Kristen Carnes is an amazing stylist. I am always happy with the way she creates and styles my hair. Whether she is cutting, blow drying or styling my hair, you can see the passion on her face as she works. After each appointment, I ask her to take my picture so I can use it for either my profile picture or send it to my friends and family saying, "see, she did a great job again." The pictures in my Yelp account, I asked her to style it in a casual way because I had a work-out outfit on. She did an amazing job. I trust her so much with my hair, that I recommended her to my daughters. They love going to her as well. Dean Frank has been styling my hair for the last few years. He is a magician with scissors, and my color is always perfect. Perfect. I have very unruly, coarse hair, and Dean recommended I try the Juvinex keratin straightening system. I was reluctant, but one week post treatment, I am amazed with my hair. It used to take an hour and 10 minutes to dry and flat iron my hair. Now, it takes 7 minutes, no product, and no flat iron. Perfectly straight hair that looks as healthy as a five year old's. A few important points of reference: (1) I go only to top-notch salons, even though I have to pay a little bit more; (2) I have fired almost every beautician in Cincinnati. I ended up coming the Jim Brofft because I decided I wanted a Keratin treatment and the salon I had been going to doesn't offer Keratin. I get a cut and color every 5 weeks, and a Keratin treatment about every 6 months. I see Tim, and I don't have any plans to go any place else. When selecting a beautician, the most important consideration for me is that I like the way my hair looks, and since I have been coming to Jim Brofft, I do. All I can say is. 5 STAR Phenomenal!! I have never loved my hair sooo much! I came in for a blowout because my previous stylist did my hair really poorly for the past two years and I was paying a decent amount for her services. Shame on me! So I started branching out and came across Salon Central I walked in and met with a stylist her name was Kelly and she BLEW. ME. AWAY. Literally lol. I have been a client of Jim's for about 18 years. I moved outside the country 15 years ago, but I still come back to Cincinnati as often as possible and the first place I stop is Jim's. I have had my hair ruined in nearly every major city around the globe-Paris, Cannes, London, Rome-you name it. Jim is the BEST and I would steal him away if I could. Love Love Love This Salon. Only downfall is the stylist Bethany. She is terrible. I have been to other salons she has worked and had the misfortune of getting her. After dealing with her I never went back. She has been fired from every salon she has worked and I hope Jim fires her. Her last job was great clips and washing dogs. I had a wonderful experience getting my hair cut by Kristen. I have long, thick, hard to manage hair and she worked wonders with it! I was immediately offered a drink when I walked into the urban, chic salon. Everyone there was very friendly and welcoming.
