I went to the salon to get my sons first hair cut. It was a memorable moment for us. The hair stylist was in rush. I asked her to wait for my husband for 5 min, as he was on his way. However, she is like - 'I have an appointment in 15 mins and cannot wait. Also if your son will not be still I won't be able to cut his hair. ' How will a 1-yr old sit like a 10-yr old? My son was unexpectedly good, still she kept saying - 'He is moving a lot and I cannot cut his hair any further'. I just had the most amazing salon experience, thanks to Mia. Today was my first time at Salon Dolcetto and when making my appt, I asked for someone good with dark hair. As I was waiting in the waiting rea, I watched another client getting ready to leave and saw from her expression that she just had her best haircut/color ever (it looked great) and her husband thanked the stylist for "giving [him] a new wife." I hoped I would get the same stylist, and I did! I was so indecisive about the color and cut that I wanted but Mia took the time to talk through options , getting to know me, and offering some suggestions. I could tell immediately that she knew what she was doing and put all my trust in her (which I normally dont do during my first visit). Anyway, she did balayage highlights and gave me a fresh style/cut. She even curled my hair for me because she knew I liked it but was never able to do it myself. She was so thorough, yet quick. Her passion for her work was so obvious. I truly felt that my hair was a masterpiece. I LOVED my cut/color. But the expression from my husband was even better! I had my hair cut here about 8-9 times and went twice for highlighting jobs. My stylist Anne was extremely professional and did a great job every time. I got loads of compliments on both the haircut and highlights, which were beautiful and very natural looking, just as I requested. If you're looking for great highlights, I strongly recommend that you make an appointment with Anne. The reason I no longer come here regularly, and why I only gave 4 stars, is because I found a cheaper hairstylist who gave me a great cut for a lower price. Salon Dolcetto isn't more expensive than most other salons -- the prices are pretty standard -- but I didn't find that the salon experience justified the cost for a standard cut. read more

Terrible Experience. I booked a blowout on line. The price on the online booking system was $40. I was charged $60. I could get over the unethical business practice if the blowout was good but I would have to rank my blowout from Anne as one of the worst. I could feel my hair ripping as she was drying it. Not a very good place to get a haircut. I went there because of the reviews, and while my hair is rather hard to cut, it has been successfully cut before. I asked for a certain length in the back, i was told it's not possible unless I shave the back. At the end, when I asked for an adjustment, I was also told that it's impossible to cut more. The prices are very reasonable, but unless your hair is really easy to cut, id try somewhere else. That being said, it's incredibly hard to find a good stylist anywhere. read more
