Asian owned beauty supply store that follows black people around the store…read more Sadly it's still happening. Came to this store as an alternative to my regular beauty supply store, as I remembered I needed gel. I walked into the store and was greeted by an older Asian woman as I proceeded down the isles looking for gel. I noticed for every aisle I went down, there was an Asian man following me at the end of every aisle cap. I looked down and saw the gel just as he walked towards me asking could he help me. I said no, and he put his hands up and repeated himself. I said no again. I proceeded to the front of the store where they both were standing and watching me. I turned, said " Have a nice day" and went to the other beauty supply store about a mile away. I'll never come here again.

No lip bar, so I went on to look around at the cushion foundation (never mind if you have no clue what I was talking about). My Whoo cushion is running out so I thought maybe I would try another brand. Aritaum carries a few brands like Sulwhasoo, Laneige and Iope, all under Amore Pacific. Staff was helpful. She told me the shop does not carry all colors for the lip bar. I told her I wanted to get the cushion in #21. The staff rang up my order and I wanted to grab the shopping bag after paying. She asked me to wait a min, opened a drawer and gave me lots of samples. She also invited me to sign up for this free membership thing to get discount? Overall, this is a great place to shop for korean skin care and make up products. I just wish the shop is bigger and carries more products.

While on the floor, Nickky was amazing--very helpful and professional. However, at checkout, the card machine malfunctioned and showed my payment didn't go through. The cashier then loudly and sarcastically told me to "check my funds," which was completely inappropriate. Other employees laughed, which made the situation even more embarrassing. I spoke with the manager, Asia, and she showed no concern and walked away without addressing the issue. Because of how I was treated, I returned everything. After leaving, I checked my bank account and found I was charged twice--confirming the issue was the machine, not my card. As a healthcare professional, I value professionalism and respect. This experience was unacceptable, embarrassing, and disappointing--especially given I was shopping to give back to the community. I hope this location takes accountability and improves both customer service and management response.
