I cannot recommend this Ulta store enough, not only is it located at the mall where you can do other shopping but this location has so many different items and selections. My experience here was nothing but great, the ladies at the front were all soo friendly and welcoming. And once we call them out on what they're doing they try to call security but security didn't enter into the store. They tried so hard to make us feel less than but it didn't work. Sometimes when I go to this ULTA location some of the employees are condescending toward me but Hallie was KIND and offered to help!!! As for the ulta, it was clean and on par with the other stores. However, like previously said, at this location some of the employees are sometimes condescending toward me or make me feel stupid when asking skin care or makeup routine questions. Super duper shady business...I was asked to open a credit card to save 20% on a pretty big purchase for my nieces bday gift. I went ahead and opened it and shockingly was denied given that I have a super high credit score. I was told I would receive a letter in the mail with my denial but within a week I received an approved credit card instead with a huge limit! Soooo basically, they talked me into applying and conveniently denied me at the register so they didn't have to honor the 20% incentive, even though I was actually approved! Ulta has some good deals many times. I have tried a few of their store brand items and they seem to be a pretty decent quality for the price. I usually go here to get my Benefit makeup. They have a great selection and it's always well stocked. I also buy my shampoo here when they have good specials on it. The store is usually very clean. Millennials Kill Brick and Mortar Stores! Ok, these workers are probably more like Gen Z than millennials, but still. I know it's been about 200 years since I worked in customer service, back when employees parked on the far side of the lot to leave the near spaces for customers (sniff). The good old days. But this service was a bit astonishing in the depth of how hard they did not seem to care. The employee unlocked the door a couple minutes late-- not a big deal. As they walked away, they exclaimed to another employee, "I'm going to punch her in the face!" which I assume was a semi-joke but disconcerting to hear. Like, do you not say, "Good morning, welcome in" and if you have a gossipy conversation, maybe not have it directly in front of customers as if we are invisible or deaf. I came in to try a certain matte lipstick. It took me a while to find it. The employees were engaged in various activities, none of which were helping customers. Finally I found it and wanted to try it on. One happened by and asked if I needed help and showed me where the applicators were. I applied it and found it drying. The Ulta website expert had recommended a certain primer to make this lipstick less drying, but I could not find it. I looked for an employee. There were two in the back, one doing stock, and one in the front at the register. I then used my phone to look up the product to see if it was in stock at this store. I did not feel like walking around and begging for help from people who obviously did not care whether I spent $50 in their store, so I left. read more

I scheduled hair and makeup and the experience was horrible. To be fair, there is no way to meet with the stylist beforehand to discuss options so you're springing your requests on them at the time of the appointment. However, it would help if they actually listened instead of just copying their own style onto the clients. I walked out looking like a clown with huge blocked eyebrows and giant bright red lips lined well outside my natural lipline. My hair was a messy, frizzy mess. $150 later I found myself having to correct my hair and makeup before I could attend a formal, professional event. Just like any other Ulta with good customer service, great products and a huge store. As usual I'm looking for some Jack Black or Anthony to keep me going. As I'm looking at the men's grooming products a employee asks if I need anything and I tell her not at this moment. Then about a minute later an older lady comes to the right of me and is also looking at the men's grooming products. Like I said the customer service is usually on top of things. Then about a minute later the same lady comes to the other side of me and ask is this where the after shave is? I told her yes and then I showed her all the different brands of after shave from Jack Black, The Art of Shaving and so on. Long story short the employees should of been the ones to help this lady. Me and my cousin came in to get a Christmas present ( foundation ) for my cousins mom. We walked in ready to ask some questions about a full coverage foundation that helps with creasing. Me and my aunt are the same skin tone color. I spotted Itze( her badge said sales manager ) l and asked her for assistance she walked over dragging her feet and in no rush( not saying run ) but she walked over so slow it looked like she didn't want to help from her body language. We let her know we were looking for a foundation and if she can color match me and we would show her a picture of my aunt to show her we were the same tone she looked at the phone and the picture and said " oh no I thought you were going to show me a picture of the foundation you wanted" it sounded so rude and she didn't offer to color match me or help us out at all she walked away and we had to ask for another sales assistant and as we were asking she was laughing and smirking. She was extremely unprofessional and didn't give good holiday energy i can't see this woman making sales with that attitude. I had my eye makeup done by Bria looks okay but why charge someone $10 just to apply their own false lashes, that's usually included in eye makeup. This store is always understaffed. There is one girl on the floor on August 8, 2019 @7pm. I asked her a question and she just sent me to a section because she was helping someone (which I understand) but she never came to check on me once she was finished with her customer but started asking other people if they needed help. If you're African American, forget it. Not only do they not try to help you but they have no idea what to suggest for your skin tone. In a beauty store, I would think they would have a rainbow of different people working to be able to help all skin tones and not just caucasian. Poor customer service. When I walked up to register she barked at me asking for my phone number. No pleasantries or politeness. I explained I wanted to return something for store credit and apply it to today's purchase. She gave me grief that I bought the product over 60 days ago so she brought the manager over who again said they don't accept products purchased over 60 days ago. It was a concealer I used once and I was color matched by an employee incorrectly as it was way too orange for my complexion. I calmly flipped the receipt over and their OWN return policy clearly states returns AFTER 60 days would be store credit. How is 60 days supposedly the cut off?
