I decided to get a haircut last minute. I called the salon about 15 minutes after it opened in the…read moremorning. The person who answered the phone sounded very friendly. She booked my appointment within 2 hours of my call. I arrived at the salon on time and was accommodated right away. My stylist Stephanie was friendly and professional. She was open to suggestions I had about my hair style. All I wanted was a simple bob. My hair was shoulder length when I came in and chin length when I left! Boy did Stephanie take a load off! I joked with her that we should've done a before and after. I looked so polished compared to the frumpy ponytail I walked in with. I've been told by many hair stylists that my hair is thick and sometimes challenging to cut. Stephanie skillfully cut my hair. She was detail oriented and did some extra snips here and there to finish up my hairdo. This was my first time here and I had a pretty good experience! Sometimes it feels like a big gamble when you come to a hair salon that you're not familiar with. You never know what you're gonna get! As for this place I would definitely consider coming back! She pushed on me having my stuff all on the counter which I had 3 items, so I proceeded with I'm good. While my son when to grab a bottle off the counter she pushes my son and he fell. (My mother was with me) I said excuse me, she said you need to watch your child. I should take that item away from him. I said he's fine, and if he breaks that box I'm buying it anyways. Then she starting telling my son no. EXCUSE ME?!? I have told this location about this situation and I was told I'll get a call back from the head manager... this is was in summer just before fall arrived which was forever ago. That employee is fired however. Okay.... still you had an employee touch another persons child and this was my moms first time to Sally's EVER! So now she's not thrilled with wanting to go to any other one. So prayers she will try another, but I'll NEVER want return to this Sally's EVER. So if y'all got kids, this location may have employees, touch your child or tell them what to do. Idk if it's just me but I wanted to hit this woman. But didn't. All I can say is WOW!! I entered the store and was greeted by Freshta, asking "Hi, how are you today?" "Not good" I answered. This almost black hair, was not supposed to look like this, I said... Freshta has, hands down, the best customer service of anyone anywhere, in any industry, that I have experienced in probably, the past 5 years. Not only was she beyond helpful, she was exceptionally patient with me, she didn't try to oversell me on anything, she suggested DIY solutions and, she followed up, texting me to make sure that every thing worked out ok. Freshta is the type of employee that every employer would kill to have an entire crew of, and one that shoppers can appreciate as she is not pushy or rushed, not rude or short. She is knowledgeable and kind. She explained things on a level that my own salon has never explained - and I pay them really good money. She wasn't condescending like many of today's younger sales staff. She was truly a gem, in my "hour of need". I will go back, probably long before I head back to the over priced salon. I managed to remove the colour from my hair, recolour it to what I had originally expected it to be and, I was under $50. I recall having this done over 10 yrs ago at a salon in Oakville and I was over $300.00. Oh - and i forgot to mention, she totally nailed the new/old colour with no pics to reference. So Amazing.
