I'm choosing to forgive the offense, but due to the fact that I chose this salon solely because of its high star reviews I feel convicted to share my experience so someone else doesn't have to endure this dishonest representation of skills or suffer the poor customer service and general lack of care. For context I called to schedule my first hair cut after 2 years battling cancer and 20 rounds of chemo. I specifically asked for someone who specialized in short haircuts/chemo hair and was assured I was in good hands. I communicated that I have been a full time performer for over 15 years and frequently have to be on stage or infront of cameras. I also explained I was wanting my hair shaped so it looked more presentable for an Air Force event. This salon left me feeling more robbed of my femininity, looks, and confidence than cancer or chemo ever did. The email exchange is with the salon owner after we spoke on the phone a little before 3 PM and I explained the situation. While she did apologize, there was a defensive, short tone on the phone. I'm including both of my emails as well as her response after they were already closed. She knew this was time sensitive and that we were leaving town early the next morning. 3 hours and end of business day passed with no follow up or solution. Google is free. I will say Lynne who I initially explained the situation to had a much kinder and compassionate demeanor than the others. Also, stress reduction is crucial for a cancer patient's health and recovery. I left a pretty epic review of this place yesterday that I felt like this place deserved every word of for the insane experience my sweet friend had here. My friend called me and asked me to remove it cause she loves Jesus and she felt like my review was a bit to passionately personal and she didn't want the people who hurt her to be hurt emotionally or professionally. Because I respect and love my friend I took down the review. But I still wanted to leave a one star so no one else who has already suffered the unimaginable with cancer falls victim to this place. My friend has carried her battle with tremendous grace and bravery and she was about as sad as I've seen her yesterday. If you or anyone you love needs hair care while in recovery from cancer PLEASE go somewhere that has more skilled stylists, and maybe more importantly more compassionate ones. read more

I cannot thank Gabbie enough and I highly recommend KaCy J Salon! I came in last-minute after absolutely destroying my own hair with a DIY bleach and tone job AND a choppy haircut that I thought I could handle myself. I booked the day before, desperate for a miracle, and Gabbie delivered! My experience at KaCy J Salon was wonderful, and the vibe was immaculate and welcoming. All of the staff was incredibly kind and helpful with my hair emergency! The online booking was super easy and I was able to fit in an appointment last minute as a new client from out of town. I didn't feel judged at all and was instantly put at ease! The inside is adorable and they even have a boutique area in the waiting room! Gabbie is amazing-- she took one look at my disaster and somehow knew exactly what to do. She expertly corrected my color, toned everything beautifully, and even fit in a cut and transformed my uneven chop into a cut that looks intentional, polished, and gorgeous. She LITERALLY turned an orange/purple ombré into a natural blonde!I walked out feeling like a completely new person. She even offered other treatments I didn't add to the schedule if I wanted them. Not only is she incredibly talented, but she's also so kind and reassuring -- which is exactly what you need when you're sitting in the chair feeling like your hair is beyond repair. I honestly don't know how she pulled it off, but I'm so grateful I found her. I'll be booking with her whenever I travel in town from Virginia! I came into kacy j salon about a month ago, i was super tired from working all week, so i was pretty silent the whole time, after the appointment, i was boo'd while my stylist Olivia was taking my "after" photos.. by the other stylists. It confused me until i realized the shade was being thrown at me.. lol, I would've rather bleached my head at home had i known id be disrespected so weirdly.. anyway, my hair looks fine, just wish i could've been more hyped up considering how chill everyone seemed in the beginning. def not returning, hope it's better for others. read more

Been going here for about a year and I've always been seen by Brooke. I'm a brunette who has had taken the journey to Khaleesi blonde. When I got to her my hair was very damaged but over time we worked together and now my hair is healthy and whiter then ever! She does too off the line work for a very reasonable price! I moved here in July. After having the same hairstylist for over 30 years this was the most difficult. I had Keratin, color, and a cut from 2 different people and was very unhappy! Sarah is the best with a razor cut! I have heavy, thick, coarse hair and a razor is the best way to cut it but not everyone with a cosmeticians license can effectively cut hair using a razor. Sarah can! read more

This place was phenomenal! The staff was extremely nice and the studio is super spacious with great vibes. I got my haircut by Brooke, and she was excellent. She went above and beyond and made sure to catch all the little details. Throughout, she made sure to get my opinion and adjusted it accordingly. By far the best haircut I've ever gotten.
