Mask protocol is enforced because of state regulations on salons and licensing issues. Got there as soon as they opened, waited just a couple of minutes, and got a nice shampoo and cut. The stylist was also the store manager - very polite and friendly, good conversationalist. Also a good stylist! Although the staff has turned over a lot since covid began, the service is still good. However, since they are currently short handed (like everyone else these days) if you're not there early, right when they open, it's probably best to call and make a same day appointment. read more

I've had overall positive experiences with the stylists here. Ruth is amazing. Unfortunately, I got my hair done by Julia today and I have to say she was verbally abusive and somewhat of a bully. I scheduled an on line appointment and Julia took Me 30 minutes after my on line appointment time. When I requested a shampoo blow dry and a style, Julia told me I only requested a haircut and because I pushed the wrong button I wouldn't be able to get all My services due to lack of time. I informed Julia I didn't see everything I wanted on the web scheduling and that's why I pushed haircut and she told me for multiple services I had to call in and ask for them directly. Since there was no one waiting she agreed to do shampoo and blow dry but no styling. I touched the back of my hair during the shampoo and she snapped at me and said, " I'm not done yet, you need to let me do my job!" I didn't say a word because she made me so uncomfortable with her hostile tone. I said nothing during the blow dry and while paying for my service I noticed she charged me 10$ more than I am usually charged for those services as I stated earlier, I go there quite often. She seemed to get angry about my question and stated, "I think you're being under charged. You're usually a walk in right?" When I told her I had been scheduling appointments ahead for the last 6 months she got even more angry. At this point , I told her I'm not going to argue, and she proceeded to tell me to talk to corporate if I had a problem and that she wouldn't take me as a customer again. I said, "It seems like you have some personal bias against me. You haven't done my hair in over 6 months and I don't understand this hostility. Then, she walked away. read more

My two boys (12 and 10) got haircuts from Ruth today and she did a fantastic job. We've been going to barbers, which is fine if all it takes to do your hairstyle is a set of clippers, but my boys have longer hair and want young men/older boy haircuts which require scissors. Ruth was very patient with them both and explained what she was doing as she went along which kept them involved and interested in the process. They are both usually very picky about getting a haircut, but this time they seemed to genuinely enjoy it. I feel responsible to update my review as I know it indirectly effects business. After gathering my thoughts and how Supercuts has handled the situation I am moved in a good way. We all need to remember non of us are perfect and have a bad day or moment no matter what our job is. I was contacted by a manager that was willing to make this haircut right. The lady that corrected my haircut reminded me that this wasn't about shaming the person who originally cut my hair but learning from the situation. She was so right and I will take that back to my Job as well. Most importantly, to the stylist that cut my hair and to anyone in the company that might try figure out who it was..... Please know that the stylist had the best customer service skills with a positive personality throughout the haircut. There was never a point which I felt negative thoughts before or after the haircut including the review. Shout out to Kristin and the Salon. I was a late afternoon walking in with no expectations for a super cut. The salon was clean and the music at a tolerable volume. I was told it would be 15 minutes but it was closer to 5! After asking me what I wanted and how much of my long mane to cut (probably 10 inches) got an initial cut them off to the shampoo bowl. I called and asked if I could be seen at 3:30. The response was "yes, we're wide open then". I arrived at 3:30, and was told to check back in 30 mins. I came back in 30 mins. All three stylists were with clients. After waiting another 30 mins, the next mname called was not mine. I spoke up and was told that I should wait another 30 mins. No professional service provider should ask a customer to wait 90 mins. Her only comment was "we got behind". Certainly no apology. She also tried to tell ne that she didn't mean that I could get my hair done when I came in. It's clear, they can't manage their time and have no interest in putting customers first. Dayla did a great job cutting my hair. I have been getting a classic "gypsy shag" for years. it is often hard to find somebody who either already knows how to do this cut or is willing to listen as I provide instructions. She listened as I explained how to do the cut and did a great job executing it. My haircut is amazing! The wait for a Saturday afternoon was as expected about 30-40 min. First time there, an after an hour of waiting time, I decided to leave with no hair cut. They don't know the word ORGANIZATION. They clearly don't know how to use their "reservation" system. They lied to me when I arrived and was told "there were TWO other clients ahead of me," but an hour later I found out there were FOUR. I really liked that she took my hair texture into consideration I have wavy/curly hair and Julia recommended the best cut and bang length for my hair type. I urge you not to go here. Simple women's styles seem to be well out of the people who work here's depth. I have been butchered, and completely ignored by the staff here on three separate occasions. I tell them what I want. They say 'okay' then they proceed to do exactly what I tell them not to. I don't know what it is. I feel completely ignored. I have given them enough chances, and tried different stylists. The only thing I can say positive about my last hair cut is that the woman at least knew I shouldn't have to pay money for what she did to me. I definitely needed a haircut after a long few months of self quarantine and the la mesa salon wasn't available so of course I was a little skeptical of having a new hairdresser give me a hair cut. The procedure to keep things safe and sanitized was well executed, appointments and masks are required of course. They make sure you are sanitized and take your temperature before entering. I liked that. My hairdresser, Carrie, was amazing and friendly and made sure I was getting what I wanted. She was a pleasure and I'll be glad to come back here for my next visit ^_^ read more

Both times a stylist, Kristen, has given her a wonderful hair cut and was very sensitive and respectful to her. Rude and shady! I won't be going back again. Went in with a mask (N95) but they wanted me to use their mask. At the end they charged me for their mask. I went in with my N95 mask thinking it would be easier to just hold in place as any mask whether it's over the ears or over the head would be in the way. The stylist had me hold the mask they gave me (then charged me for) in place and remove the ear straps as she cut around the ears. How is this different from holding my N95 mask in place? The stylist said their business had been considerably slow except for when they first reopened. Now I get why. read more

When it comes to customer service I applaud my hair stylist Blue. I arrived to my appointment early enough to watch her do three back to back men's cuts and they all left with a smile on their face. Naturally that is a good sign that you've chosen a good stylist, and it was true!! My hair feels so brand new and is split end free. I bought a product as well which she recommended named Its A Ten and it is worth every penny! She was attentive, she was so easy to talk to and gave me great advice on how to add natural volume to my hair which I now use everyday. I've referred my sisters and girlfriends to her and I'm sure they'll love her too! Oh, get the deep conditioning treatment best 15 minuets ever. Make sure to see Blue! read more

Awful! I walk in to the store around 4pm to a woman who asks if I called ahead. I told her I hadn't and that I could come back another day if they were too busy. She insisted that there would be an opening at 5pm and to come back. "Either her or I will be available at 5pm, so we'll get you in no problem" I come back at 5:05pm. Both stylists completely ignored me as I walked to the counter so I sat down. As she blabs on with a walk in who was fixing a previous haircut that she doesn't even charge, for 30 minutes, the other stylist addresses a man who walked in after me. She says, "one more person then it's your turn". I assumed that one person would be me; however, when she comes back she takes a different customer from the lobby. When the first woman finishes her personal conversation, she takes another customer to her station and didn't acknowledge me at all. Even as I walked out the door they didn't even look in my direction. This place needs SERIOUS help with customer service. I would not go back to this place if it weren't for my experience with Blue (Azul). She seems like the only one with sense in this location. read more

MOST FRUSTRATING hair experience I've ever had. I know it's not a fancy salon but all I went in for was a shampoo and blowdry as I was tired and sore from sleeping on my arm wrong. As far as hair mine is as easy as it gets: fine, medium lenght and straight. It takes a hairdresser 30 minutes tops to give my hair a blowout. Not here, becsuse after 1AND A HALF HRS I was coming out if my skin with frustration- not only for the absurd time it took her but because I could tell my roots and underneath my hair was still WET. So when she declared she was done I had to tell her to dry my roots because I was not going to walk out after all that time with wet hair - and it did not look good either. I was so pissed that it ruined the rest of my day. Never stepping foot in there again, a complete waste of money and time. read more

I have been taking my son here since he was 4 yrs old, and have always been satisfied with the service and quality of the haircuts. Today was a different story and the experience was bad enough to make me want to take my business elsewhere. I made an "appointment" for my 8 yr old sons haircut. THe appointment was at 4:30pm -we showed up on time, and one man in a chair was just about finished, while there were 2 other people waiting. There were two stylist working at the time. THe gal check us in, and tells me to have a seat and that there are two other people before me. So I say, "but our appointment was at 4:30". Her response was "that wasn't an appointment". No other explanation, Nada. That totally irritated me- what was the point of me calling ahead of time if I was going to wait behind the other two people already waiting? As I sit there waiting I decide to call another place and they were able to accomodate my son. I tell the second stylist that we are leaving and she said she would go ahead cut my son's hair. At that point what the first girl did ruined the entire experience. Poor service. I will not be back. read more

I always had a good experience here in the past but today I brought in my 4 year old daughter for a trim. They didn't wash it but she did want the lady to give her two braids after the cut. Somehow this ended up costing $32?? Before the tip, of course. I wasn't told beforehand that she would charge me so much for the braids, if that's what made it so expensive. I checked my husband in for a haircut. Online it stated no wait currently, so we headed there and it only took us about 6 minutes to get there. When we got there, the girl greeted us and she was sweet, she told us it'll be about 10-15 minutes. 20+ minutes go by and no updates. I'm not an impatient person, but I feel updates are really important even if it's just to tell us it'll be another 10 or so minutes. Another lady was there and she walked in after us but I'm sure she was coming back because there was a wait, and if that's the case, their updates online weren't accurate either. I had a hair cut appointment on 10/16/19. Amanda who is the manager, I was told, and my personal opinion, was absolutely the worst . The first problem was at the shampoo bowl. she would not allow the use of the black plastic shawl for protection from water while shampooing. she insisted that she would use 3 towels and that would protect me, well when the shampooing was overwith, I was drenched all over my neck and down my back past my bra back. so I told her to use the blow dryer to try and get the water off of my clothing. she did a half-assed job of that. And during the time she was shampooing me she said she used a bluing shampoo and I said isn't that is what is used on elderly women, and she said well I use it all the time, it adds light to the hair ???? I was not happy about that at all, I should have fled, then, but no, I stayed for the hack-job hair cut that I received from her. it is the worst hair cut that I think I have ever received. pieces or chunks of hair butchered. Unbelievable. I would NOT recommend this establishment to anyone. it is terrible. read more

It's a chain salon, so don't expect anything out of this world. That said, my haircut is very basic (5 on the top, 3 on the sides, trim around my ears, taper in the back) and came out looking very tidy and squared away, just how I like it. The service was friendly and the wait time short. There were no frills or anything added, just a simple clip and trim. For short hair cuts, Supercuts does just fine.
