I would absolutely not recommend going to GLOW right before your wedding -- especially without a trial. I was rushed in and out of the Greenwich location like I was a last-minute add-on, not a bride days away from walking down the aisle. I was assured that the tan would be flawless and a light, natural glow -- exactly what I asked for. What I got was the exact opposite: a streaky, orange mess that looked anything but bridal. The spray tan artist told me she had "four years of experience" and that I'd be thrilled with the result -- right before hurrying me out to get to her next appointment. My knuckles and hands? Burnt orange. I spent hours scrubbing them in a panic, trying not to look like an Oompa Loompa in my wedding photos. I had to literally use a Brillo pad & dish soap The tan was patchy, uneven, and frankly, awful. Thank God for my gown being long sleeves -- but even with that, I still looked orange underneath and mg dress was entirely backless. I've had better results from a Mystic booth unfortunately To be fair, I do have friends who've had good experiences at GLOW -- so maybe this was more about the individual technician and the fact she was clearly rushing or didn't see the concern in this being my bridal spray tan, But the reality is, getting a bad spray tan two days before your wedding should have been taken more seriously. I went in for an express spray tan. The woman spraying me was quite rude. Once the tan set for a few hours, i saw all of the spots that were missed. My left knee was not tanned at all, my forearm looked like an abstract art project. While the color was great, it was a very inconsistent tan. I would've been better off self-tanning at home. read more

Came here before a vacation since I can't do tanning beds or tan in the sun anymore (recently had a severely atypical mole removed on my back and had stitches in and everything) I still wanted a nice tan for my pictures and not feel bad about being in the shade on the beach. I found them on Instagram, and showed the spray tan artist what I wanted... but she said it was too dark especially since I am extremely fair and she knew what would look the best for me. I trusted her, and went with a medium tone. The tan lasted the whole trip and looked great in pictures. I don't recommend going into the pool with it because it will literally strip it all off...the beach is a better bet for having it last. Can't wait to come back for another occasion! read more

This was my first visit to GLOW and was a spur of the moment decision before a two week vacation. My pasty white skin doesn't tan, it burns. Michelle was very welcoming and took me as a walk-in. The process was simple and fun, and because I followed instructions, I had a nice, natural looking "glow" before my trip. I loved that the color was even, all-over (to the extent you are uncovered during the spray) and pretty long lasting. It survived about 6 days of beach, pool, hot tub and showers. Note, GLOW is not a sunblock, you still have to be careful in the sun if you are prone to burn. This will be my go-to before any event where I need some nice natural color. Glow offers by far the best spray tan in the area! I recently moved to CT and still drive to Rye Brook for their tans. The staff is so nice and professional. The place itself is clean and decorated beautifully. Prices are fair, especially for the amazing quality of their service. The tan itself is perfect and they make an effort to give you a shade that's best for your skin tone. It also lasts a while and fades so evenly when you follow their instructions. I had my first custom airbrush tan at Glow Rye Brook recently. The girl tanning me made me feel really comfortable. The tan didn't smell like others I've had and I loved the result! I have pale/pinky sort of a skin tone so I got a medium level tan and it was perfect. It looked very natural. I think I will try the dark during the summer! read more

Excellent spray tan experience! I went with the Glow and Go (Express spray tan) in which you can wash off in 2.5 hours for a light tan (3 hours for medium, 4 hours for dark) and so I washed off between 2-2.5 hours to ensure my tan was natural. The first 24 hours I still felt it was pretty dark but 2 days after the spray tan, I had my event and it looked great ! I will definitely go back but if it's your first time you should look up instructions on their website. read more

I really like glow but I got a tan right before prom and under my right arm is a mess. It's really dark in one spot and completely pale in the other. I am thankful that it's just under my arm so I can cover it because prom is tomorrow. I love glow but from now on I will only go to Samantha or Jen for a tan. read more

I think I went to Glow on a bad day. I arrived at about 12:40 for a 1 o'clock appointment. No one was in the waiting area but I heard a man and a woman speaking in another room. I waited for about ten minutes and finally the woman must have heard me moving around the waiting area. She yelled out "hello." I responded with my own "hello." She came out and asked if she could help me. I said I was a little early for an appointment. She asked if the appointment was at 1, I said yes, she then asked if I could wait a few minutes. I said that was fine and waited until about 1:05. The guy left and the girl came out and asked me to go into the spray room with her. I explained it was my first time ever spray tanning. She asked me to take my clothes off and said most men stay in shorts for the spray tan. She left the room. After a few minutes she came back and began the spray process. She never moved my shorts nor did she ask me to move my shorts. I was spray tanned from waist up and knees down. From my knees to my waist has no color at all. She seemed very disinterested in spraying me. After finishing she dried me but didn't give me any post care instructions. I walked out feeling really dissatisfied with the customer experience, especially after reading all of the reviews on Yelp. Based on this experience I absolutely would not go back or refer anyone to Glow. read more
