This place is the best around! Played here a total of 5 times over July and every time had a great experience with staff, carts, driving range, course and amenities. The course is immaculately maintained and can tell alot of care is put into it. The pro staff are so sweet and every Marshall or bev cart we encountered was so nice and wonderful to talk to. Their carts have nice GPS in them and tracked us accurately too. What I loved most is how consistent and smooth all the greens were and wow the views just set this place apart from most courses in the country. I dream of playing here again and again and will miss it until I return again. Thank you Salishan, Wyatt and Kevin for making my golf summer so amazing this year! read more

Although it's a beautiful course when you pay over a hundred bucks for "GREENS" fees, one would expect decent greens. The greens had not been mowed or rolled and when the majority of your putts get bounced off line do to rough shaggy greens it's quite disappointing. Had a great time playing here. After a blistering summer in Hawaii, golf in jeans and a couple T-shirt's was wonderful. Very nice course and layout. To top it off, we met Frank who is from the islands. He took care of us and couldn't have been nicer. The course was aerated a few weeks ago but that didn't hinder us much. The grass is so plush that we weren't used to balls not kicking on the green when landing just in front. You really have to come in low to get that bounce. So nice to have lots of sand in the traps, been scrapping the bottom at the Oahu munis. A while ago, when I was considering playing here, I met a golfer wearing a Salishan shirt back home. I asked how he liked it and the had nothing but good things to say. We weren't disappointed. Definitely not Bandon level, but at less then half the price, it's a fun day. Nice course. Greens are slick. Not flat. We rode. We'll maintained. Friendly staff. Marshall and beverage cart.

I highly recommend this course to whoever is in the area. From the tee box to the green, from the pro shop to the carts, Salishan is extremely clean, warm, and well taken care of. The staff are very professional. Although the course presents a difficult challenge, the views are hard to beat. The signature hole number 15 (not in this photo) is a severe downhill par 3 playing 130 from the silver tees, the view on the tee box overlooks the ocean and is breathtaking. Overall a great course with plenty of challenging holes and lots of fun to be had. read more

My friend and I played on 5/28/21. We usually play once a year and generally don't have any issues, but this particular day was a terrible experience. It started out with our cart losing power on the third hole. No big deal, a pleasant guy delivered us another one and we continued to play. Many of the greenside bunkers were "ground under repair" and had not had grass removed. The bunker I encountered turned out to have about a half inch of sand, so my wedge was full of dirt after I hit the ball over the green. After four hours, we were climbing the hill to the 14th tee box and once again, our ride was out of a charge. This was too much for us to overcome as we were four hours in and fed up with yet another distraction. Fortunately, we were able to find a downhill route to hobble back to the pro shop. I protested to the guy running the pro shop that collecting $16 per person for carts that didn't have enough juice to make it around the course was not acceptable. Rather than making it right, he explained that I had the option to fill out a form and put it in the box for the owner to read. We left disgusted and will think twice before we play again. I can't understand why the person in charge has no power to make a bad situation better. Doesn't do much for public relations! read more

This is an absolutely amazing golf course. It is a par 71 and was redesigned by PGA player (now Champions' Tour, I believe) Peter Jacobson. The front 9 essentially goes from the road (101) east and back, while the back 9 goes from 101 west and along the bay and back. The views are spectacular and the golf course is in immaculate shape. Definitely a place to put on your "places to golf in Oregon list." read more

Today I golfed at the Salishan resort with my family and a few friend. The staff at the golf lodge was very kind and courteous. We paid $85 a person to play golf and we're excited to hit the course. The moment my best friend and I drove out there to the course we were questioned by the Marshall about our intentions, As we drove up in the golf cart. The tone was rude and and condescending and completely unprovoked. Pat had an attitude with our entire interaction. We told her that we were there to play 18 , ready to let her know what our tee time was. We asked her where the first hole was and she told us, " normally a person checks in with the marshal before teeing off. " We thanked her and assured her that's what we were doing . As the other group teeing off after us( the rest of our family ) pulled up she stopped addressing us and adresses the group behind us. The interaction was extremely rude. At this point we were 10 minutes early for our tee time. Pat then gathered out group for 10 minutes to tell us how we hadn't started properly and then gave us the rules of the golf course. Our first group was rushed the whole time. After we finished the first hole the group behind us was approached by the marshal and told that my group needed to hurry because we were late. We were not. My group was pressured to skip 4 wholes because it was so backed up. I've played many courses and I've never experienced a set of Marshall's so uncourteous in my life. After the front nine we we're so frustrated that we just wanted to leave. But we were encouraged by the group behind us to continue playing. The Marshall then pulled us over again and told us that we were supposed to play the front nine in two hours and we needed to hurry up. The back nine was much easier because we were able to actually golf and have fun. Abby who was a part of the staff found us a few times on the course and was so kind. As well as the golf lodge staff. What was supposed to be a fun day turned into a day of complete frustration. Both Marshall's made this experience awful. I'm not sure I will play this course ever again. We finished the course in 4 hours ready for some refreshment from our family at home. read more

The absolute worst Marshall I have ever met. He was rude and disrespectful. There was a miscommunication between the club house and my husband, and instead of approaching us like adults and simply asking what happened, he aggressively got in my husbands face. I felt discriminated against due to our age. I will never golf here again. read more

Awesome Course and Outstanding Customer Service. Everyone was so friendly and made us feel welcome. We played there twice last week and can't wait to play at Salishan again. The restrooms on the course were clean, and grabbed a hot dog from the Irish pub on the turn. They even had a phone booth with the menu on the 9th Tee box to order so it's ready when you arrive. read more

Played here twice this week - only found about this gem of a course when planning a beach vacation. Loved it: like two experiences as from and back nines are different with both challenging. Course it tight so it's easy to get into trouble with wayward shots. But, all trouble is visible. Staff were welcoming and efficient. Carts not required but wow - well advised so the course can be best enjoyed. Overall we were well pleased. We'll return next year when vacationing in the area - highly recommending it to others. read more
