I first came across this salon when a friend and I were checking out salons for her upcoming wedding. From the minute we walked through the front door, the energy was just so vibrant. Everyone was so friendly and kind and it didn't take long to figure out that Gisele cares a great deal about not only her craft but the customers overall experience. My friend and I left the salon feeling content because there was just something about Gisele's salon that stood out from the many salons we visited that day. The next day my friend told me that she decided to go with Gisele's and I wasn't surprised because we both knew that the bride and her bridesmaids will be taken care of and happy with their wedding day looks. A month later I took my mom to get a cut and color and both Gisele and her staff treated us as if we were family. I almost forgot that I was at a salon it felt like I was at a relatives house. My mom loved her new do and is already talking about visiting soon. I myself will be paying the salon a visit pretty soon. I have known Gisele for years, and while I didn't know she was a hairdresser until recently, I will never go anywhere else for a haircut again! As soon as you walk in you feel at home. With the warm yellow walls, bright natural light filling the space from floor, to ceiling windows, and warm natures of all the women that work there -- makes you never want to leave! When I walked in I had almost waist length hair and I showed a couple of pictures of short hair because I was ready for a change -- Gisele looked once and had it down. She razor cut my hair which means it was cut all without scissors, and she cut off over 8 INCHES with this method and I've never had a better haircut IN. MY. LIFE!!! She listens to what you want, and takes direction amazingly while still instilling her expertise and craftsmanship perfectly. She knows what to do without being pushy, and you'll walk away feeling like a million bucks. I can't recommend her more, she's an amazingly sweet and kind, and vivacious woman, who is amazing not just at cutting and styling hair, but is someone who you can really connect with. Definitely go! I am so happy a friend recommended Gisele to me! Not only is she in my neighborhood (convenient), she also understands my Hispanic curly hair. Because my hair type can frizz if badly cut, I am very picky about my hair stylist. I have been a client now for three years and have never left disappointed. She cuts it the perfect length and styles it so it doesn't frizz or require high-maintenance. Gisele is an artist at work when doing my low light balayage procedure to diminish gray hair. She is very precise and patient giving me a soft, natural result that I often get compliments for. Gisele's Salon is a little gem in the village of Larchmont. I have real problem hair, very thick, dry and frizzy. There have been very few stylists over the years who have understood how to work with my hair. I first came to Gisele's salon in desperation about a year ago believing my over processed locks could never be returned to their former glory. I was beginning to think a short back and sides was my only solution! Gisele immediately took me in hand. She has such a beautiful warm loving presence that I immediately trusted her to do what she felt was best. She gave me the best haircut for my hair, I can now choose to wear it curly or straight and it looks great both ways. She talked to me about long term maintenance and how I could get my hair back to it natural shine and bounce. Under her continued guidance it now looks shiny and healthy again. Now people regularly compliment me on my hair and want to know who does it for me. Gisele does! and I am so happy I found her. I couldn't recommend this salon more highly. read more

My over-processed blonde hair was straw; and the length inappropriate for my age, my face shape and my professional image. Gisele took me under her gentle and oh-so-talented wing as soon as I walked in the door of her cheery, eclectically-furnished salon. She had her work cut out for her, but Gisele and her friendly and professional team put me at ease and made me feel at home (even though this was my first visit.) Something told be to put myself in Gisele's capable hands...so I gave her little direction. Long story short...I left Gisele's Salon not only feeling emotionally and spiritually nourished, but looking wonderful. And...according to my friends, looking 10 years younger! ;) I love what she did with subtle low lights and a blunt chin-length bob style that accentuates my eyes and cheekbones (versus chubby cheeks....) Super great and happy place in Larchmont. I got an amazing haircut. Gisele's is a quaint and incredible place. The staff was super! Can't describe it any differently. Gisele, the owner, is, actually there. Her and her staff create a lighthearted environment that is, infectious. My girlfriend is European and she travels from Northern NJ and, this time, I accompanied her and, as I waited, I had a happy impulse and decided to have my hair done. Great decision and great results. There were only ladies having their hair done at the time but, by the time they were finished with me, other guys started coming in. All of the guys also seemed to be long time patrons and immediately began engaging in general conversations and chats about family, and about the neighborhood. You get your own coffee here, and that was a BIG hit with me. Guys, this is the place!!! I guess, from now on, I will be travelling from Northern NJ, but, not for my girlfriend. I just moved to the area from the south where I have had the same hairdresser for at least 10 years. I was so worried about finding a good salon especially since I have decided to grow out my silver strands. Gisele is a beautiful person who made me feel loved and welcomed from our first conversation and throughout my service. She creates a wonderful environment in her salon which is evident in her staff, Andrea and Sarah (who were also so sweet and great at what they do!), and her many clients and many neighbors who just stopped by to say hello to her. She ensures every client knows they are special and is truly an artist. Growing out grey when you have brown color-treated hair isn't easy. I've tried before and gone back to color but I feel confident that with Gisele's help and some confidence and patience, I can do it gracefully. When I arrived at Gisele's for my appointment I was terrified. I have been looking for a stylist and have had many bad cuts along the way. My hair looked awful. Gisele immediately put me at ease. She could see how worried I was and she and her staff did everything they could to make me feel comfortable. I left with a beautiful haircut. I was happy and relieved. My hair is wavy and it looked fabulous. But I know a lot of places can make anything look good with a bit of styling. So the real test came after I came home and washed my hair. I had warned Gisele that with 2 young kids at home I have no time for blowdrying, curling irons or flat irons. I wash my hair at night, sleep on it, and it is how it is. I woke up this morning looking like I'd stepped out of the salon, not rolled out of bed. Now THAT is an incredible hair cut. She is as good as it gets. read more

I called different salons while I was in town taking care of my sister in Larchmont. I was looking for someone to cut her remaining hair; she lost hair due to chemotherapy. I also inquired about a scalp treatment as her skin was very dry. Murella, the hair stylist, took the time to call and consult with Gisele regarding hair products. Gisele guided her and educated us on a home remedy, i.e. olive oil. I appreciated their time and kind assistance. Murella gave my sister a great haircut and she felt immediately better. Their kindness was extraordinary and it elevated my sister's spirit. She will be back! There was a frame on the wall with the Ten Indian Commandments listed, and I couldn't help but notice # 5, "Give assistance and kindness wherever needed" and that is exactly what Gisele and Murella did! I would HIGHLY recommend Gisele's salon to anyone. I got married on May 13th and and coming there in the morning to get our hair done was the best choice I could have had. The moment I walked into the salon it felt like home with a charming personality to it.. and her and her staff were so friendly. She gave me and my bridal party (of nine!) the best treatment and gave us bagels and mimosas to celebrate. She gave me advice for the big day and you could tell she really cared about me and my well being... and her staff did an amazing job on everyone's hair!! I absolutely loved my style and felt like it was so me. To kick it off-- her friend happened to be there taking videos that day and gave us a beautiful video of us all getting ready. I've been going to Gisele's for almost 2 years. I floated around from salon to salon in the surrounding towns, never able to find someplace I liked. I saw someone at the train station who's hair looked fabulous and asked where she went for color and highlights. She told me I MUST go to Gisele's. She was right, I've been going ever since and will keep going! Gisele listens to what you tell her to do, but she's creative and coaxes you to try things you may never have thought of doing. She does this in a way that you have to trust her! She is a kind and generous human being on top of her talent with hair. I absolutely love Gisele! There was not a moment where there was awkward silence like with other hair stylists. She's funny, kind, motherly, down to earth, motivational and does her best to make you feel welcome (gave me a lolipop and twizzler while she did my hair). I loved her stories and learned a lot from her stories from when she came to america. I gave her a picture for an example of what I wanted for my hair and she did beyond what I expected! I have been going to Gisele's for just over a year now and couldn't be more pleased. She is as skilled and up to date as any salon I used in NYC -- perhaps more so -- but the experience at Gisele's is far better. She is caring and considerate of every customer, she really listens and understands what you're aiming for. She gives honest advice and feedback, but respects your comfort zone. Gisele, the owner of Gisele's salon is a life saver! On two occasions I"ve called and with little to no advance notice she's managed to fit me in to her schedule, salvage/fix my color and give me a haircut comparable to any NYC salon. The atmosphere of the salon is like old home week. Friends and other local merchants stop by to say hello, have a cup of tea, or sit down for a quick trim. Finally, the prices are much more reasonable than many salons in the area. When I fist moved to this area I'd take the train into the city to get my haircut. No need to now. The owner herself is very kind, lovely woman with style and flare .....she knows how to make you feel and look beautiful. Like a magician she turned my dried, bristled hair into a soft halo..... A rare talent in Larchmont: yesterday, after admiring a friend's short haircut and asking her where she got it, I had my first but certainly not last visit to Gisele's Salon in Larchmont. Gisele listened to me carefully, looked at my hair closely, then set to work. The result? Giselle is a magnificent hair stylist. You can show her any style from a magazine and she will make it work for your hair type and face shape. She is the stylist to go to for a short haircut. I get my short cuts from Giselle. Each time, the cut has flow, attitude, sophistication and I leave the salon feeling like a million bucks. I am a devoted customer.
