I don't recommend this place. I decided to write this so that Bes provides a better service in the future. My experience was a disaster, I found it near my house and I read the reviews and it looked good but when I showed him the balayage picture that I wanted for my hair and he didn't pay attention and did the color that he wanted. I went once and paid $250 at the first and he asked me to go a second time for color correction which I paid $150 more. On both occasions, Bes was very busy, many clients arrived and he even left one of his clients without drying her hair because he was busy with others. Perhaps the work that he does is good but for trying to serve several clients his work turns out to be disastrous and the result is my hair with various colors and nothing similar to what I wanted. I definitely don't recommend or return to this place because trying to attract more customers doesn't provide a good service. read more

I love that he does everything from start to finish, my color is perfect and after looking at two different pictures I showed him which were quite different he was able to advise me on what would be best for me. I called and spoke to a sweet man who assured he could work with what I wanted (cut with layers and ombré) and would charge me a decent price with a new customer discount. I go in, he is the only one working with customers and is clearly rushing. I explain I did not want warm tones and was avoiding brassy tones and wanted blond ends with matching highlights around my face. (I assumed he understood that meant highlight size) oh and a haircut with layers (showed a pic). The results were one level hair off the shoulder, a huge thick chunk of orange/brassy highlight on one side, brassy highlights (multi tones of bronze, gold, or orange tones) with no ombré. He charged me $160! I went back the next day, he added layers which was good, he refused to work with my color due to "we can't do anything till your next visit" AKA next time you will pay and I don't work for free to try and fix your hair. Clearly I knew a simple toner would help to get rid of some brassiness plus I have super healthy hair so next day redo would of been fine. I did refuse to walk out without fixing a chunk of brassy/blond color near my face that started midway, which he did fix. He never suggested getting purple shampoo to help with the brassiness! And he's attitude changed immediately once he knew I wasn't happy.. form welcoming and funny to annoyed and in a bigger rush as he went on to say "I won't have time to dry your hair" (keep in mind my hair is now off the shoulder) interning!!! If you're getting a simple color or cut surely this place is great, but if you are specific about what you like and want a more modern style DO NOT risk it! read more

Getting my Friday night with a haircut and highlight, I would just as much rather go to the Dentist. In my experience the hour and a half in a hair stylist chair is like pulling teeth to make small talk. This was just not the case with Bes! He broke out some wine, got everyone that was in the studio talking to each other and him. He made everyone comfortable and the time flew by. My hair looked terrible though - KIDDING. It was great. I was the last of three to get done that night and everyone's hair looked amazing. He has an aesthetic eye and works with you until you are happy. I just moved to the North Dallas area so I rely heavily on Yelp for good recommendations, and y'all have come through again! I came in to Salon Bes knowing I needed a refresh of my color and a trim so I told Bes the general idea, and he asked if I was open to suggestions. I said I definitely was and he went to work. I came away with a great new color that is very close to my natural shade with a few subtle highlights, and with a cut that allows for more volume and that will look great either in my naturally curly state or straightened. I've never seen someone curl hair so expertly with just a blow dryer and a round brush! Bes is so friendly and sweet, and I felt comfortable right away! Bes is extremely nice! I was very happy with my experience. His salon is somewhat hard to locate but was well worth finding. I would give Bes 5 stars, but I only have one complaint. I really wanted a dark auburn color for my hair and ended up with a plain brown color. It was almost black. Don't get me wrong the color was great...but not what I asked for. It was still a huge improvement so I am not disappointed in any way and will be back. I have had terrible experiences at hair salons in the past and this was a great relief.
