I recently moved from…read moreLos Angeles where I got Thai/deep tissue combo massage every other week so I was looking for the same here. I found Castle Spa and was not disappointed! My appointment was with Jaimie and I got a Thai massage for my first appointment, it was amazing! I could tell she had a lot of experience and had a natural talent. I will definitely be back but my only problem was the price. I'm used to paying $50 for an hour and $75 for 90 minutes. At Castle they charged $90 for a one hour Thai massage so no way I can swing that price every other week. Other than that I highly recommend Castle Spa and Massage!

The second time I called she said she would call me back and didn't so I had to call again to schedule then I scheduled a massage and when I got there, the lady was arguing with me saying that I had a no-show last time so she charged me $25 for no reason when they rescheduled on me due to no therapist having availability because they were sick when I got there at 11:30. That was my appointment time. She sat there and argue with me for 20 minutes before I even went back to the room and told me that she had somebody there at 12:30. I'm just literally standing there telling her whatever I'll pay the $25 and I wanted to get back in there then she called her boss and was saying that I had a attitude which wouldn't you? 20 minutes of my massage is being wasted arguing with you and now you're telling me you have to charge me a no-show fee because I never called back last time when they never called me anyway it was a terrible first experience the other reviews with them saying the lady didn't ask me what my problem areas were is true she didn't talk to me or ask me where or what I wanted. She did crawl on top of the table, which was really weird and Like knee walked my back. I just didn't like the whole experience. I got there arguing with them from the beginning and my massage was cut short by 20 minutes. Terrible experience. Will never go back.

Amazing experience - I had an appointment with Marissa for lymphatic drainage due to a lingering…read moreankle injury (4 weeks out and still puffy in some areas). This was my first experience with lymphatic drainage; it'd been recommended to try and reduce some of the swelling that wasn't resolving on its own, and I came across Marissa's site. Her space is calm and welcoming, and she instantly puts you at ease. She explained how the entire lymph system works, what can happen with an injury that can cause the lack of drainage I was experiencing, and the flow we'd be using during the entire process. She was very focused on comfort levels - temperature of the table, any pressure the drape might put on my ankle, and any areas that might be sensitive for me (physically or mentally/emotionally). Marissa is incredibly knowledgeable, competent, and intuitive. We worked through the flow, and much to my surprise I could feel it working - I could actually feel the sensations she had described *could* happen in several instances, and the amount of pressure needed for the drainage was incredibly light - far, far less pressure than in a Swedish massage, so no discomfort at all, even on injured tissue. At the end of the massage, when I looked at my right ankle, I was stunned to see it had symmetry again with my uninjured ankle - it had been swollen for 30 days. The area at the joint that was warm to the touch and felt "full" to me was completely flat. My only regret in this process is I didn't take before and after photos to show the difference. 24 hours later, the swelling remains 90% diminished from before the massage. I have a much higher range of motion, as the swelling had been prevented rotation. Things that caused my ankle to ache - like crossing my legs and having the injured ankle unsupported for more than 90 seconds - don't hurt. I cannot believe the difference this made; if it had been 25% as effective as it was I would have considered it to be a wild success. I would not hesitate to do lymphatic drainage (or any massage) with Marissa again, and would recommend her to any friend or family member.

My chronic back pain has dissolved for now, my range of motion has increased. I can do spinal twists more comfortably. I also added a hot oil scalp massage because it sounded delightful. I didn't even think about how dry and itchy my scalp has been this winter. My scalp stopped itching and my hair smells amazing from her premium selection of essential oils. Also love the warm, rolled up neck towel, the weighted heating pad, the peppermint oil foot massage, the ambience, and her attention to detail. Can't wait for my next appointment! Thank you Marissa‍

I am giving two stars because the massage (with Gary) was good. The initial evaluation was very thorough and had taken x-rays as well, which my primary doctor has not offered to do. What I learned was my neck ended up being in worse shape than my hips. I believe that preventative measures is crucial at my age, and I started on a 12 week program with them. The treatment doesn't just stop at the adjustments, there were exercises and at home care that I was able to put into my program. This will be a lifetime of help. About 4 weeks in, i noticed that my headaches i was having almost daily and taking ibuprofen for went about 90% away! I work in the tech industry and just thought looking at computers was causing my headaches. I've been able to do more walking and running, my nerves aren't acting up, as well as I am sleeping better and not having to take meds. I like the approach to their treatment and assessment for adjustments. It is open concept, great music and upbeat atmosphere.
