Made a same day appointment via email with Tony the owner. He quoted me $60-$75 for haircut and blowdry depending on length, texture and density. I was charged $75 but it seemed the staff were unsure what to charge until I told them what I was quoted. Ina washed my hair and did my blow dry. She did a very nice job. She was super sweet. Sally did my haircut and was nice too. I was in and out in just under an hour. The styling added lots of volume to my hair and it's the perfect length for my needs. It could be more clear on the website that if you park in the back lot on Phillips Park Rd, you have to go inside the building, go up steps, and exit to street level, make a right and the salon is right there. I totally didn't realize I had to go upstairs and outside to access the place when coming from the back parking lot. Also, it's a bit inconvenient that they don't take card, only cash or Zelle and tips in cash only...but solid haircut and convenient location so can't complain too much! read more

Scheduled a 1PM apt with Zuily. Showed up at 1PM and she was washing another woman's hair and told me it was ok. I said is not ok. I have a 1PM appt with you You told me that you have a 1:45PM appt with another person and I do not want to be rushed. Again, Zuily says it is OK. Well, it is no OK with me to me rushed! Do not go got this unprofessional, non-adult irresponsible accountable business unless you want to be jerked around. I had a wonderful experience today at the Salon. I had the keratin hair straightening process on my hair and I LOVE it. She was very professional and patient. My hair rests just below my shoulders so I paid $135, which I thought was very reasonable. I also had a haircut for $30 for just a straight cut in the back and an angled-shape in the front. I emailed for an appointment and got an immediate reply. My entire experience was super positive. Plus, there's a huge private parking lot in the back, so that's an added luxury. The owner did not listen to my request and my hair looks awful. I went in for a simple cut and wanted to also donate 9 inches of my hair (something I've done twice before in my life). He did not listen to me when I asked for him to separate it into sections to maintain as much length as possible. He then argued that I had layers, so I should cut more for the donation and I said, "I don't care about the layers, I only want 9 inches from the longest section. I want to maintain as much length as possible." He then hacked my hair off. The ponytail he cut measures 14 inches! Additionally, because he hacked it off in one cut, it was extremely uneven and as 2-3 inch pieces continued to fall on the ground, I stated, "It seems like you are making it really short, please don't cut it shorter." He answered, "I'm just making it even." I went from hair that hit the small of my lower back to hair I can barely put in a ponytail. This was the longest my hair has ever been prior to donating it, and the shortest after donation. I am devastated and all I can do it wait months for it to grow back. The worst part is I paid through a voucher in advance, so when I complained at the end of the service, I could not even argue to not pay. Despite expressing extreme frustration and disappointment with my service, the owner argued with me, again about the layers not being long enough for a donation and finally just said sorry. No refund, no follow up email/call... nothing. Complete lack of customer service and concern for the customer's satisfaction. read more

Excellent experience, Cherly did my Keratin treatment, she explained everything she was doing and what to expect after the treatment. Also gave me post treatment instructions on how to take care of my hair and what products I should use to prolong the treatment. She was very friendly and professional. I had high hopes for this salon being that my mom had a keratin treatment here and had a good experience. I scheduled an appointment for an Olaplex treatment and blow out. I want to start by saying that I have 3b hair type. The wash was okay even though she had trouble combing the conditioner through my hair. The blow out was poorly done. She obviously was not familiar with my hair type and I felt my hair looked worst then when I came in. I had frizzy rough roots and puffy hair and upon getting to my car I had an issue putting a comb through my hair. I was so very disappointed. My whole family has been going to Natural Motion for more than 2 years now, and we all love it! The owner Anthony is my 16 year old son's hairstylist. He is so patient and accommodating to my son's requests. My son used to hate haircuts but now he asks for Anthony every 8-10 weeks to cut his hair! I did not get my hair blowout here due to poor customer service. I bought Groupon on a Tuesday and contacted them that day to schedule anytime Friday. They said no only Monday and sent me the fine print which says they can only accommodate as soon as possible. I explained I had an event Friday evening and could come as early as they open and they wouldn't even try to accommodate me- they just sent me the fine print via email and asked if I had read it! I purchased a LivingSocial deal for this salon, and it was my first visit. I was able to schedule the appointment for the following morning (woohoo). There is a free parking lot behind the salon. The salon was very clean and bright, and I was offered coffee or tea when I walked in. The stylist who took my appointment was Rosann. She listened to what I wanted, went above and beyond (even gave me a free ombre consult - she actually bleached some pieces of the hair she cut off to give me an idea of what it would take to get the ombre look on my jet black, non-virgin hair). Don't do it. Bought a groupon and they wouldn't allow me to make an appointment whenever I mentioned I had a groupon. They cancelled my first appointment that i had then each time I called to make another appointment and mentioned the groupon they never seemed to have an opening. After 6 attempts, I got an appointment without mentioning I had a groupon, right after I called saying I had a groupon and they told me there weren't any openings. When I presented my groupon at the end Anthony, the manager, called to speak with me privately in the back and yelled at me in front of other customers that they didn't have time for a groupon.
