Theya is a great stylist, I've with her for years and if you don't know what color you want to do, she will research and show you what she finds for you to pick and always make you're comfortable. Once she's done she will give you advice on how to take care of your hair and make sure your hair is healthy. Highly recommended! read more

I contemplated this review for a long time and it is way overdue as I last visited this salon maybe over a year ago. I wanted to make a fair assessment after visiting twice for a haircut by Thea. I hate to give them a less than stellar review as the ladies at this salon are super sweet. The conversation and atmosphere are always relaxed and I never really felt any pressure to make small talk, but actually enjoy the easy conversations. I really wanted to love this place and make it my "go to" salon as there are so many great things to love about this place, but unfortunately, at the end of the day, it's the end result - the cut, that matters most and it fell a bit short of my expectations both times. I always came equipped with photos of the cut that I wanted and after showing it to Thea, she seemed to get it, but both times I left feeling disappointed. I have medium to long hair and all I wanted was a nice layered cut with some shape. Both times I left feeling ok about the cut after the blow dry and styling, but once I got home and washed it, it became this frizzy, choppy mess. I've never had this happen before. My hair is not typically frizzy even when the weather is damp. After the first time, I mentioned it to Thea and she was shocked to hear, but really tried to address it, which I appreciated, but after the second time it happened, I decided it was time to call it quits. I'm not saying that I wouldn't recommend this salon as you might have a better experience with your hair type... I'm just saying it's not for me. Bummer! read more

Salon 93- I came in with the photo on the left to show what I wanted. My hair was an ugly brassy blonde with an inch of very dark brown root. She used bleach and foils and turned my brassy blonde to an ashy blonde with over an inch of dark brown root still, (see photo 1). I returned complaining that my my hair looked nothing like the contrasting caramel with yellow blonde. It took me 15 minutes for me to tell them and for them to understand that the demarcation between my roots and the blonde needed to be blended. They acted like I was speaking another language. So they applied a toner to the "blonde" and added some more foils on top. I left again looking nothing like the photo with a big brown strand in the middle, (see photo 2). They offered to continue to work on it, but I said no thank you. read more

Out of the many hairsalons I've visited, this place definitely stands out in terms of quality work and service! I see Emily and she is fantastic. She consulted with me about what I wanted and explained to me what steps it would take to be there. We are currently in the process of taking my hair from jet black to blonde, but I am almost too in love with the transition color. Best color treatment and haircut I've ever gotten. Love this place and the people! read more

I love this salon. I have been there twice. Theya cut my unruly and crazy curls and got them into shape. She's the first hair stylist I've ever seen who really seems to enjoy working on curly hair. Curly girls! This is the hair stylist you have been looking for! Went back a few months later (my hair grows SO slowly) for color. Jasmine did a fantastic job and really worked with me so it turned out how I wanted. Everyone there is very upbeat, friendly and flexible. Treana is always smiling. The decor is cool with just enough girly touches to make the small salon seem warm and inviting. There's even a mini chandelier in the bathroom :) I will continue to go to this salon and look forward to my next visit! read more

I get coffee at the Starbucks next door, and I thought I'd give Salon.93 a try. Maria cut my hair and she did a great job. I felt right at home with Maria and her two daughters who are part of the family business. It's obvious the staff is passionate about their craft and their talent shows through on their clients (which are mostly women), but as a guy I didn't feel out of place. I definitely recommend if you live/work near Cary or Morrisville. read more

Theya is great!! She always does amazing, fun color and gives me a cute cut! You won't be disappointed. read more

Messed up my bangs!! I asked for a trim on the existing hair and the stylist did not know enough about hair to determine if my hair was straight across or slanted. She cut it straight across with the high side on the opposite of my part. Had to keep cutting shorter and shorter until it was even. I HAVE NEVER HAD HAIR SO MESSED UP BEFORE. DID NOT HAVE THE SENSE OR THE CARE TO SEE IF IT LOOKED LIKE SHIT OR NOT. Owner of the shop came by and said there was nothing that could be done. Waste of money. DON'T GO HERE. read more

I absolutely love this salon. I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to my hair. I typically would go to a hair salon and hope they knew what to do. With Theya, I am always confident that she will know exactly what to do. She is an amazing stylist and does a great job on color. I've gotten so many compliments on my hair thanks to her! The other ladies at the salon are all great too! Though I've never used any of the other stylists, I have seen them do wonderful work on friends and other patrons. And Treana who works the front is always so pleasant! This family business seems to run very smoothly even on very busy days. I will continue to get my hair done here and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants awesome hair. read more

Love Theya and Maria. Only been here a few times to get my hair and my hubby's hair. Theya can do an extremely detailed pixie haircut. So far, I'm very happy and would gladly recommend the spa to others. read more

Went in for a haircut. Needed to get rid of my dead ends and do a little thinning. It came out perfect and feels amazing! Ended up getting my eyebrows waxed too and they look as amazing as my hair! The entire staff was super friendly and helpful! I will definitely go back! read more

While my haircut looks nice and I was happy with the service, I won't be going back due to the pricing. Their website lists pricing for a woman's haircut as being $40-$65 which includes a wash and blowout. I have shoulder length, straight hair and I was charged $60.00 for a trim. There also seems to be no consistency in the pricing, I actually paid a few dollars less during my last visit to the same stylist when I went from having long hair up to the style it is now (which I would normally assume would cost more)... It seems to be whatever the stylist feels at the time of checkout. I really thought I had found my "go-to" salon in this area, which I have struggled with since moving here 2 years ago... However, I left this last time feeling like I was ripped off and I will not be returning or recommending this Salon to my friends. read more

I have gone to this salon twice so far. Maria was my stylist both times. She is awesome! She is friendly and very knowledgeable. I've gotten dramatic haircut & color services which turned out beautiful! I am so picky about my haircuts and wasn't able to find a salon I liked in the Raleigh area for years after moving here from Charlotte. Their pricing is in line with most salons in the area. Considering a cut/blow dry/style at a low end chain hair salon these days runs at about $30-35, I think Salon 93's prices are very reasonable. Thanks, Maria, for the awesome haircut/color! read more

Crazy overpriced charged for services I did not need nor ask for. Would never come here again

Theya is fantastic. I'm no good at explaining what I want done and usually just tell her what I hate and ask her to make me feel pretty. She has always succeeded!!!! She is careful to always leave it long enough that I can pull it back easily and understands that I'm not one to do more on a daily basis than run a brush through my hair. I've had nothing but perfect experiences here and have complete confidence in the staff. read more

Such a cute and sheek salon. Emily did my cut and color and I could not be happier with my hair. She was very helpful and knowledgable. She taught me all these new tips and tricks for my hair. Being new to the area, I found my new hair salon. I couldn't give a five because my shirt got ruined with hair dye. read more

If you advertise being open until 6pm and have your "walk-ins welcome" sign illuminated, it seems a bit strange to turn away someone at 5:15. read more

So the reviews are true about the staff being super nice and welcoming. I did appreciate that. However, my cut is a different story. I wanted my long hair cut into a shorter, more defined shape. I was pretty specific about what I wanted, brought pictures, and voiced concerns about what I didnt like. While the cut is ok, it isnt really what I asked for. When she was initally done, I asked her to shape it further because I didnt like it. She tried, I give her props for that, but its still not right. Im really bummed because I feel pretty self conscious now, but I try to remind myself that its just hair. Anyway, Im not telling you not to try this salon, you might have way better luck than me, but I will say that maybe there is a disconnect between what the customer is asking for and what the stylists are capable of doing. read more

Sorry!!!Did not work for me at all!!! Got a keratin treatment done in this salon!!!What a waste of $200,my hair went back to its normal right after I washed it ,which was 3 days after. I have had Keratin treatments done 4/5 times before in other locations, had great results each and every time, which lasted for about 4-5 months.!!! When I went back to complain they seemed unapologetic and did not offer any compensation either!!!very disappointed!! Will NOT go back!!! read more

The hairdressers were nice and the location was great, everything else was bad. The website lists a cut as $35-$55 dollars and my bob cost $60 even though I asked for no styling or products. The cut was very unflattering and when I got home I had to cut a couple pieces of hair that she missed (they were over an inch longer than any other part of my straight bob). I'm never going back and I feel ripped off. read more

i read all review before i went this salon. most of people rated 5stars so i trusted but did not work for me at all. inside the salon is not clean, not welcome feeling. i never go back.. read more
