My massage therapist was Tori. During the session, I noticed she kept removing one hand and then immediately using it again. While I was lying face down, I couldn't see what she was doing. Once I turned over, I looked up and saw her repeatedly rubbing or wiping her nose with that same hand before continuing the massage without sanitizing it. I found this extremely unsanitary and unprofessional. It completely ruined what should have been a relaxing experience. I've had many massages over the years, but this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. It has honestly made me afraid to ever book another massage because I can't stop thinking about the lack of basic hygiene I witnessed. I'd been struggling to find a decent hairdresser in Berlin that didn't cost a fortune so I made an appointment when I came home to see my mother. My hair was in horrible condition from trying different horrible salons and finally giving up and trying to dye my hair myself. I really appreciated the honesty from Wendy and her suggestions for what I could do with it without completely destroying it with bleach. I left happy and with much better looking hair. Corrective color is not cheap, but I don't want someone doing a cheap job on my hair again. The cost was reasonable and much cheaper than I paid for professional color in other US and European cities. I'll make an appointment every time I come home to see my family now.

I did give the place a try after she left and was able to get a cut from the owner, who was a great person and had just wrapped up a really nice cut on the customer before me. Unfortunately, his approach doesn't quite work for my wash-and-go curly hair (I add some product, but am too low maintenance/sleep in too much in the morning to have time and energy to do anything more). I really enjoyed the experience and like their new location off Main St, but I will probably try to find a new place that can accomodate me and my curls a bit better.
