I had a disappointing experience at this Sally Beauty location. When I tried to use my professional discount, the cashier focused more on lecturing me about my license expiration than helping me resolve it. Instead of working toward a solution or providing a positive customer service experience, I felt dismissed as a customer. I'd recommend the University location instead, where I've had much better customer service experiences. read more

I love coming to Sally's to get my dye and hair or beauty products! The ladies are always so friendly and always greet you when coming in to the store! I'm always happy when I'm looking for something and it's in stock. They have a large selection of items which I love! read more

Best Sally location hands down. Abby is the reason for my 5 stars. She is kind, friendly, caring, and really cares about her customers. I drive all the way from spring valley to this location when I have one down the street. She went above and beyond to help me. Sally should feel so lucky to have her as a store manger. Thank you again Abby! read more

Service was excellent. Cashier was very helpful and very polite. Didn't get her name but she was excellent. Thanks a bunch

Very rude customer service, didn't catch the lady's name but she had very pink hair. Simply asked if she had any extra hair color in the back and she checked and advised they were out of the brand I wanted. She then noticed I was looking for a certain color and tried suggesting ideas, I advised to her that I was aware of the developer levels as well as the type of hair color I was specifically looking for. She did not like that I was not in need of her "knowledge" so she stated a rude comment with an attitude stating "I've been in the industry for 18 years I should know" "but ok do whatever you want" , definitely needs improvement on her attitude and customer service. Will not be going back again. read more

I came into this location last week to look at products for my teen who recently started doing her own acrylic nails, the ladies were super helpful and really took their time to help educate us on the different options we had for what we were looking to purchase. My daughter came home and was super happy with all her products. Fast forward a couple days later we decided to take a stab at BLEACHING our own hair for the first time. Again, Kerri was so welcoming and helpful. She even remembered us from the previous day, she helped us pick out everything we needed. We couldn't wait to get home and do our hair and it came out beautiful! The products were definitely everything she said they would be. Thank you so much for all your help. We will certainly be back for all our beauty needs. read more

I have been trying to post this review but with the holidays I have been busy. I would recommend this store to everyone. I had the best experience ever and I have been shopping at different Sally's for 30 years. The customer service from Tomi was incredible. She was so knowledgeable about ALL the products I was very surprised. I went to cosmetology school (long ago) and she knewt a lot more than myself and other employees that I have encountered. This young lady was so excited to help me out with the colors and different products to mix for different outcomes. Like I mentioned earlier best experience ever! I definitely will be going back to this store and look for Tomi and recommend you do too. read more

It is beautiful and works great.I was able to shave my head down to my scalp like I was looking for. I can shave my head anytime or clean up my beard. This purchase was super helpful for me. This one takes the cake as the most unfriendly Sally's ever. I asked the sales clerk a question, she didn't even look at me and said they didn't carry the product, mind you other Sally's do... she was standoffish and seemed bothered that I even asked, before that I asked about a product and she almost rolled her eyes before answering... with a re statement of the question without further explanation... I asked so this says it can be used as permanent, semi permanent or Demi permanent? So she answered, because it can be used as permanent, semi permanent or demi permanent... wow ok no kidding, how about some elaboration since I as a customer obviously need more info, by the way she was acting I just left. I would rather give my business to anyone else who treats their customers better. read more

I've never experienced this in my life. The manager Lisa clearly Has anger issues. I'm not the only one who's reviewed her. I'm a hairdresser so I follow all guidelines and there's six people allowed in the store at all times. Two people left so me and one other person walked in she instantly gave me attitude and told me to go outside the store when I questioned her on why she rolled her eyes and counted aggressively on how many people were inside the store and said there was one person in the back (her coworker)which made no sense. So I was waiting behind the door and someone in there was talking to me so I was politely responding back and I wasn't aware that I wasn't behind the red line so she yelled at me to go behind the red line and then another person left and she still wouldn't let me come in so I was getting irritated by then. So when I walked in I asked her why she was being so rude to me and she responded with anger that I wasn't listening. It just came out of nowhere I was in a good mood I'm a nice person. I whispered "bitch"underneath my breath because it was ridiculous on how she was acting the lady before me who had left when she walked out mentioned that she was being ridiculous. Once she heard that she kicked me out and I was dumbfounded. There is people outside asking me what happened and I told them so then she came out and said she was calling the police on me. And yes she did!!! They came and it was the most embarrassing thing ever!!! I had a few other people come to me afterwards and said I shouldn't have been treated that way and she was out of line. Just because she's a manager doesn't mean she should treat people that way I will never go back to the store and I'm gonna find every way to make sure she doesn't treat other customers that way calling headquarters tomorrow! She also was making it a scene in the store asking Customers if they heard me call her a bitch LOL everyone felt very uncomfortable. I had to go to another Sally's and I talked to the manager there and they have heard several complaints about her as well so I'm glad that it's not only me I understand people are super sensitive and touchy during Covid but that doesn't mean you could treat others that way. I've never experienced this before and I am so upset over it read more

I'm surprised by the low score for this location. I stopped by on a very busy evening with three rambunctious kids and I found the staff to be so patient and helpful. There were two women working and they were both extremely knowledgeable. The store set up was clean and organize, and everything was very easy to find. Parking in the shopping center can get a little crazy but there is lots of space so we inevitably found a spot within a couple minutes. read more

I came in with my daughter on Saturday. After leaving Empire beauty Salon in Park way plaza, my daughter was in tears. The Empire employees had no idea what the hell they we're talking about and made my daughter feel like she should cut all her hair off. Thank God for the Manager and expertise/knowledge and the team working that day. Everything she told my daughter to do with the correct toner, shampoo etc worked. The employees really made us feel so much better and full of hope. We left the store with smiles and laughing. Thank you for actually caring and the best customer service I've had in a long time. read more

I went to return an item and as soon as I walked in she asked for my phone number. She said she needed it for the return. When does that ever make sense? Where does it say we need a fucking phone number to return products? She was wearing glasses and had her hair up in a bun. I went at 6:15 on 12/5/19. I'm SURE she was a manager and I'm upset I didn't get her name because that was ridiculous. Keep that snobby attitude with someone who won't be as calm as I was and let's see how they react. I went into Sally's at 9625 Mission Gorge Rd. I was looking for a product they were out of. I was disappointed because I was about to run out of said product. I'm really surprised by the negative reviews about the return process.... the phone number is associated with your purchase if you're a regular/member of theirs, and most retail stores will ask for phone numbers to confirm your info is up to date - I've worked in customer service for 15 years and this wouldn't faze me the slightest. Anyway, I've never been to this location but I was in and out within 5 minutes because the lovely lady understood what I was looking for with my hair. I touched up my roots myself (ash brown with auburn/gold undertones naturally but I'm an ash blonde now) and my roots were pretty strawberry. She understood that I wanted to keep my hair healthy and the color without gold tones, so she pointed out the color I had been eyeing and comparing to the length of my hair that's already really light. She told me the best way to even it all out and I cannot wait to see the final results when I'm done tonight. I would definitely come back here for my future touch up needs - I wish I'd gotten her name, but she was fantastic! read more

On Friday November 6th at about 4pm I had a horrible experience at the Sally's in Santee. This was my experience: I started to walk into the Santee Sally's beauty supply store and a worker that was an older white woman stopped me and told me only 6 people could be in at a time. I waited outside until 2 people walked out. She told me I could walk in so I did. Then 2 older white people, husband and wife with American flag shirts on, walk in. The lady doesn't say anything to them. We are at 7 people in the store now. I told her that 2 people came in after me and I noticed she didn't make them wait. She tells me it doesn't matter and calls me a lunatic if I want to make something out of nothing. She tells me I don't know how to count and mimics counting on her fingers. I tell her I'm a teacher therefore I do know how to count. She continues to call me a lunatic and starts pointing at me in my face and telling the customers that I'm a lunatic. I tell her she is gaslighting me and I just want her to treat all the customers the same. She tells me she's going to call the cops on me and I tell her to go right ahead. I haven't done anything wrong. I decide to leave because things are escalating really fast. As I start to walk out. The woman with the American flag shirt that the employee let in accuses me of stealing. She tells the employee that there's something in my purse. It is only big enough for my phone and wallet. They make me dump out my purse on a table in the middle of the store in front of everyone and they keep telling me that they are going to call the cops on me for stealing but when my purse is dumped out there's nothing there. Out of the 10 customers only one had my back and kept saying,"This isn't right. Look at how small her purse is, she didn't do anything wrong." And the woman with the American flag shirt kept saying, "Call the police on her for stealing", even though there wasn't anything in my purse. I was so humiliated and I'm sick of the tactics in Santee. I was able to run out of the store. read more

The manager Lisa is a rude and disrespectful bitch she was telling my daughter who was attempting to come in the store behind me she couldn't come in and blocked her foot in the door instead of he saying we are at capacity so my daughter exited the store the manager Lisa was telling other customers that my daughter is rude and was rolling her eyes so I confronted the manager about talking trash behind my daughters back to other customers ya that's really a good manager so I got upset and went off on her and I also asked her for Corprate number she lies and said their isn't one she needs to be fired and honestly no matter the situation as a manager you shouldn't be talking about customers at all she deserves to be fired. read more

Lady at the desk today was downright rude! When we walked in she was no where to be found and we had to go back to the back stockroom to find her. Then when we asked for some help she said yes and then turned back around to finish putting her makeup on. What?? So when she came out she said now what are you needing to know? Every time I come in, the girls are extremely RUDE. last time they had a sign on the door that said "be back in 10 minutes" and the girls were inside sitting down, playing on their phones for longer than 10 minutes while I waited outside the locked doors. Today I went in and the girl with the curly hair and bad eyebrows (covering her name tag!) was trash talking other employees, was rude to another customer trying to make a return, and then rude to me when the stuff she told me was on sale, wasn't on sale. I recommended changing the sign since the sale wasn't working on the advertised product and she said "I didn't make the sign." extremely horrible customer service and I'm embarrassed for the store that THAT'S who is representing them. C'mon now...look, the store is not the cleanest. The counter help is not the nicest. There was a younger 20something and an older lady working this particular day. When the store makes a mistake like keeping a sale sign up 7 days after the sale was over they should honor it and they did not. Of course I didn't read the small print of dates on a sign that was posted in store and the clerk seemed to think it was my mistake.
