They have a large variety of wigs and hair products so you can get everything in one place. The service was the best. I have to admit I was scared and intimidated since I have never even looked at wigs but the people at Jay's beauty were so kind and welcoming. They helped me try on wigs and gave me some first time tips. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a far price, high quality wig experience. You don't need to go to any super expensive, fancy, uppity place. I had a great experience here and I love my first wig.

I asked someone stocking the shelves where an item could be found. I didn't bother taking a basket because I was only going to buy one item. I then picked up almost $60.00 of stuff, mostly smaller item. The person stocking the shelves was up at the cashier and told the cashier that I may have pocketed or lifted an item. I told the shelf stocker I found the items I had been looking for and paid. Not only did the cashier give me a bag that was much too small for all the items I had, but she had also a given a previous customer a larger green bag who had the same number of items, she repeatedly scanned the bag to make sure they would not trigger the alarm when I left. this indicated to me she expected me to trigger the alarm with some item I tucked away and could then say it could NOT have been an object in the paid for bag. I walked out with no alarm sounding. I believe I was being profiled and that most likely while the focus was on me there could have very well been someone else ripping off the store.

The can was brand new and full. I work out of town so I figured that I would just exchange it on my next day off. 3 days later I return to the store with the can of spray and ask to exchange it for another can, and they refuse. I gave the can to mgr, and she tried to spray it but nothing came out. I explained to her that I did not have the receipt and it was a cash purchase. I said I do not want any money, I just want what I paid for, a can that actually works. She refused. It's sad because I've been a customer there for years. I don't like how I was treated and don't think that I'll be returning there. Now I'm stuck with a full can of spray that does not work. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

We should demand appreciation and respect. ( I have been in these store, frequent by 'sister" of high quality and respect are meanly spoken). And, also but rarely hold a sales position as clerks are. It is often believed in the intellectual circles that most immigrants in their native countries before the come to America that they can have great success if they just established a business in the African Community. We must advocate for nor black business to offer this product to community And make possibe for us to respect and appreciate one another. I tried a few in trenton but they only sold black hair color weaves and didn't have much of a supply. I was so glad I stumbled upon Jay. A great store settled in a ripped up abandoned looking lot, but oh well. I was able to buy many tools and products I need, plus any color I needed in weaves. I have over the past year spent good money there, however, it was only my last most recent visit, a very professional woman with a kind of Jamaican accent gave me good service...gave me a frequent buye card and a free sample of sulfate free shampoo. Before that I was not greeted nor given any kind of recognition like that as a frequent professional customer. Didn't even get a bye or thank you...in fact, the other girls wouldn't even verbally tell me the total price, and was just I guess expecting me to just look at the register screen in front of me. So I liked her a lot. I am a white girl, and there are times I go in there and feel I am being snickered at, getting looks like, wtf is she doing here, but I dont pay attention to that. As far as the other user's review about the return policy...it is actually state LAW that hair pieces, wigs, extensions and weaving hair can NOT be refunded or returned....so the fact that they at least offer store credit is WAY beyond what any other hair store will offer you.
