when I walked in. The stylist who took my appointment was Rosann. She listened to what I wanted, went above and beyond (even gave me a free ombre consult - she actually bleached some pieces of the hair she cut off to give me an idea of what it would take to get the ombre look on my jet black, non-virgin hair). I was very satisfied - the LivingSocial deal was well worth the money, and I would definitely return. read more

Don't do it. Bought a groupon and they wouldn't allow me to make an appointment whenever I mentioned I had a groupon. They cancelled my first appointment that i had then each time I called to make another appointment and mentioned the groupon they never seemed to have an opening. After 6 attempts, I got an appointment without mentioning I had a groupon, right after I called saying I had a groupon and they told me there weren't any openings. When I presented my groupon at the end Anthony, the manager, called to speak with me privately in the back and yelled at me in front of other customers that they didn't have time for a groupon. Rude and disrespectful. read more
