With few reviews to go on, I was hesitant. Was I ever pleasantly surprised! Having opened only ~1 month ago, this place checked all the boxes. While not close to my home, I will happily return to Vancouver to visit "Tony" again. I usually prefer a female therapist, but felt very comfortable the entire time. He asked more than once if pressure was right for me. Gracious staff made me feel not only welcome, but treated me like a VIP. I received a free GC for another CBD application and a punch card. From entryway to restroom, all was immaculate. Gorgeous massage room decor. Soft music. No annoying phones or background chatter. No regrets whatsoever. Cannot wait for my next massage. Thank you!!! My appointment was with Jaimie and I got a Thai massage for my first appointment, it was amazing! I could tell she had a lot of experience and had a natural talent. At Castle they charged $90 for a one hour Thai massage so no way I can swing that price every other week. Other than that I highly recommend Castle Spa and Massage!

Amazing experience - I had an appointment with Marissa for lymphatic drainage due to a lingering…read moreankle injury (4 weeks out and still puffy in some areas). This was my first experience with lymphatic drainage; it'd been recommended to try and reduce some of the swelling that wasn't resolving on its own, and I came across Marissa's site. Her space is calm and welcoming, and she instantly puts you at ease. She explained how the entire lymph system works, what can happen with an injury that can cause the lack of drainage I was experiencing, and the flow we'd be using during the entire process. She was very focused on comfort levels - temperature of the table, any pressure the drape might put on my ankle, and any areas that might be sensitive for me (physically or mentally/emotionally). Marissa is incredibly knowledgeable, competent, and intuitive. We worked through the flow, and much to my surprise I could feel it working - I could actually feel the sensations she had described *could* happen in several instances, and the amount of pressure needed for the drainage was incredibly light - far, far less pressure than in a Swedish massage, so no discomfort at all, even on injured tissue. At the end of the massage, when I looked at my right ankle, I was stunned to see it had symmetry again with my uninjured ankle - it had been swollen for 30 days. The area at the joint that was warm to the touch and felt "full" to me was completely flat. My only regret in this process is I didn't take before and after photos to show the difference. 24 hours later, the swelling remains 90% diminished from before the massage. I have a much higher range of motion, as the swelling had been prevented rotation. Things that caused my ankle to ache - like crossing my legs and having the injured ankle unsupported for more than 90 seconds - don't hurt. I cannot believe the difference this made; if it had been 25% as effective as it was I would have considered it to be a wild success. I would not hesitate to do lymphatic drainage (or any massage) with Marissa again, and would recommend her to any friend or family member.

Here's how it works: -You'll go in, and they'll send you to the float room. You'll shower, cover any scrapes with some vaseline and then go into the chamber (naked!) for 60 minutes. -You can use earplugs or a little floaty if you need some help keeping your head up. -Then you'll relax and drift away on a cloud of saline. The girls who run the place are very sweet and the costs are about what you'd see elsewhere. Highly recommend!

They had a very thorough questionnaire about my issues and the amount of pressure I was looking for. My massage therapist was amazing! She worked out all the kinks in my shoulder and back and was constantly checking to see if I was ok with the amount of pressure and if there was any pain. I really prefer a lot of pressure and most massage therapists I've been to just can't seem to do it firm enough BUT not here! She has been absolutely fantastic and my body is in such a better place now. She's so communicative about how I'm feeling and adjusts perfectly at any point that I ask. I truly can't say enough good stuff about this place and the pain relief therapy massage provider!
