Boy, am I glad I decided to come back. I booked a 2pm appointment with Heidi. I arrived around 2 minutes early and was promptly checked in. I was also asked if I wanted a complimentary beverage, and I asked for a coffee (which ended up being amazing). I didn't wait long--I was seated for my haircut at 2:06 PM. I told Heidi what I wanted and she asked detailed questions making sure I was happy with the length on top and sides before she got started. She then proceeded to cut my hair, and had great conversation along the way. She was really easy to talk to. She shampooed my hair and styled it to make sure it was up to her own standards, which I greatly appreciated. The cut cost $30 not including gratuity. Overall, I highly recommend this salon and Heidi in particular. I will certainly be back.

Not only did Emily do an AMAZING job on my hair, but I have to say it was one of the best experiences I've ever had with a stylist. We already had a rapport due to my having already met her, but my haircut today was like hanging out with an old friend who happens to just make you look way better than you did when you came in. This salon in general is amazing. It is a little house where each room has been set up for each stylist, and it is so cozy and inviting that it makes the experience that much better. I also have to say that Emily's prices are so fair it is almost unfathomable (then again California is on the expensive side of...well, everything). She even gave me 20% off because it was my first time. For the cut, wash, style, blow dry, I walked out having spent less than $50 and in my opinion for as amazing as I looked and felt, that was a total steal. Emily gave me some great tips on how to take better care of my hair between my appointments and was in no way pushy about anything she did or anything we talked about. She made me feel so at ease considering I was SO nervous to get this haircut, and I can honestly say there's no way I will ever leave her, she's got me for life! I've attached before and after pictures and the redness and swelling have gone down dramatically over the past 24 hours. Lucky for me, The Skin-E was better than I could have expected. When I walked in, Dorri told me that she didn't mess around, and she wasn't kidding. It was a great, fast wax. I haven't had a lot of waxes, so I still get scared and flinch a lot, but Dorri kept working. She used a combination of hard and soft wax for the most efficient and least painful wax possible. While Skin-E is out of my way, I will definitely return. For anyone else looking to check it out, be aware that it's in the corner of the shopping center opposite the grocery store. There's currently not a big sign, just a banner in the window, so look for the back treatment sign. It's a little confusing, but they're working to clear it up.

However, I'm not pleased with my results. Right before she started spraying she told me she was going to give me medium color (even though I'm very fair-s) since the wedding was a few days away. Because this was my first spray tan, I trusted her to make the right call for my skin. Unfortunately, I was left with a a blotchy face, an orange color, and blotchy spots all over my feet. I'm left trying to find ways to fade my tan so I don't look silly wedding pictures. Update: I talked to a woman who worked at a different tanning salon and she said that armpits, inner forearms, and feet should not be sprayed as directly as they were on my body. These areas should be sprayed more lightly (if at all) to give a more natural look. This was not my experience here. Again, I did follow all pre and post tanning instructions on the website. Karen's response to my review makes my experience even worse and makes me question how much they prioritize customer service and satisfaction.
