My son, who is on the autism spectrum, is extra sensitive. For 5 years, he refused to get a professional haircut , until I found QB Salon. The hairdresser here is patient and great with kids. The ambience here is spacious, relaxing, and welcoming. It's the only place I would ever take my kids for a haircut. Thanks QB!

*Color Correction & Miracle Worker* After having a nightmare experience this past week with a reputable beauty salon in San Jose (my hair was ruined) I am so grateful for this Wonderful Stylist Goddess, HANNAH. I couldn't be happier with the result that I got! My hair was saved and needed to be corrected. I have been going to this salon since I was a young tender headed child and Hannah and Dan have always cut my hair to look amazing making sure the dead ends are cut. I recommend going here because their very careful with their work and make sure your hair will come out beautifully whether your getting color or a simple trim Salon by QB is the way to go read more

SOOOOO DISSAPPINTED !!!! My hair was almost past my back and he left it almost on my shoulders DO NOT GO HERE . HE CHOPPED OFF ALMOST 9 inches . i'm so mad especially because i take care of my hair si much ! do not trust this place at ALLLLL . plus he charged me $85 dollars for something i didn't even ask for ! they should take consideration in the customers say . instead they do whatever they want . read more

Its been a while since I last gotten my hair cut here but I was around the area and wanted to get a cut. I Yelp for salon within the area and found this within my radius. Did a walk in and ask if they do walk in or by appointment. The lady name was Hannah and she was the only person doing everything. I suggest scheduling an appointment before attempting to do a walk in as you won't be able to wait inside the shop. Got my fade and was quite happy with the result. read more

I found this gem in a strip mall on piedmont. Hannah & Q are really great at what they do. The prices are reasonable and the quality and service is the reason why I always keep coming back. They really take the time to discuss what you want and provide suggestions along the way. I recommend making appointments, if you can't, they do a great job of accommodating regardless. read more

I usually come in for my nails or to get my kids' hair cut but I went in for a balayage with Hannah. It's not a widely known fact that she does do hair coloring, but I knew and decided I trusted her enough to do my hair. I had virgin hair before I got it done, so I figured I can ask for ash brown balayage. She was a little skeptical at first because you just don't know how hair will take any type of processing until you actually do it. It took about 3 hours for my medium length hair and I couldn't be more happy with how it turned out. She straightened it first just to show me how it would look that way and then she curled it. I liked how it looked both ways, but curled is my favorite. She took proper care with the process as I can feel my hair isn't fried or dry after. I'm definitely a customer for life! read more

First feedback made ever. I'm just really disappointed with my son's haircut. I showed a photo of the hairstyle I wanted to look like but they ended cutting his hair too short. It doesn't even look close to the style I wanted. Didn't want to cause any drama and make my son feel bad about his haircut so I just went with it. Just wanted to let it out here and for them to consider this feedback to be better. Please make sure you clearly understand what your customers want. I also read that a few had a similar bad experience. I'm just glad my son's hair will grow back, eventually. read more

I don't like to write negative reviews but seriously don't go here. I have super curly hair and asked Michelle to jus trim it, give it a very slight V, with some long layers. Again reiterating that I wear my hair naturally curly. She continually talked over me, saying "You'll look like a queen! Beauty Queen!" She then chopped off 5 inches in one snip! ONE SNIP. I had no choice but to let her finish hacking my hair off. The owner (I think) came over and even told her that what she was doing was not going to look good on curly hair. And Michelle just sort of clucked at her and kept snipping. Then she took out a straightening iron, "Oh you don't need to do that, I wear my hair natural", "Trust me, you'll see! You will look like a queen!". And then she burned me with the straightening iron. Right on my forehead. When she tried to get me off the chair I looked at this horrible, malformed triangular bob, "Where are my layers?". "Oh! You wanted layers! I forgot!" and then puts me back in the chair. Needless to say I am really upset about this haircut. I had been growing it out for 6 months, and now I am probably going to have to go to another salon to get it re-cut. read more

I been to multiple salon for manicure and pedicure I will say that QB is in my top three. In addition they did an great job cutting my brother hair. The reason for 4 stars because my manicure/pedicure could have use more massage and an hot stone would have been amazing if they offer it. I know Queenie Salon offer different level of manicure/pedicure but QB offer free COFFEE!!!! I hoping QB improve and offer more advance manicure/pedicure in the future. I've been to almost all of the 5* waxing/threading places on Yelp and noone can do a better job than Hannah, a very sweet lady. I have spares, thin eyebrows and she still manages to make them look thick and full and of course super easy to fill them with pomade. I cant believe after a long hunt of eyebrows places l can find someone that makes me super happy with my eyebrows. She doesn't rush which is a huge plus. Overall, l'll be her loyal customer. read more

my permed hair, 5stars I've been in love with it since I've gotten it done, Hannah is amazing!!!! And so is QB When I first got my hair done by Hannah, it was for a layered cut, I don't have a lot of hair and it lacks body, so she literally spent an hour trying to perfect it and I've honestly never seen my hair so perfectly cut! Right now, I have the beach-waves look and I walk right of the shower and it dries out in the most naturally perfect beach wave way As for my facial! 4.5 stars. This is a small nail shop that's by appointment only, with only 3 employees and they are all so kind and sweet. When they say appointment only, they really mean it! They won't take last minute customers, forcing their clients with appointments to wait. There may be a wait sometimes in between clients, but that's not because they tried to squeeze someone in. They don't do that here, which I very much appreciate. It's very modern and clean and bright, which provides an even better nail experience. I get a gel builder manicure done by Lily and she's very good at it. She works quick but she's so gentle and still very attentive to detail and care. My manicures last 5+ weeks when she does them. Mia has also done my nails and she provides the same experience for me too & does hand painted designs really well. Hannah, while I haven't had the pleasure of receiving a service from her, she's still kind and chats with me anyway. These 3 ladies are great at hospitality and so kind. While they don't offer 3D designs or very intense nail art, they do their best here to give you what you want and excel with simple designs. They also offer a variety of nail charms, polishes, cat eye polishes, chrome, and more - following the latest nail trends. On top of all the good stuff I just mentioned, the pricing is fair and competitive. I never spend more than $80 here for a mani which is fantastic because at other salons, I would've been charged over $100. They don't tack on hidden fees here and they are very transparent. Overall, I think they are great and if you want a manicure done well, look no further and come visit this nail shop!

I came in for a gel x removal and called prior day to get an appointment, and I appreciated to be seated immediately. However, as the removal goes on, the nail tech continued to go super harsh with the electric nail drill even after I've stopped her a few times because my nails were hurting. She successfully removed my gel x but left my nails paper thin, bending easily and hurting whenever it faces any force. She also left harsh dips and lines on my nails that will take months to heal. I tipped 30% bc I'm not confrontational in person and my nail tech was a bit struggling with gel x removal so I felt bad. Can't speak for other services, but for gel x removal, I wouldn't recommend this business unless you want your nails to be paper thin.

I love the salon and staff. A few years ago I decided to let my grey hair grow and QB was one of two stylists I knew who were willing to take my challenge of working with the grey. I was tired of doing roots every three weeks and determined to find the right stylist. QB is walking distance from my home and the other stylist is not in San Jose. In my observation, they are responsive, respectful and sensitive to customers and me. The prices are reasonable and they do great work. We're lucky to have them in our Berryessa community. read more

QB was amazing! He made time for my extremely long hair. He not only cut my hair but colored corrected it right there and then. I was fortunate he was available. Went out of his way to accommodate me and my kids. He takes much pride in his work and he wouldn't move on until it was just right. He wanted to style it and make me look like a million bucks despite me being in my workout clothes, it was so sweet! I highly recommend this salon. They know what they're doing! Both Qb and Hannah were super patient and lovely. The bleaching and coloring took around 7 hours but they were careful in carrying out the best results. We had to stay after the closing time, but they were very kind about that. Hannah even spent extra time straightening and styling the hair. Couldn't be happier! I came here because it is near my house. Tried ombré for the first time. QB did a really good job on my hair. He made sure that the coloring process doesn't damage my hair. He listens to what I want. Hannah does excellent work. She offers services from haircuts to waxing to nails. I've been her customer for almost a year now and have never been disappointed.
