As the appointment went on, I also felt that she became frustrated when I spoke up about the results. I left feeling disappointed, frustrated, and unheard. I don't know whether she was having a bad day, was distracted by other things, or if this is her usual approach with clients, but the experience felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. Ling is efficient and doesn't waste your time; she was not only thorough in determining what I wanted in my cut, but she also explained why she cut the way she did (ex. she explained that adding more layers might lead to unwanted frizziness in my hair). The haircut was quick like I needed, but that didn't stop Ling from talking with me and having great conversation. I felt very welcomed, relaxed, and left feeling great about my hair. I would absolutely recommend this salon and I will definitely be back. One thing I will mention is that this establishment is cash or check only. I think they would be even better if they accepted card or if they had a Venmo/paypal account for customers that don't have cash on them readily. They also suggested I should get a hair cut and I agreed to have it cut ~2 inches, to get rid of any split ends. Within seconds, 5-6 inches of my hair was chopped off LOL... I came in with my hair being around waist length to leaving with slightly more than shoulder length hair left. The total price I paid was around what I pay on average at various different salons but I left a bit unsatisfied unfortunately. Overall, I did not leave a happy camper but I did really like seeing the pics of others' results. Perhaps I visited on an off day?
