She was nothing but warm and professional, explaining what she was applying and how it benefits me, as well as stopping and showing me whether what she was doing was OK and if I loved it so far. The worst! Went in looking for mascara for sensitive eyes because I wear contacts (when I can), have allergies and severe dry eye so was looking for something I can use. Had to track down an employee to help me who was then visibly irritated when I asked if she worked here and could help me with my search. Explained what I was looking for, had done research before going in so thought one brand might be an option, and asked where I should look. She redirected me to some random brand and when I asked why she simply said "Well this is like the #1 seller" and when I asked does it clump or flake, will it be ok for my eyes she told me she didn't know and would have to go find someone. So not only was she annoyed to be working with a customer, she was trying to sell me something that didn't even meet my needs. I wandered off to look at a display of different mascaras and picked one up that said "flake free" (a plus for the issues I had mentioned) and was reading it as Ms. Annoyed to be Helping a Customer (white sweater that crossed in the back, black pants, black boots, hair pulled back) brought over another employee who was cheerful and happened to note the one in my hand as a good option. I had read reviews on that one as well so had picked it up. However, will probably take back to the store because I would rather purchase anywhere else besides this location. As someone who works in the beauty industry, I know products, materials, and that consumers have different need states that have to be addressed. Very poor customer service. Cashiers and workers on the floor were extremely rude and dismissive. They made our shopping experience uncomfortable and were frustrated with the simplest of questions and requests. Do yourself a favor: go to any Sephora location but this one. Staff is rude, unprofessional, lacks basic customer service skills & openly discusses (at the register in front of customers) how they are "over the day" and just want to go home. Understandable, but I shouldn't be hearing that. One girl, tall skinny black girl with a bad pink dye job, was the absolute worst. She was rude & had a nasty attitude. She walked up to help another customer & pulled out a drawer I was at without even saying excuse me. Had I not moved, she would have rammed it right into my legs. She then tells the customer they don't have a sample that they clearly do--I had to correct her. Just poor behavior. Shannon, who was greeting everyone was incredibly kind & helpful. She is the sole reason for the 1 star I gave this poorly trained location--otherwise they wldv gotten none. They need a regional manager to come out & secretly observe whats going on there. I usually love this Sephora. As a self-proclaimed lipstick & mascara addict, it's a no-brainer. Sephora's Rouge #5 is a perfect red, and I'm glad I don't have to drive to Bridgewater to get it. I like the range of staff--even if I don't agree with their choices, hey, they're having fun. I do wish Dior didn't consistently make me break out & I'm glad they sell small mascaras because Drag Queens & Jersey Shore cast are the only ones who can successfully use up a full sized tube of mascara in 3 months. The 4 instead of 5 was due to yesterday--I decided against the $25 "Give me some lip" set because I could only wear 1 of the 5 colours in the set. I told this to the rather persistent staff member, who I did not recognize. So I looked at the $59 set--I could NOW wear 15 of the 17 colours, the other 2 late winter. Some would be good for Halloween or to play with the kids. Of course, this wasn't good enough for said person: ME: OH! This set has far more colours I could use! The smaller set only has 1 usable colour for me. Pushy & questionable salesperson: Oh, you're only interested in lipsticks? M: Yes. It takes me YEARS to get through eyeliners. PQ: Well, these are really for you to try the textures and staying power, it's not really for you to actually like the colours. Ok, let's be clear: 1. I was already going to buy the set 2. I already said that I could wear most of the colours 3. Why are you putting down the products & making it sound like I don't deserve to be in a makeup store? Trust me, I have been wearing makeup longer than you've been alive & have had makeup artists, stylists, photographers help me learn how to not look like a clown. If I stick to toner, serum, oil, tinted moisturizer, silk powder, mascara, matte bronzer, and lipstick--so I look like I'm not really wearing ANY makeup, it's because that's what I feel like wearing and it takes 3 minutes, not because I don't have any idea what I'm doing or need to be told what to buy or what to wear. I love the big bald guy who works there. There's a geeky girl who found me the perfect orange lipstick (that was minimally toxic) this spring. She also found a great fuschia & sheer red for me. If I have a return, it's never a problem. There's another woman with very trendy makeup, a bit much for me, but hey, if she wants to look like a Japanese Panda Girl one day, by all means. Life is too short. Asking questions about aging skin? Harder to get. No one here is over 28. That's fine, really, as I'm really here for lipstick and mascara. But yeah, that one lady bugged me. I love the store & my kids refer to it as the makeup store. I just really hate being bugged about my choices--if I'm browsing, let me browse. If I ask for help, help me. If I've already made my decision on a product, don't be a douche. read more

I drove 35+ to go to this mall because they have Fenty beauty in their store whereas most Sephora's I've been to haven't been carrying it and I've been looking for it every time. Other than that I really wrote this post about an employee in this Sephora named Vasia. She came right up to me and offered me great help that my husband (obviously not too educates on makeup) couldn't. She was extremely polite. On top of that she was literally the most beautiful girl ever. However, what really struck me is you know those girls that are so pretty you'd think they hand out empty compliments and it goes in one of your ears and out the other because you don't believe she thinks YOU are pretty bc cmon she's too pretty to think I actually am, well she told me I was pretty but coming from her felt extremely real and so genuine. Sephora is super fun for me because of the huge selection of makeup to play with! At times I felt as if I was not receiving enough attention from the staff but eventually they came around and helped me with my make-up challenged self lol. let me start by saying that i'm a self diagnosed cosmetics addict and love sephora. it is literally my happy place but unfortunately the sephora at quakerbridge mall is absolutely awful. the products are obviously wonderful but the lack of stock of some popular items (kvd studded kiss lipstick, huda desert dusk palette, z palette) leave something to be desired. but more than anything else the reason i absolutely hate his location is the staff. they are unbelievably rude, dismissive, and condescending. had i not been gifted a sephora giftcard i would not have even bothered coming. (btw i am aware that i can use the giftcard online and am also aware that there is a sephora within the nearby jc penney but always prefer to see things in person and go to a full size store) i have been to this location several times now and keep hoping that every subsequent time will be better than the last. hasn't happened yet. i will now be doing the bulk of my cosmetic shopping at ulta and will now exclusively do any sephora shopping online or travel out of the way to get to any other sephora store within a 40 mile radius (sounds crazy, but is apparently necessary) i'm sure this review will not make a difference in the grand scheme of things but hope that it will be helpful for someone out there read more

This used to be my favorite store. Customer service has gone so far down hill in past few months. The last 3 times I visited I could not get a salesperson to help or acknowledge me. They were all engaged in conversation with each other. The products are fabulous but I know I can find most of them at other nearby retailers. It has become a very frustrating and disappointing process to get any sales support at this location. Des did an amazing job color matching my mom and I for foundation. I have been burned a couple of times with this and she really took her time to make sure we got it RIGHT. She was super nice and really knew her stuff. My mom never ever wears foundation and thanks to Des she now realizes how effortless it can look if applied correctly. read more

While Sephora is a well-regarded cosmetics chain, the Lawrenceville is a reputational scar. They refused to honor a return according to their former 90 day policy. The policy change to 60 day returns was not announced publicly, on social media, App, etc. I had purchased IN CHICAGO over a couple of days hundreds of $ of merchandise. I decided I liked some and some were cheaper on AMAZON (always check Amazon). I actually live in a part of Pennsylvania where there are no Sephoras. I made a special trip to LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ to return and the "customer service" staff could not have been more smug or rude as they gleefully declined to credit my AMEX and gave me a gift card instead. I have patronized Sephora for decades and spent substantial $ there, which they know. Still no exception to new, obscure rules for a great customer. I called several times to speak with the manager and left vm, but no return calls. Instead, April Carter, store "director" sent an email with no concern for my spending history, no apology for the geographic inconvenience or for her staff's rudeness. The appeal of being able to sample makeup and skin products before buying is probably why Sephora is so popular - plus their points rewards club gives lots of perks including a free gift on your birthday. I was in search of a good light foundation. As I walked through the aisle, no less than 3 people asked if I needed help. Finally, I thought I found a product I liked, only to be unsure if it matched my skin color. As I stood there, pondering, another staff person came over and asked if I needed help. She used an apparatus to find my foundation color, putting it against my forehead, cheek and chin area. I had no idea there was such a convenient way. When I told her I wanted it to have SPF in it, she showed me the products that were available. In the end, I got the Bobbi Brown BB cream and was very happy. I hardly buy makeup and it was a very pleasant experience with the sales person being so eager to help and friendly. read more

There a male employee ( I wish I could remember his name instead of his physical description) he is very honest and tells you without beating the bush if their products are good or not. I am only giving this sephora 5 stars because of the BOMB employee who saved my terrible experience! I wish I remembered her name :( After asking to be color matched by another employee, just to give an idea I am light to medium skin toned. This employee matched me using their IQ machine and just showed me on the ipad screen my matches walked me over the a recommended sephora foundation and handed me the bottle of a shade that was not one or two shades off but about 9 or 10 shades off from my skin color. He proceeded to tell me it looks a little crazy in the bottle but on my skin itll look great. Obviously anyone with an eye sight can tell that was not my shade he proceeded to just walk away and leave me to this terrible match. Until my saving grace of an employee who was helping my friend helped match me to the foundation I was actually interested in! She took her time and really spent time with us helping us understand and pick our correct shades! Will def look for her when i come back here!! read more

The Sephora in Quakerbridge mall is the worst. I will go out of my way just to go to a different sephora in a mall an hour away while quakerbridge is 20 minutes away. The service there is nasty and hateful. They have a very negative attitude and treat you like crap. read more

I'm not one to usually write a review, but I was really unhappy with my experience here. I wanted to start getting into using make up and I know they have a wide selection here so I came in to find a good foundation. I walked around for 15-20 minutes and no one asked if I needed help even though 2-3 employees were always standing in the corner talking. I decided to approach someone and they rudely told me they weren't available and didn't direct me to anyone else. I decided to stay a few more minutes until another employee asked if I needed help. I told him I'd like to have someone help me find a foundation and he said no problem as long as I didn't mind waiting 5 minutes for someone to open up. I don't mind waiting as long as I know someone will end up helping me, but after another 20 minutes I was just tired of waiting. And, the entire time one of the employees was talking about all the customers he had to "deal" with, loud enough for me to hear him from all areas of the store. Next time you feel the need to talk about customers to your coworkers, maybe try waiting until after you leave the store. read more

Usually I love going to Sephora, but this time was the total opposite. I went in asking for eyelashes and this kind lady showed me the lashes and asked what type I was looking for, etc.. But, when it came to applying them, the different lady was the total opposite. When I handed her the lashes, she gave me an attitude and IN FRONT OF ME talked smack about my choice of lashes. Last time I checked, it shouldn't matter what I want. So as she's asking other people to grab her supplies (and complaining that they got the wrong things) she talked to another coworker about how I have bad choices in lashes, how they suck, etc.. And the worst part, she didn't apply them on right! The inner corners were hanging off and she didn't even glue them on the lash line. For someone who loves going here, maybe I should take a break from this store. Also, if you plan to get makeup done here, make sure the person who does the makeup knows what they're doing. read more

place is awesome. Angela, my skin care specialist is amazing! She set me straight on my needs. I came to Sephora after a bad experience at Ulta, when I spoke to her about it, she helped me out big time! she squared me away with what I needed for my skin care needs. All of their staff is knowledgable and friendly too. They don't push their products on you either, and they know what it's like to be on a budget too and offer budget friendly options. They explain in detail how items works, ie: masks, false eyelashes etc., and whether you even NEED them...how awesome is that!? I will not go back to Ulta again and this is the store to go to! Their managers are knowledgable and know their products and are also helpful, they do not just walk the floors or hide in their offices. Their registers are almost always all open leaving no lines to wait in, if you want to look at the items in the line while waiting, well you are going to lose your spot in line, that is how quick the line moves! I definitely recommend this place to anyone who is into beauty products like myself. Great job Sephora...oh and they also give awesome samples...which always brings me back for more! read more
