I even tried color for the first time in my life, at age 35. It was a great experience! The highlights that Leah gave me were really fun and noticeable, but also totally natural and grew out really well so that there was no noticeable, awkward post-color ugly-roots phase. It was really fun to have the highlights and I also feel relieved that I can decide for myself when and if I'd like to add them in again. I have seen Leah a total of four times so far, and each time we tweak the haircut just a little so that it continues to transform and feel new for me - and the style keeps looking better and better. After my first haircut with Leah I had multiple people approach me and seek Leah out for the same haircut - that's how good she is! I feel really grateful to have found her - she is a diamond in the rough! Leah is also a warm person to chat with - always a plus with a hair stylist. There is always coffee or water available and a nice place to lounge when I arrive - I tend to arrive a few minutes early just so that I can kick back for a few minutes. I've even started sending my husband to Leah - she did a great job with his hair and beard. We both consider getting out hair cut with her to be self-care! He remarked when he came home from his first appointment with her that the shampoo and scalp massage were really exceptional. I agree, she does have a wonderful touch - another big plus when seeing a hair stylist. It's those little extra things that really make a big difference. I personally am a massage therapist, and picky about who I like to receive massage from, so this is a big compliment coming from me. Bottom line is, go see this woman! You won't regret it.

The owner and her daughter were so friendly. I believe Tanya cut my hair.. she asked about my hair routine, whether I was trying to grow my hair out or not, how much product I used, etc., when I asked her opinion on one style over another she was very knowledgeable and told me pros and cons about it in reference to my routine. I had a very excellent experience and definitely plan on going back.

I loved the Aveda products they used and didn't feel pressured to buy, they simply inform you about what was used and show the products after the facial. I did end up picking up a couple products because I like that Aveda is all natural and effective. I wasn't expecting for a facial to be as relaxing and calming-- if not more than a massage, but it really was! It felt productive too as she worked on some clogged areas on my face that I was concerned about. It ended with a neck and shoulder massage which was amazing. The 60 minutes was perfect but I'd definitely try the 90 minute because it was so nice. I highly recommend this clean and friendly salon!

She was very talkative but I noticed that she was not listening to me but rather telling me repeatedly that she was in this business for 26 years. She is very adept at diverting your attention with her chatter. Only later to find out she used a razor to cut my hair!!!! A definite no no. Yes, I should have been paying closer attention to what she was doing, I did not. She has ruined my hair and it will take a long, long time to get my thick hair back!!! I now hate to look in the mirror and see this disaster. It is frizzy and totally unmanageable. Ordinarily by this time after a haircut I would almost be ready for another cut but I look scalped!!!! I am so very upset and just want to share my experience.

My masseuse was nice and sweet, but her massage room was a little disappointing... you could hear everything going on outside in the salon area and the stylists chatting outside. I just moved back to Everett, MA after being away from the US for 8 years. I stumbled into Top International Hair Salon since it is very close to my house but I knew nothing about this place. To my surprise, I found a familiar face! I was confident Susanna is a capable hairdresser since the place she used to work has very high standards; Susanna was not my hairdresser at the other place. So, I got my hair cut from Susanna and I was more than pleased with the result! My haircut costs $25 but it's $30 for women; they will wash your hair before and after. Well, I used to pay $40 for a haircut in Boston and I am paying less now, traveling less and getting the same quality! Oh, I always bring some photos of mine showing my hair when it was short whenever I go to a new hair salon, and I never had any issues with any new hairdressers. My hair grows really fast and I will be going back to see Susanna every 3 weeks.

And this place is definitely not top or even mediocre, but below average, when it can't even get a simple haircut right. Damn if I'd told her 3 inches, she probably would've given me a cut so short and puffy that I look like a chia pet.
