Hand down to the best hair stylist in MA - Eric. I have not had my hair cut for a while. I only dye them and cut my myself. I went go other studio but I did not like it. My friend recommended this salon to me especially Eric. I called to make an appointment with him on Monday June 28, but he is fully booked until Monday July 4 (that's how popular he is) You should call before heading to the salon because it's by appointment only. They do not take walk-in. Since it's appointment only, they don't rush to cut your hair like other studios, Eric takes times to cut my hair. He also has great eyes and knows what best for his customer. I do a short layers with curtains bang. I never love my hair this much. 100% would recommend it. Go to Eric for your haircut. read more

Really like this place. I used to go to Boston for haircuts and took forever to find parking. E'studio is local and I can get there within minutes. I prefer Eric to be my stylist since he knows my hair the best and is more familiar with my haircut style. He is super nice and attends to detail. I'm constantly on the look out for a new hair salon and consider myself quite hard to please. Most cuts I've received in the US just cannot hold a candle to the attention and details I've received in Asia. Anyways, all this background is just to say I was pleasantly surprised by Eric! His style (definitely agree with Sonia on him being on the quiet side) just jived with me. He was thorough and performed both wet and dry haircutting on me. Ans while not one for idle chatter, Eric addressed my concerns with thoughtful responses. Been wayyyy too long since I've taken care of this mane! Gals will be appalled but it's probably been about 7 months so I had to have everything done - Balayage (which included toner treatment of course) + your usual wash, cut and blow dry. Honestly, I decided to give this place a try because of the great Yelp reviews but also because a) I've tried all personal recommendations and b) it's close to home. Yasss, convenience and time back is close to godliness, my friends. To be honest, I went specifically with an Asian stylist because they would have the most experience with my hair type (difficult to dye since it's naturally black with a somewhat thinner, silkier texture). I went to see Eric and he came, he saw, and then he conquered. He's not much of a conservationist but peeps, he knows how to handles the shears and the coloring paraphernalia. I have come here twice now, once for a haircut and a second time for a perm. For both times Jenny was my stylist and she was awesome, she was so attentive and listened to what I wanted. She really knows her way around asian hair and gave me feedback on the photos I showed, and I came out with a cut and perm that was better than I had imagined. The prices are affordable for someone like me who gets hair done once a year ($50 cut and $150 perm). Street parking is easy to find and the location is clean and fast. read more

I scheduled a haircut with Eric a week in advance after reading so many great reviews. Booking the appointment over the phone was a bit tricky considering the receptionist isn't the best at communicating due to the language barrier, but it got the job done. I would suggest upgrading to online booking? Upon arrival I was greeted by the front desk where she took my temperature and I wrote my name and information down on their notepad. I was immediately brought back to wash my hair. The salon was pretty spacious for 2 stylist and also super organized and clean. Eric listened to everything I wanted and even gave me suggestions on the way I wanted my haircut. He is not a talker, which I actually prefer. He is also pretty quick and accurate. You can always tell when a salon cares about its clients when they ask you exactly what you want, and offer suggestions to improve what you originally had in mind - also, the constant stream of young, fashionable clients indicates that Eric and the other stylists know what they're doing! My partner and I both go to E'studio as our regular salon, and it's the first hair place that we can both rely on for a consistently great cut. I haven't gotten any of their other treatments yet, but I plan on it in the future and will update my review then! Also - remember to bring cash! I hardly ever write reviews but Eric was so amazing I just had to ! I use to go to Eric but moved to Philly seven years ago. Having search all over Philly for the best haircuts at high end salons in the city, no one compares to Eric. I didn't appreciate what I had until coming back today. I had gotten a haircut just last week at a salon in Philly and wasn't happy with it. There wasn't enough texture, body and was way too heavy (I have lots of hair). Eric first cut my hair wet then blew it out and went back in with his shears. His hands ran through every strand meticulously. He repeated the process over and over looking for just the right texture, body and weight. He would run his hands through my hair, watch it fall and see how it sat. If it wasn't perfect he would come back in with his shears. I haven't had such a meticulous and beautiful cut in so long. Quincy is very fortunate to have Eric in this hidden gem. Ps. I showed Eric a famous stylist out in Beverly Hills in IG who charges $600 for a hair cut. Guess what they use the same shears. He said spending $$$ on good shears made for a better cut. read more

I have been going to Eric for haircuts for 11 years and at this point I don't trust anyone else with my hair. I've had a variety of short to medium hair styles (chin length, angled bob, lob, layers or no layers) and Eric has done a fantastic job each and every time. He takes his time and somehow cuts my hair in a way such that it still looks amazing as it grows out. Most recently I dyed my black hair to a dark brown balayage.... three and a half months later my roots are coming in but the base color doesn't contrast with it much at all, which is to say that the color job was seamless. Eric is AMAZING!!! He's been cutting my hair for the past 12+ years. You can tell he takes pride in everything he does, and all I get is a hair cut. I have medium-long hair and when it comes to bangs I just tell Eric to cut what he thinks is best for my face shape and for my lifestyle (mother of 2 toddlers, which means low maintenance and doesn't require a whole lot of work). The studio is modern and clean. The pricing is cheaper than any other salon I would find in Boston. The man who cut my hair (Eric?) seemed friendly and knowledgeable since I didn't really know what to do with my hair. The bottom of my hair felt like a broom. It was so dry! Eric was very helpful in advising me in what hairstyles would work for me and my type of hair. I have very thin frizzy hair and a haircut that's too short just wouldn't have worked. He recommend a lob (long bob) and I love how it turned out! He was very gentle, professional, and quick. My hair has never felt healthier. The inside of this hair salon is stylish and clean. I gave this salon so many chances because it is very close to my house. There was only 1 time where I was completely satisfied with my haircut. I asked for long layers and showed her 2 pictures. I specified how short I wanted my hair because I did have long hair and short hair does not suit my face. She almost gave me a bob.....This is not the first time where they cut my hair completely short than I wanted. I'm just not sure what's the confusion about? Especially I specifically explained what I wanted and it looked nothing like the two pictures I showed as examples.
