I figured that I would have to get my hair done in Columbia. However, I read a review of the Venue and gave it a shot. When I went there, I asked for a stylist with modern, cutting-edge skills. I didn't want a crazy hairstyle, but I did want someone who had some serious training. They suggested Michael B. He is awesome! And, I've heard only good things about the rest of the stylists. My haircut usually costs $35 plus tip, which I feel is a bargain.

Claire did my consultation and even though I wasn't sure how to explain what I was looking for, she knew exactly what I was looking for. I (husband) drove my father-in-law to the salon and we arrived at 1:47pm. The two of us sat down and waited for the receptionist to get off the phone. The receptionist was on the phone having a personal conversation and ignored us for 7-8 minutes until an employee came out from the other room and asked if we had an appointment. I replied and said "yes" and it is with Carly. The employee did not inform me Carly was not present for work. Rather, the employee said nothing and walked away. Finally, at 2:02pm my wife called me from home to tell me Carly was not at work and her 91 year old, legally blind father cannot get a haircut. The salon staff was very cold to us as we departed. The receptionist even waved good-bye to us. The customer service today was terrible. My father-in-law is 91, legally blind and was very confused why he was not going to receive a haircut. I am giving this salon a one star because their customer service was non-existent today. We will never go back.
