Mind you, this is a 90 minute drive for me and the fact that I continuously make this trip, you know they deliver quality service. She got them installed approx a month ago and I knew I had to do it too; they are game changing! It was my first time having hair extensions, and Nikki did an amazing job. She was super professional, and made sure to explain everything: from washing and maintaining the extensions, to styling them. I have mixed feelings. I loved the place, very clean, fun, and professional. I paid 180 for a bridal trial for hair and makeup and was very happy with what they did. I was so excited I wanted to book them on the spot. I was told they can def do my wedding and would get back to me on pricing. They never did. I have left three messages, all leaving my phone number and email.. have not gotten a response. I even stopped by in person to ask for pricing and confirmation of my wedding and was told to leave my contact info. It is now over a month and I have been forced to move on to find another makeup and hair artist. I have also left two emails in that time. Mind you, getting an appointment for the bridal trial was not easy or fun either. It took two phone calls and three emails to get someone to call me back. I was patient bc I heard great things. I was happy with my trial.. but again.. with this poor communication with clients I don't understand how anyone can be expected to go back again, especially the lack of service I got after paying that price for a trial. All I needed was one follow up call or email. One. I will not be going back. Update: I found someone else who responds in a timely manner, was way more gentle with my hair and makeup, AND was priced better. Side by side photos too was a big difference. I was very excited to try this salon after driving by it all the time and seeing the great Yelp reviews. I booked an early haircut and blowout for New Year's Eve. While parking, five minutes before my appointment was scheduled, I get a phone call that my appointment had to be canceled due to a medical emergency of a stylist. Since I was already at the salon I went in, almost breaking my ankle from the ice outside their door, to talk to the receptionist. Understanding that this way unplanned and emergencies happen I told the receptionist that I had a two hour time frame before I left for my trip and asked if they could squeeze me in. Having it be a Sunday and New Years Eve I knew it would be impossible to find another place to take me in my time crunch. The receptionist was not able to help me whatsoever saying they were too busy and gave me a gift card saying to come back another day. I told the receptionist I did not want to come in another day, I just wanted my hair done for New Year's Eve! I understand that emergencies happen, but I wish the salon would have been able to squeeze me in, as it caused a load of unexpected stress when it was not my fault in the first place. I also felt it was very unprofessional to inform me when I was already outside the building that my appointment had to be canceled. read more

I came here to get a blow out, i was going to dinner that night for my birthday. I really wanted to treat myself and wanted to look really good in pics, my hair actually looked good that morning and i wanted to cancel but i told myself i owed this to myself and i should splurge! I even told the girl this. I walk in for my appointment, i was greeted but nobody took my coat or gave me a robe...ok. After going back and forth with the girl (dont remember her name) i told her my hair was really fine and thin and she told me hers was too, so i had really high hopes that she would know what to do with mine, i told her what i wanted and even showed her a picture. First red flag is she didnt use ANY product, i didnt say anything, i thought she had a plan, i was hopeful. She did the blow out with me facing away from the mirror so i had no idea what i looked like. She was at it for a while but i could just tell it wasnt going to end well for me. When i was "done" before the big reveal, while she swiveled me back to the mirror she said "well, you're hair didn't want to do much today"... are you effin kidding me? i have never seen my hair look so bad. so i sat there thinking she was going to make it right, maybe plug in a curling iron or something, i was in shock, especially when she walked passed me and said "lets get you checked out". Apparently i had been dismissed. Needless to say, never again. Don't waste your time, don't waste your money. read more

i hate to even have to write this but i feel like it's only fair considering how poorly i was treated today. i had an appt this afternoon and as usual, i call and double check what i'm booked for to ensure i'm not wasting my time. it's about an hour compute for me. i am told i am only booked for a haircut and since it's with Nikki, she won't wash my hair. she only does dry cuts. i was immediately confused because i had booked a move up, color touch up & haircut. so i ask why i'm not booked anymore and i was told that they "didn't have time today" & can fit me in next week. so i agree for next week to make sure i'm provided all the services i booked. not even 15 minutes later i get a confirmation email saying my appt for today and next wednesday has been cancelled and i have been charged $152.00. i have been coming to Blush n' Blow for almost 2 years and never would've thought this would happen. when i called to ask what had happened, they said it's the "policy". i said even if i rescheduled the appt and Nikki told me "yes". very poor communication and absolutely no empathy on what they just did to me. wrongfully charged me for canceling because they "didn't have time" what haircuts don't come with a wash??? this is the ONLY place i've ever heard that from. anyway ladies, save your $$$ and find somewhere that actually CARES! read more

DO NOT BOOK AN APPOINTMENT HERE. I made an appointment well in advance of my event (I needed my makeup done for my engagement photoshoot). I received a confirmation email, a follow up confirmation email before my appointment asking me to confirm my appointment (which I did) and 2 confirmation text messages. I even called the salon to ask if they could give me a blow out before my makeup appointment. The receptionist put me on hold while she asked her manager and then let me know that her manager responded that they only did makeup appointments on Tuesday so they could not accommodate a blow out but my appointment was still scheduled as planned for makeup with Nikki. Great. So I show up to my appointment and lo and behold the salon is closed. After frantically calling the salon and emailing I finally give up and book another makeup artist by some miracle last minute (De Cara Makeup by Ashley at Salon Posh, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!). I then get an email response that they're so sorry for the inconvenience and they can offer me a "discount" on their services for next time. What the owner should have done is had the decency to call me to apologize instead of offering me a lousy discount. You have my number right? I had to enter it several times along with my credit card to reserve an appointment. But you can't be bothered to call? Cool. I've never experienced such unprofessionalism and now know not to deal with this mediocre salon. If you're looking for a makeup artist, find a salon that actually respects their appointments and cares about their clients. There are hundreds of other great salons in Westchester that actually honor their appointments. This wasn't for some random event this was for my engagement photo shoot - as a result I just barely made my shoot on time and was super stressed out about having to find a new makeup artist literally at the last minute. Their online booking system clearly doesn't work, they don't check their confirmed appointments, and they blamed their receptionist instead of just taking responsibility for the multiple check points that don't work at this salon. Probably the worst salon experience ever... The stylist has nails so long that she only sticks them in your scalp instead of washing your hair properly. After that she applied conditionner without asking if I wanted it or not and when I sat on the chair for the blow dry she started using a hairbrush that was so full of hair from previous clients that you could not even see the bristles. GROSS!! That was it! I had to leave because of the lack of hygiene, so with my hair soaking wet I went home to wash my hair again and style it myself!! Also the stylist had an attitude as soon as I walked in the salon, telling me to go sit down because she needed to go to the bathroom!!! REALLY?? do I need to know that ?? never introduced herself and never a smile, had to ask her what her name was.. think it was Lex but not even sure at this point. I have traveled the world and been in the best salons, my mistake was thinking that I could go to a small local place for a simple wash and blow dry.. Oh and by the way they also asked me for my credit card info to book the appointment!!! INCREDIBLE for a blow dry! They have no sense of customer service or basic hygiene, and were not even apologetic when I said I had to leave. Very unprofessional. read more
