I was polite at all points in a telephone conversation, trying to understand what she was saying as she spoke in 'medical code' which is difficult for me to understand as someone who has moved from he UK. Despite doing through all the details on their automated systems and on their answer machine service, I was 'barked at' requesting the same information immediately and interrupted repeatedly as I tried to explain. Communication has been non-proactive and I have been left without important medication. I stated she was speaking to me very rudely and I was just trying to understand, and things improved slightly. But this was a very sad and discouraging experience. I will be looking to move my pharmacy. There is no need to be rude ever--and especially not to someone who is being polite and kind and needing help (and who has been pingponged back and forth for 10 days over a required medication). This is very sad.

To speed things up at the pharmacy counter my favorite drugstore has installed touch-screen kiosks that check you in and send the staff scurrying after your pills and potions. So far, no problem. However, for an enterprise that has aspirations to be the nations dominant health provider, the kiosks are filthy beyond belief. I've seen more hygiene displayed in the Penn Station men's room at 11pm after an AC/DC concert or... at the Wuhan Lab for that matter. Lucky for me, CVS has a greeting card aisle so I can send myself a Get Well Soon card. Yikes. One filthy star.

Problem is, the parking lot at this store on the hellish route 1 corridor is a crowded cluster compared to the stores a bit further south. Between than and changing jobs, I can't speak to curbside here. Today's experience involved buying a hat. I'm not much of a hat guy but am heading to a yankee game tomorrow with boo (begrudgingly on her part) and a friend coming down from upstate ny. Figured I'd "cop some merch" as the kids say and they reported having a grey yankee SnapBack hat in stock. Well, they didn't. There was ONE yankee hat buried in the entire area of the sports crap. I found a classic navy blue one amidst the Phillie hats, grabbed it, and got the hell out (after paying of course). Well, upon closer inspection the hat had some damage on the back that I didn't catch in the store. It was a discoloration that wouldn't "buff out." Fortunately I caught this while still in the parking lot, and it was a breeze to go in and return it for a refund. The cashier (and line) was quick, friendly and didn't even make me swipe my credit card again to process the return. So it's a decent store. If you live/work around here you know to expect chaos. Be careful in the parking lot and on the drive to and from, and your target experience should be as decent as any other. A cut above Walmart..."always!"

Today, I did not think much of this cashier who worked at the Princeton, NJ Target store. She…read morehardly wanted to help me much with getting a price off an item. When I asked her to take the item back to the shelf to get the actual price, she did not initially want to even bring the item with her. When I finally found the price tag had stuck to my purse while this cashier was away in the aisles looking for my price, she came back with the incorrect price $45 ($15 more than my item). When I gave the price tag to her, then right in front of herself and her register, she read my item now being $30, which I told her, that was the price, I saw and another Target staff told me. This cashier did not apologize that she was wrong. Or even just to apologize for her mistake at all. I did not think much of her serving the public.

The lady was immediately confrontational and spoke to me in the most rude and disrespectful manner. She was right that my second prescription just had a different brand, but the way she spoke to me was so rude and really made the entire experience worse than it already was/needed to be. If you go to Princeton, find a different pharmacy even if it's further away.

They are very experienced with dealing with the student health plan, and have even helped me out by reminding me to fill my prescription before the caps reset. Also very pleasant to deal with, the have helped me out when I've needed a prescription filled quickly. And you can browse the U-Store while you wait!
