It had been a while since I had gotten my eyebrows done but I had time let them grow in order to get them to the thickness I wanted. The worker asked me if I still wanted them thick multiple times and I said yes meaning I just want a clean up. I should've known when she immediately started threaded before brushing my eyebrow hair that it was going to be bad! After her struggling on my eyebrows for over 20 minutes she called her coworker over to help her and the coworker made them even thinner! The whole time they were doing my eyebrows they continuously told me come back in two weeks cause your eyebrows take too long to do. She said this like 6x... 1st off if you know how to do eyebrows correctly it does not take that long to do mine. The older lady that used to work here before them would be able to get my eyebrows done in 10 minutes!

My previous lash ladies would typically give me more volume even though I wanted a hybrid look and I would get so annoyed that I'd pick at my lashes. Even after wearing them continuously for years it felt like i was wearing extensions. The lashes Catly did are SO comfortable I barely even notice that they're there. Haven't gotten a fill yet so we'll see how they last and look after but so far I'm really impressed.

Waxers at nail salons aren't really the greatest, at least not the ones I've been to. They use waxing strips and the wax is always too hot and I end up with a straight-up rash on my eyebrows after. I've also been to some of the other dedicated wax salons and they really don't do a great job on my eyebrows either. I think they are only wanting to do more waxing like legs or bikini area. So when I visit and just want the brows done, it's almost like they are annoyed that I'm there and only getting a small service done because my appointment could have gone to someone wanting more waxing done, which would be more money for them. So I finally tried Waxxdaat and I'm happy that I did. I do not get that bad vibe from this place at all. I've been there a few times now and I always set my appointment up with Cola. She's been better than all of the other waxers I've tried in the area. I never have to wait long to get called back to her room, the wax is never overly hot, and she doesn't use waxing strips. My brows always look amazing and shaped just like I want them. The conversation is always pleasant and nice, she seems genuinely interested in what I've been up to since the previous appointment. The girls at the reception desk have always been really nice too. Overall it's been a great experience.

If that was all I had to say, my review would have a higher rating. However, I didn't feel like there was a high level of sanitation going on here. The little room we were in was very dimly lit and put me off a little bit at first, but I decided to be brave and stick it out. The woman who did my waxing used the same strip of cloth repeatedly until it could hold no more wax and only then changed it out. I also came to find that what I thought she used as hand sanitizer was actually just oil to get the excess wax off. Not exactly what I was hoping for in my waxing experience. With that aside, I do feel that she was more thorough than my old waxing place, and I'll definitely come back because, again, the results are so much better.
